We feel incredibly lucky to have found The Nurturing Place, a warm and loving in-home daycare tucked up on the 2nd floor on 91st, between Columbus and CPW. Our daughter has been attending since she was just 6 months old and is now a thriving 2.5-year-old who loves going every day. Over the past two years, she's learned so much--she can count to 20, recognize letters and their sounds, and has developed a wonderfully expressive vocabulary. Beyond literacy and numeracy skills, TNP has given her essential emotional tools: she's learned how to recognize and regulate big feelings with breathing techniques and gentle guidance. She's even started potty training with confidence! From day one, the care and thoughtfulness have been evident. As a baby, she was fed every 3 hours and given all the cuddles and comfort she needed. Now, she enjoys 3 healthy meals a day provided by the daycare. (Truly an unexpected bonus given how affordable the daycare is!) She's also soaking up Spanish too! The variety of activities keeps her engaged and happy--community walks, sprinkler time in the summer, music and art classes, and plenty of free play. She's learned manners, how to take turns, and how to be a respectful friend. She's built a sweet circle of friends she enjoys seeing outside of daycare, too. As parents, we've found not just a daycare, but a supportive and inclusive parenting community. We can't recommend The Nurturing Place highly enough. read more

My son has been here since he was about 8 months, he's almost 2. And i could not say this enough, but we love the staff and owner. Ms Tai is so welcoming and sweet. She gives you a break down of what activities the kids will be doing day by day. The staff, they are so tentative to the kids, and they are treated as if they are one of their own family members. I remember going into my appointment and my son just smiling and he ran and gave a hug. It sold me, and before you ask yourself why, understand when kids are just around family they are a little iffy about going to others. That's when i knew he saw something more than i did. And i listened to it. They have helped me in so many ways, it's like Im dropping him off to my sisters house. He's comfortable there and cared for. As a first time parent, it's not easy to let your little one go and put them in the care of someone else's arms. But i would choose them over and over again. If i choose to have another child, i know i have a family thats more than welcoming to my child and me. Your child will definitely be in great hands. read more

Leaving your child in someone else's care is never easy, but this daycare has given us real peace of mind. From the very beginning, the staff made our child feel safe, seen, and genuinely loved. It's hard to put into words how much that means as a parent. Every day feels thoughtful and nurturing -- whether it's music, crafts, outdoor play, or simply the way they speak to the kids with so much patience and kindness. They've even helped with potty training, which has been a big help at home. One thing we especially love is that one of the caregivers speaks to our child in Spanish. We cannot recommend TNP enough. Our son started at 5mo and while we aren't *anxious* first time parents per se, it was our first time leaving a child at a daycare and we were so nervous. Ms. Tai put everything at ease. She even connected us with other parents to speak to before we made our decision to enroll. We've been there for a year and a half now and couldn't be happier with our son's care. He is surrounded by kids both older and younger and learns so much every day not only from other children, but by the incredibly caring and loving staff. There has been one changeover of staff, and while it was a little stressful at first, Ms. Tai not only quickly filled the ranks without ever dropping a ball, but communicated with parents every single step of the way. The ship is now running better than before! TNP even underwent a 'facelift' a few months ago with fresh paint, decorations, and a slew of new toys and furniture pieces that have allowed for more open creativity for the kids as well as more space to play. TNP works with your child's needs as well as your desire as parents (ie. nap schedules, eating preferences, dietary needs, baby-lead weaning, etc) and knows your kid so well, they can provide daytime feedback/guidance, its almost a partnership to help your child learn and grow. They also provide food, and it is such a relief to not have to think about packing food/snacks every day! We send our kid with frozen breastmilk and while you provide the cups/bottles, they take care of cleaning it! A godsend!!! A good daycare is where a child needs to just be loved, and I can guarantee you your child will be loved and cared for so well here, the learning and growth is an added bonus :) read more

My son has been at TNP since October 2020, and it has been a great experience. What I like best about TNP is how the caretakers structure their days, and the special attention they take to teach them something new each week. I am consistently surprised and delighted at how much my son picks up from day care (songs, counting, letters, animals, on and on). There's music class, cooking class (where the kids dress up as chefs and help the caretakers make baked goods!), and Spanish class once a week. When the weather is good, the kids visit local parks, shops, and libraries. TNP is also especially good at communication. We get consistent updates, photos, and videos throughout the day. When any issues arise (allergic reactions, rashes, etc), they always promptly reach out with status updates, which puts us at ease. Miss Tai and the staff are extremely thoughtful and attentive, and have gone out of their way to make sure my son is comfortable and happy. TNP also provides food, 3 meals a day, which is amazing. Overall, I am extremely happy with TNP, and can't imagine having my son attend day care anywhere else. read more

Our daughter currently attends Mrs.Tai's daycare and I wanted to share how wonderful it is. We move often and so have been to several daycares, and the Nurturing Place is easily the best. 5 reasons below. 1. Wonderful teachers: Mrs.Tai and the other teachers are kind, caring, protective, and also know when and how to stop bad behavior from the kids. 2. Learning: Our daughter has learned a ton, there are lots of toys, but also lots of books, and she regularly comes home with new words and concepts, which makes us very happy. 3. Photos and video updates: The teachers send regular photo and video updates throughout the day, which is a great way to keep tabs and makes you smile. 4. Lots of activities: When the weather is good the teachers take the kids out to explore the neighborhood and central park, which is wonderful. 5. Our daughter is 20 months old. We started the daycare in November and couldn't ask for a better place for her. The place has an activity every day, they going out for a walk outside, visiting community places. Food is provided for kids. They don't turn the TV on (amazing!). The staff is very professional. My wife and I were looking for a home based daycare which is difficult to find on the Upper West Side. We wanted a place that gave our daughter more attention. First of all, Is this place really a registered child care center?? Had an awful experience when evaluating this place as potential day care for my 2 and 4 year old. I initially saw the positive reviews on Yelp and was excited as its close to home, however this seems to be a case where the reviews didn't exactly match up to actual experience. Additionally, I had attempted to research all the qualifications of the provider and found: 1.) that not only is "the center" is operating out of a rented personal apartment, but that 2.) the License/Registration ID: 581646 listed/provided DOES NOT MAP to this address (nor this provider)? as per https://ocfs.ny.gov/main/childcare/ccfs_template.asp (aka NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF FAMILY SERVICES) ***RED FLAG ALERT in any concerned mothers heart. 3.) When I attempted to inquire directly about these issues in the hopes of better understanding what I may have missed, I was instead met with an extremely rude tone, condescending approach and evasive responses by Taihisha, none of which quelled my concerns, rather the encounter exacerbated them! Final thoughts: Do your own homework on this place. My kids are going elsewhere. read more

I didn't get a chance to put my son in this daycare as the location no longer worked for our family. Although I will say that Mrs Tai's vibe is awesome, she is so warm and extremely motherly. I felt so comfortable with her and that was only via phone conversations. We had to cancel and reschedule our appointment to tour the daycare a few times and each time she was patient and understood. Her assistant Ms Renee was also great, she always returned my phone calls and maintained a professional yet friendly demeanor. We love the Nurturing Place. Our son has attended now for over a year now. When I became pregnant with my second, we didn't need to look at any other options because we knew exactly where she would go to daycare. Mrs. Tai and the other teachers are amazing. The children are in a welcoming, caring and supportive environment. They have designed a program so that the kids learn so much. I'm often surprised at the things our son says when he is only 2. If the weather is warm, they are outside and go to the library frequently. Now that it has been cold - they have had special programs like cooking class and yoga to keep the children engaged. I'm extremely happy to be the parent of a child attending the Nurturing Place. My daughter just turned two years old and she knows all her nursery songs, the ABC's (she can even identify some letters), numbers, colors, and shapes. We've been attending the Nurturing Place for only 5 months but are so happy we choose it as her daycare. It is in the home of Mrs. Tai the Director of the Program (she is a former social worker) and the home feeling makes it unique and especially warm. Being first time parents is hard. Being first time parents in New York City is even harder. We thought we only had two options, a daycare that cost slightly less than Harvard or a nanny who pays more attention to her cell phone then the kid. Whether it had been fate or pure coincidence we had stumbled upon The Nurturing Place on this very site. Hesitant at first, as with anything that looks too good to be true we decided to give them a call. Of course they were full at the time and offered to put us on a waiting list. A couple weeks had gone by and we received a phone call saying a slot would be opening up. They asked if we would like to come in for an interview. We were immediately impressed that they interview all families they are considering first. Fast forward 7 months and we couldn't be happier with our choice in childcare. Mrs. Tai and her assistants have become extended family. Its like being part of a small community as you get to know each of the parents and children due to the intimate setting. With this type of environment, the children not only become close to one another, but they have plenty of one and one time with the providers. They hold music, art and yoga classes. Take field trips to museums. Go outside daily (weather permitting). And provide healthy snacks, breakfast and lunch. Mrs. Tai has great values and is committed to helping each of the parents raise well behaved, respectful and over all good people. We can't recommend The Nurturing Place enough. We found The Nurturing place on yelp, when I went back to work after having my daughter, she was 11 moths old. My daughter took her first steps there, learned her shapes, ABCs, and how to count to 20, all before her 2nd birthday. Ms.Tai, Ms.Renee, and Ms.Nisha, are the kindest most loving care givers. The Nurturing Place lives true to its name. The daycare director, Mrs. Tai and her assistant Ms. Renee are wonderful teachers, caregivers, and substitute mommies when you are unable to be with your child during the day. Operated out of the director's cozy apartment on W91st at CPW, Mrs. Tai maintains an affordable but competitive rate for her services. I did extensive research into daycares in the area on the UWS-nothing compares. These other daycares that charge a college tuition sometimes don't even change your child's diaper and will call you to do it and almost purposefully create a cold atmosphere of being distant, non-cuddly, and rigidly structured with no room for flexibility for your parent/child needs and situation. The Nurturing Place Daycare is the complete opposite. Mrs. Tai has a daily routine of circle time, playtime -indoor/outdoor playground (dep on weather; during summer- sprinklers!), lunch, nap, play time, circle time. They organize field trips, and have twice weekly music and art class with a specialized teacher. Mrs. Tai even organized her first Family Day in June around Father's Day and it was spectacular. The fathers were honored with certificates, she had a bouncy house, Spongebob, a magician, balloon maker, and even her own family cried as she thanked all the parents for making her business dream come true. She strives to build community and culture represented by the potluck dishes from the respective families present at Family Day. The Nurturing Place is also very diverse. There are all ages, languages, and race/ethnicities represented of the student and parent population. My son has grown both physically and developmentally- learning how to walk, sing songs, ABCs, and count to 20 at only 19 months old. Its rolling admissions, so call to see if she has availability for your child (depends on age and spots). She will talk to you over the phone and then invite you in for a visit and interview. My husband and I talked to all the parents because we came around pick-up time and each one gave a glowing recommendation. We are extremely happy with The Nurturing Place! Mrs. Tai, the owner, is amazing and we feel so fortunate to have found her! Mrs.Tai, and Ms. Renee are like family and they make you feel like family as soon as you meet them. They are warm, caring, and absolutely adore children. Most importantly they are genuine, very open, and honest. Our son was 15 months old when he started attending Nurturing Place this past spring. It was a trying first month and half for him to adjust to daycare, however the staff was very supportive and always provided daily status updates - this was very comforting to my wife and me. Mrs. Tai is professional, big-hearted, while being firm and treats her charges as family. Ms. Renée and the rest of Mrs. Tai's team are warm, loving, and patient, providing the kids with a safe, social, fun & educational environment. There is the ideal mix and balance of discipline, structure, teaching and learning. 8am to 6pm hrs of operation are a godsend for working parent(s). Meals and snacks are provided and the physical space is large for a Manhattan home based daycare. Regular classes/visits by outside instructors in sign language and music, in addition to museum trips and outings to Central Park offer enrichment and exercise. The population at the daycare is diverse and really a mini United Nations with kids ranging in age and background, whose families originally hail from Asia, Africa, Europe (East & West), Latin America, the Caribbean and the Good Ol' USA. My wife and I searched far and wide for the right daycare from the UWS to Harlem (we live in Manhattanville) and we feel very fortunate to have found The Nurturing Place. It is a hidden gem and a wonderful, affordable resource for parents with children ages 6 months to 4 years. Our experience has been so positive that we've committed our newborn twins for spring '15. The daycare is steps away from Central Park on a quiet, safe block across the street from P.S. 84. I usually take the M104 bus or IRT # 1 subway for drop-off in the mornings and often will drive the family minivan in the evenings between 5-5:30pm for pickup - I've never had a problem finding parking on the block: 60+ times. As a lifelong advocate for quality education and having served on the board of directors of a Central Harlem based educational non-profit, I whole-heartedly recommend The Nurturing Place - it is the home daycare platinum standard for those living in zip codes: 10024, 10025, 10026, 10027 and beyond. read more

I can't express how grateful I feel to have found The Nurturing Place. Our oldest daughter started there when she turned one, about 4 months before the COVID-19 pandemic began in earnest. Our youngest started as a baby about 2 months ago. Ms. Tai and the staff (shout out to Brianna, Maylene, Caroline and Maya) are so very kind, competent, and incredibly compassionate. This has been a difficult year - there is no way around it. The staff there have continued to show up and put their hearts into this work in spite of all the challenges. They have put the safety of my kids first, with temperature checks throughout the day and open, clear communication during the rare times when there has been concern about a potential exposure (my whole family got tested during a brief shutdown this winter). They have carefully followed state guidelines, which increased my peace of mind around the difficult decision to keep my kids in daycare. My oldest is very high energy, and she is now growing into such a responsible, considerate person. She comes home with new words all the time (I almost fainted when she pointed out an "octogon" to me!), she is learning English and Spanish vocabulary, she puts dishes in the sink, shares with her baby sister and helps clean up. She looks forward to going back in the mornings. The Nurturing Place is really the perfect mix of a home daycare (loving staff who really know your kids, small size so they get personal attention) and a bigger program (they have structured days, learning activities, outdoor excursions, and use the brightwheel app for photo sharing and meal/diaper logs). We started out daughter at The Nurturing Place when she was about 16 months old. She learned so much from Ms Tai and all the staff, and the other kids too. We really watched her flourish under Ms Tai's care, putting together sentences, singing the alphabet (we hear her in her crib singing her ABCs by herself), she can count and recognize numbers, and can even count to 3 in Spanish. There are so many things she says and does that impress and surprise us everyday that we know she learned at TNP. Best of all, she has so much fun. They seem to do arts and crafts everyday, and go outside when whether is permitting. They are so close to the park and get there often, but they also explore the entire neighborhood as part of the daycare experience, from going to the library to looking at flowers in a community garden. And we loved that we got so many updates and pictures of our daughter throughout the day. Not only do we love seeing our daughter engaging and having fun, but it helped us talk to her about the activities she was doing when at home. I love this place! So did my baby and our entire family!! The nurturing place was part of our lives for 9 months and I can only recommend this place to who ever is looking for the right balance of love, attention and joy for their little ones. I went back to work when my baby was very little and it was one of the most painful things I had to do. However the Nurturing Place helped me in this process, and made things much easier for me. Because TNP is really about nurturing and providing love to the little ones they have under their care. We had to move after 9 months and leaving TNP was very sad, my baby had a second family there. Here is what makes this place very special; they are SERIOUS about their duty, and understand the importance of their role for your baby, and by extension for your family. They can show flexibility if this help you but never if this is detrimental to the baby or to the other babies. All the caregivers are professionals with years of experience under their belt, but they also are full of JOY, and your baby will prove it to you by coming home every day with a smile, a laugh and peaceful energy. Babies feel safe and reassured at the Nurturing place; it's the common thread of every child in attendance! Our new daycare told us that our baby was very confident, smiling and expressive, and I attribute this to TNP!! Finally, chances are that Tai and the other caregivers will become part of your family. We found a new daycare for our baby after our move, but the Nurturing Place will always have a special place in our hearts. read more

Our son attended The Nurturing Place for 2 years (from ages 1-3). We feel extraordinarily lucky to have found Mrs.Tai. Our child was well-cared for, loved, and learned so much in the time he was there. We value the experience we had and my son's bond with his caregivers. Mrs. Tai and her assistants have several years of experience and it shows. There are daily routines for the children (play time, snack time, circle time, nap time,etc), regular library visits, arts & crafts, and even music classes led by a special instructor. There have also been other outings to the park, the local arts & crafts center, and even to the natural history museum. My son thrived at the Nurturing Place. He was a very quiet, shy person when he first started and while there his language and social skills grew exponentially. He learned his colors, shapes, could count to 10, and recite his ABCs all at 2. Their attentiveness and love have helped shape him into a confident, friendly, (even well-mannered) boy. What we really appreciated as well were the pictures and videos of our son that were sent to us throughout the week. After moving away from the UWS we had to relocate our son to a different nursery school, but he still to this day talks about Mrs. Tai. There are even mornings when he's getting ready and he'll tell us he doesn't want to go school, he wants to go back to his "old school" and see his "old friends." The Nurturing Place will stay in our hearts. I would also like to address the previous negative review written by Francine R since I find it unfair and hard to believe: 1. Yes, the daycare is run from a residential apartment. That does NOT detract from the care and attention the children receive, evident from my review or any other review from a parent who's child has attended TNP. My daughter attended this daycare for almost a year and my husband and I (and my daughter!) were very happy. The ladies that took care of her were some of the warmest and most wonderful people! They are fun- loving, but also safe and very proactive with any issues such as potential illness or budding behavioral problems. I was aware within seconds if my daughter had as much as a diaper rash! I always knew my daughter was in good hands. She also always wanted to be there and felt very attached to her care givers and class mates- she still talks about them months later! I was very sad to leave, we moved out of the city or else we would have continued there. read more

We loved The Nurturing Place and had a great experience! Our son was there for almost a year from 5 to 16 months before our move back to Europe last week and we miss it already! For us it didn't feel like a daycare but more like an extended family. Miss Tai and her team are doing a fantastic job and one can feel that they enjoy what they are doing. They are all very loving, caring and kind and provide a fun and safe environment for the kids. The daily routine is great and very flexible for the youngest ones and there are a lot of great activities like music, cooking, yoga, museum and park visits etc. Every day the parents receive updates, videos and pictures and for the babies a daily summary sheet of everything (we actually had that until the end because we liked it so much - thanks for that). There is a monthly schedule that gets send out in advance as well as monthly picture collages. Everything is very organized and well structured. We never once had to worry about anything and felt 100% comfortable to have our son there. Whenever there was a new topic like transitioning to solids or other things, Miss Tai and the team were always amazing in helping us. The food that gets provided for the kids is great too. We are very grateful for the wonderful time we had at The Nurturing Place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for childcare. It is the best! read more

Both our children attended this home-based daycare, our youngest is still attending. We could not be happier with The Nurturing Place (TNP). As opposed to many other facilities we visited, the staff at TNP actually care about children; their knowledge and experience help them grow and learn (from the alphabet to important social skills). The place is smaller than other places but it is a safe and supportive environment, with a daily routine and monthly theme, trips to the library and walks in the neighborhood/park. We really appreciate the learning routine, including circle times and reading. All children nap in the same room and meals are included. Ms Tai has loads of experience and is always there to provide insight and advice (if needed). Her staff is amazing. Another positive thing is the photos and videos we are sent on a regular basis. This place could be the best kept secret day care facility in UWS! Very Affordable and very positive environment which you would not expect to find together at any day care facility in this neighborhood. Ms. Tai is the owner of this NY State licensed group family day care located next to Central Park in a second floor of a brownstone. We found this place by chance as we looked up NYS licensed child care providers. Our four-year old daughter has been attending this facility during the weekdays before and after preK classes at PS 84. Early drop off, before 8:30am/ late pick up,after 5pm, is possible. Ms. Tai is usually working with younger children/infants. She is very professional and always in good mood, and my daughter is so happy to attend Ms. Tai's day care. You will notice easily that the environment is so positive, the children ( who are very diverse) are taking up the good manners naturally. This facilty and Ms. Tai much exceeded our expectations. We would like to strongly recommend her facility to any concerned parent who need great professional child care at affordable price read more

Very Unprofessional and basically not caring attitude by the Staff. I was looking for a temporary day care for my daughter as we're coming to NYC on business and don't live there.At first they were all happy and excited and agreed to it. They even scheduled a visit but later they flipped on me saying that they don't provide care on a temporary basis. I should have seriously recorded the conversation the way they spiked to me! Would never send my kid or any kid there. I wonder how they would treat the little, innocent kids! read more

Ms. Tai and Ms. Renee are as good as it gets (and their support staff is additionally carefully chosen and well trained). My short review is this: our son started here shortly after he turned 1 and only stopped because we moved out of state. The quality of his care was so positive, affirming, educational and loving for him (but also for the parents) that it was almost the reason we stayed in the city instead of taking a new job opportunity. I cannot say enough good things. My longer review is this: all of the teachers there will make a point to know your child and you as the parent(s) to figure out how to best make a safe and nurturing space. In less than a year's time our Son was encouraged to play and learn and interact such that he loved going to school and seeing his friends, he was learning shapes (including octagon and pentagon), colors, numbers and letters. All of this not in a rigid curriculum based way but in a playful fun way. They invite sharing of good ideas or learnings from doctors or books so that parents and teachers can learn together about recent studies or developments. They maintain their certification and are checked by the state (the day we visited followed a surprise inspection which they passed 100%). Ms. Tai meets each child where they are but also ensures that the common space if safe. We had an incident where our child was bit by another (developmentally appropriate but still not ideal) and it was promptly with great care and concern for all the children involved. The time they get to spend outside is great but I'm still amazed at how Ms. Tai can transform a relatively small space into playground, classroom, rest space and lunchroom easily. There is a clear sick policy to protect everyone but everyone is also helpful in making sure that things like potential diaper rash or sickness are caught early - an easy thing to do because they recognize when a particular child may be acting out of character. The family parties are a wonderful time to connect with the other families there (past and present). So, for us, Ms. Tai, Ms. Renee and their amazing staff set the bar for what great child care could be. It is supportive for the whole family and a loving place. This is to the point that my two year old, who left there four months ago still talks about his friends and teachers there. For that matter, my husband and I do too - we're so lucky to have landed in this spot; truly a blessing. read more

Nurturing place is great place. It's completely affordable. What's more it's very proper and professional daycare. You can rely on Taihisha. I put my son there since he was six months until 15 months. At the beginning I also have doubt if she can take care of five kids with assistant help. Time has proof everything. Taihisha put her love to her job. She is very tough and responsibility. If any accidents happen, she always filed an accident report. She always fed the baby healthy foods and sometimes give me suggestion about how to prepare baby foods. Although it's a family care and run by herself, she arranged all activities and learning program. She is very capable. After we move out the neighborhood, we put our son to new daycare at Bayside. He seems enjoy less compared to Taihisha place. I remember my son didn't want to leave Nurturing place every time when I pick him up. He always looks happy when I go to pick him up. And after we left place for 2 months, my son still remember "circle time" and some words which he learned from Nurturing place. Taihisha's place is not only doing things professionally but also she really put her love to the kids. My son loved her, we loved her. I miss her! I will highly recommend to any mom if you lived in upper west side and you want an affordable daycare. Nurturing place is the right place to go. read more

Taihisha Joyner and the Nurturing Place staff are extraordinary! After lengthy deliberation to switch my daughter's daycare, I'm sorry I did not do so sooner. Ms. Joyner offers a diverse and structured learning environment with a professional, loving and patient demeanor. She balances her love with calm, clear and consistent discipline. And she seeks to be consistent with how I parent my daughter at home which gives my family an experience of support and partnership in raising our daughter. I have absolutely no complaints. The fees are competitive, however there is no monetary price that would be enough for the peace of mind provided by this superior quality daycare. It's amazing how much more effective I am at work because I am confident my daughter is being taken care of so well. And, a happy mommy makes for an even happier baby! read more

We had a great experience at The Nurturing Place. Mrs Tai and Ms Renee are excellent! We were thankful to find Nurturing Place (on Yelp) after being disappointed in other daycare options on the Upper West Side. Our daughter started at 3 months old and she quickly became part of the family. In particular, we were grateful for a nice mix of ages, daily circle time, and other activities that involved all of the kids, especially as they get older. Mrs Tai was helpful in providing suggestions and working with us to provide the best food for our daughter. It was also easy to text to get updates and see pictures of our daughter on a weekly basis. Although the environment is small, it matches the intimacy and quality of care. read more

I love the Nurturing Place! It is a great daycare. Picking a provider for our child was very serious; we wanted a place where he would be safe, loved and enriched. We found that at the Nurturing Place! Ms. Tai is warm and attentive to the children, she provides the children with the much needed structure for this age range. She is constantly coming up with fun field trip and outings for the children. And most importantly - my son is happy!!! read more

My daughter recently started attending the Nurturing Place and it has been a truly great experience. Mrs. Tai and her staff are amazing. Everyone is very patient and loving and they have become like family. The Nurturing Place provides a very loving environment while also providing structure. I am so happy with all that my daughter is learning and I am fully confident that she will be beyond prepared when it is time for pre-k. In the short amount of time we have been there I have already noticed a significant amount of growth in my daughter and I couldn't be happier. read more

My son Avi had an amazing experience of attending The Nurturing Place and it incredible how much he has grown as a result of Ms.Joyners continuous love, support, and diligence for my child. When he first started, he was not able to speak properly, communicate with other children, was aggressive, etc. Ms.Joyner went out of her way to ensure Avi received his speech, special Instruction, and occupational lessons while in daycare. She coordinated with all the instructors in addition to the consistent devotion she provided to my son. I'm sure no one would have put in the effort that she has and I am forever grateful to her for everything. As a result of her work, Avi is able to speak, say all letters, numbers, etc, developed socialization skills, and is a completely different grown self sufficient child. She is a wonderful, caring, individual that provides the nurture our children need when we are not with them. I highly recommend The Nurturing Place to all parents as their best choice in having their most prized possession cared for. read more
