After lunch and a workout my wife and I decided to walk over to Oakmont, it was such a beautiful day in Flagstaff we were going to grab a couple cocktails and chill. We ordered a Gray goose martini and a house Manhattan on the rocks. What arrived was half full Martini ice on the side as we requested and at 3/4 full Manhattan glass that looked like weak iced tea I tasted this is my favorite drink it was horribly watered down my wife said taste my martini, i couldn't even taste alcohol we contemplated what to do the bar tender would not make eye contact with me I decided to close out the tab I got the bill $35 I wrote no tip on the tip line on the receipt, we just laughed and laughed as we walked home what a joke what a rip off I've eaten there many times I can say the food is marginal it's like bar food I think I'm scratching this one off my list forever. Good, but the new menu as of June 2026 is disappointing. The portions are smaller, and avoid the new shrimp appetizer. It's awful. They should have kept the Coconut Shrimp on the menu. Not sure who is responsible for the charges, but fire them. Disappointed because as locals this was a go to spot. Not sure when we will get back. The bartender are awesome and the staff very friendly. But they seriously need to take a hard look and the size and quality of the food offerings. read more

Ordered one meal to take home, but after 1/2 hour we had to ask 2 separate employees when our take home meal would be ready. It was brought out right away after asking. We had a very nice dinner at the Oakmont Restaurant, located at the Continental Country Club. We went on a Wednesday evening and made reservations, which turned out to be a good thing as the restaurant was packed. We had a nice booth with a great view of the patio and the golf course beyond. The inside seating is adjacent to the bar area, so consequently the noise level was higher than normal. We enjoyed a cocktail and the view before ordering dinner and had a relaxing experience. Our server, Destiny, was fantastic! The place was packed and we noticed she had tables to serve in different portions of the restaurant, but still managed to check on us and all her other customers frequently. We found her very professional and outgoing and fun! Our meals were both very good. My wife had the Winner Winner Chicken and I had the Cajun Pasta. Both meals were plentiful, with enough leftovers for another meal later. This is a great place to enjoy a fantastic meal! read more

Oakmont is kind of a hit or miss for me. They have dishes like the green chilie stew that I enjoy. Then there are dishes like the braised short rib I had the other day which are disappointing. Would've been nice if all the fat wasn't trimmed off because the short rib was on the dry side. Braised short rib is usually one of my favorite things to eat and this came up short. The service is usually good and hopefully you're lucky enough to get seated with a view of the golf course. Oh yeah, they tack on a "flagstaff service fee" to your bill to make up for the increased minimum wage in town. read more

Walked in and was sat immediately. They have a large patio outside with a wide range of seating in and out. The servers are kind and offer great suggestions. If you sit on the patio there are a ton of lights, shade umbrellas, and heaters for when it gets colder out. All the food and drinks I've tried have been satisfying. Great spot! Views are amazing! We came in after a morning of walking and hiking around Aspen Trail. We wanted to find a spot that had options for lunch so we decided on here. We didn't realize it was a country club but they sat us no problem. The service was amazing. Our server was super nice and punctual. The food was delicious! Asparagus fries are to die for! The sauce they are served with is amazing with a bit of a kick. The nachos are definitely the best nachos I've ever had. Every chip had cheese on it with toppings. They definitely take time and make the nachos correct. The flavors were amazing. The turkey sandwich was nice and loaded with turkey and avocado with a great spicy honey aioli. We come here often and I normally get the bison burger which is the best burger in Flagstaff! Today we tried a few small plates and I can't recommend the smoked trout dip and green chili stew enough! We recently stayed in Flagstaff for two nights and had dinner here both times. The blackened salmon was amazing and so was the peppercorn steak. I had my two year old granddaughter and she had chicken fingers with quality chicken cuts, milk and a fresh fruit cup. The best part was the service, however. Bella was our server and was very attentive to us and the baby. She talked about Bella for two days afterwards and says she misses her! Prices were also good. I should have said something but I didn't want to wait for them to do it over. My English muffin was hard, I needed a steak knife to cut it and the ham was dry and hard. Can't stress how much we fell in love with this restaurant when we were visiting Flagstaff. Not only does this place have beautiful golf course views, but the food here was simply incredible. So what should you order? One of everything if you can afford it! Honestly my favorites were the Ceviche appetizer and the Chicken Sonoma entree, but we were a large group that likes to share food so every time a different app or entree was passed around, no one had any complaints. The food is just that good! I also have to comment on how much I loved the ambiance in this restaurant. We were visiting in November and they still had the most beautiful fall decor up which made the whole restaurant feel warm and cozy. Great view! Our friends with twin's the same age as our daughter, recommended this restaurant to us. Being able to sit and look out at the golf course was really neat for our family! Seems like it's a cool night hangout spot also - the bar was starting to pick up by the time we left our early dinner (before 6pm ). They have kids coloring menus for anyone wondering. The food was delicious! I got their French Onion Soup that was so fancy and so good! And their Grilled Cheese which was huge and hit the spot! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the service - although very friendly - tapered off at the end and left us waiting. We had a very nice lunch on the patio, after a round of golf. Our waitperson, Evelyn, was great. She started by asking if we'd eaten there before. When we said "no," she asked if we wanted the quick description or the long one. We asked for the long one, and it changed both of our minds for our order. I had the Cajun Pasta, and my wife had the street tacos. I loved the pasta, but take care -- it is SPICY. I enjoyed the whole bowl, while needed an extra beer to cool my tongue. The Rock Shrimp street tacos were just as you'd like, in a nice soft blue corn tortilla, with nicely cooked and spiced (nowhere near the heat of the pasta, thank goodness), with plenty to eat. The restaurant looks chill and the ceviche appetizer was nice and seemed fresh and the waiter was nice. However, that is where everything took a turn for the worst my ribs dinner and my wife's ravioli were horrible. Her dish seemed like it was store bought frozen ravioli. My ribs tasted as if it was cooked days ago, frozen and thawed to serve a customer and the customer turned it down and then the restaurant froze the dish again and thawed it again to serve to me. Along the parts of the ribs where they were cut I could see some sort of onion dip from another dish. The ribs were tough and rubbery. The mashed potatoes looked like they were also made days ago and had a horrible consistency. Both the potatoes and beans looked like frozen and thawed puke. I took a few bites and could not finish it. I left almost the entire plate full and the waiter asked me if I wanted to box it up and I said "no". I would not feed that to a dog. To be clear it looks horrible and I still tried to give it a go with a taste and it tasted how it looked. I appreciate the waiter, the look of the restaurant, and the appetizer but this should not be a full restaurant if they cannot make proper entrees. They should stick to being a bar only and serve small plates. I think they would actually be an above average bar. read more
