It is filled with bulk wholefoods including hemp seed powder, cocao nibs, pumpkin powder, chia seed and much much more at a very reasonable price. The basement is sometimes filled with introspective art; exploring spirituality, mindfulness and life. It is though-provoking to observe the way of being in an art form. My favorite part about the store is the little cafe at the front with organic whole food takeout - lentil mushroom salad, chili, pesto white bean kale salad, oat apple bar, kombucha, and raw pumpkin and chocolate cheesecake. Again, endless selection of healthy delicious choices. Each slice of raw cheesecake is made from soaked cashews, hemp heart and coconut milk as base and topped with mulberry or goji berry depending on the type of cheesecake. A well balanced guilty pleasure with healthy fats and protein to heal your body. Although it is important to note that no basil was harm in the making of the pesto; the pesto more than made up for it with an array of superfood: parsley, high quality olive oil and hemp hearts. Each carefully crafted salad is made as a balance meal with protein, antioxidants, , complex crabs, fats, greens, fibers and most importantly love. The chef expressed the importance of cooking with love. Food cooked with a positive frame of mind and love nourish our physical and etheric body. Alternative Thinking explores mindful eating to the next level.

It was really fun to walk around and read about the benefits of all the different supplements and herbs they sell. I really enjoyed walking through this store and would definitely go back on a day I am looking to buy new superfoods.

This massive location on Bloor is two stories and full of absolutely anything a book store could and should have. Books, magazines, clothing, pens, home goods, plushies, and did I mention the books part? This store is very clean, very well organized, and makes it very well known when a book is put out by a Canadian author with a big sticker right on the cover to let you know, and I sure do love supporting other Canadians. Overall, this location is amazing and probably my favourite one. I ended up leaving with a sweatshirt, a poetry book for a friend, and two books my wife picked out. I very much look forward to coming back on my next trip back home!

I loved the big open feel and that there were employees around to ask questions. I had researched options for checking out a local bookstore and landed on this one as it was close to our hotel. I thought the variety was good and liked that books by both local and Canadian authors were marked.

In addition to their main product, books, there are large sections for magazines, stationery, house & home, multimedia & electronics, toys, novelty items and of course a Starbucks (and one that is on the card/star reward system). It does take 2 floors but you have an escalator going up and stairs going down. Within the mall itself, the main entrance is off of Yonge Street and sometimes I cut through there and use the escalator to go to the Cineplex as it is right beside it. They also have a washroom behind the kids' toy section so it is convenient if after a movie and the Cineplex washrooms are busy, I will use the one in Indigo. I've said too much.

I absolutely adore this bookstore at home and now 'abroad', as well. The Toronto store is larger and has a café. There was a lot of foot traffic, so it was busy and crowded. Which is not surprising inside of a big shopping centre/mall. I like the exclusivity element of there not being too many locations anywhere.

This is a pretty huge Chapters or Indigo or whatever the name is these days. It's clean and all the staff are really friendly but not follow you around, in your face kinda friendly. I don't need friends like that. That is what family is for :) I also love to browse all the little gadgets and accessories section. They have some cute Kate Spade items, as well as candles, jewellery, kitchen items. They have some really nice engraved (initials in script form) cheeseboards as well as gold lettered initial mugs. Makes great gifts and gives it that personal touch. I also bought a gorgeous faux fur scarf. I'm in love every time I wear it. I love their huge discount section as I love to read and buy books often. But I also like to pay my mortgage and eat so I can have both my cake and eat it as well here! But I can also go to Starbucks if I really really want some cake too. So technically I can have it ALL!
