She told me "You are lucky" I asked what do you mean? She said the pick up time says 2pm. I told her no, I scheduled a noon pick up time. She responded with "Well you're lucky". Ok fine I wasn't going to argue with her. So fast forward to the birthday party, the birthday cake was too oily or not cooked enough. Cake in my experience is suppose to be light and fluffy, which this one was not. Needless to say I will not be going back to this bakery ever again. (My first impression of the lady telling me "I'm lucky" was that I was blessed to have a grandma in her 90's)

It is just funny to experience it. The folks are always kind and efficient there and I've only ever gotten their donuts, so that is all I can speak for. Between the storms and the virus, none were to be found from my nearby grocery store. I did a dive into Google and found Reeves was open. I called, had a great conversation with a gentleman and he told me he could have one ready by 2:00 (before my wife came home from work at the hospital). We were both new to Hummingbird cake, but I took what I could get these days. OMG...blown away. What have I been missing out on all these years? It is like banana bread on steroids.
