After touring several schools we chose Push My Swing for our 2yr old. Everyone was happy, which was not the case at some of the other schools we toured. Once we started school, we saw in earnest that the teachers were very patient and kind and the kids were all so great! The photo and video updates during the day through the app were also wonderful - we felt connected with the school and the children constantly. Access to the private playground for the kids also made us feel reassured about their general safety. Our daughter stayed here 2 years until the COVID shut down. If we have another child we will 100% enroll here again. read more

We have had the BEST experience at Push My Swing the past two years and we are EXTREMELY sad to say good bye as our daughter Mila will be moving on to Pre-k in September. We visited several daycares in the Gramercy/Kips bay area but what stood out the most with PMS was that it had a very homey feeling and all the kids looked like they were so happy yet so well behaved! We saw an instant improvement in our daughter's behavior in the first couple of months and really appreciated how welcoming, caring, and nurturing the teachers were with her as she was one of the youngest kids at the time. Sometimes Mila would cry when we picked her up because she wanted to stay with her friends and teachers! We cannot say enough amazing things about her special teacher Jenny. Jenny has been an exceptional teacher and truly loves all the children and it really shows. She goes above and beyond and kept us updated daily on areas that my daughter needed to improve on. She devoted so much time in ensuring that Mila was succeeding academically and I cannot thank her enough for all her patience. There is an app where pictures and videos were uploaded everyday so we felt like we were really in touch and not missing out on the daily fun activities. Also, there is a huge private playground in the back where the children spend a lot of time playing which is quite unique to this type of daycare. This school has become like family to us and we are so grateful that Mila was able to spend two incredible years there. I feel like she is very well prepared for her next chapter and only hope that she will have the same level of care at her next school! read more

This is the first time I have ever written a review but I just wouldn't forgive myself for not warning all those parents like me, who thought this daycare was a good place for my kid. Let's start from the very beginning. We saw Push my Swing announced on the internet and it happened to be close to where we used to work, we called and Rimonda, the person who runs this place, was very attentive and somewhat insisting that we gave the daycare a shot. We finally decided and took our little one there and, magically, everything changed: the first thing Rimonda asked was about the money, which I have to say, not only did include the tuition, but also some amount for a t-shirt and the covers for where my child was supposed to sleep on; we never received any of these, a fraud since the beginning. The place itself is unsafe since it's on the second floor and the stairs are dangerous even for an adult and they take the kids to the playground that is downstairs at least twice a day, not to say that you have to cross the pile of trash that the other residents of the building leave next to such a playground. Now, the person who take care of the kids, Emma, this person shouldn't be allowed to be around kids ever, I remember my kid coming back home with a bad diaper rash because this person didn't ever bother changing diapers all they long. Not to mention that she used to argue and yell at Rimonda (and Rimonda at her) in front of the kids and at some point started to antagonize with my wife for no reason. Emma started recording my wife with her cellphone when we picked up our kid and when I confronted her she just denied it and started acting really weird, we didn't take our child back the next day. The cherry on top was that when I called Rimonda to ask for our deposit, since we wouldn't ever take our kid to that place, she just refused to give it back to us and even made fun of my accent, imitated me and hung up the phone. I beg you, I know day cares in NYC are very expensive, but please do yourself a favor and consider other options, do not compromise your kid's welfare just to save yourself some money, it is not worth it, my wife and I learned it in the bad way and I would like to prevent other parents from the suffering and hard time this place gave us. read more

We have had a wonderful experience with Push My Swing and are very sad to be saying goodbye as pre-K will start next month. I cried my eyes out when we dropped her off the first day, but their transition plan and wonderful staff quickly made our daughter very comfortable and she was saying goodbye quickly and running off to play in no time. Lauren is an excellent teacher and our daughter is constantly surprising us with facts learned at "school" like the months in the year, facts about seasons, parts of fish, how plants grow, etc. She also tells us all about the books that Lauren reads in the morning. Jenny has been essential in improving in her interactions with other children. At pick-up, we receive a report on her behavior, if anything needs to be worked on at home or if she was just and excellent helper again. I will admit that we have used the "Should I call Jenny???" warning at home. She is constantly talking about her playmates and her teachers, so we know she truly loves them there. I feel that they also care very much for the individual children. They provide healthy snacks and meals and plenty of outside time- this week's exciting sprinkler actives has been the hot topic of the week! This school is like family. If we stay in NYC we will certainly enroll our newborn once she's old enough. read more

I hesitated writing this review, because I selfishly want to keep Push My Swing a neighborhood secret! Our daughter attended from the time she was 2 years old and is now leaving 2 years later to attend PreK. Her teachers Jenny and Lauren are kind, nurturing, and extremely knowledgeable about preschoolers. Our daughter adores going to school each day and is always bubbling with excitement to tell us what she did when she comes home. The facilities are clean, warm, and incredibly kid friendly. They also have an ENORMOUS backyard filled with lots of toys, which for the middle of Manhattan is a huge plus! We're so sad to be leaving Push My Swing but can't wait for our younger daughter to start in a few months! read more

We felt very fortunate to have Push My Swing as Liam's care provider. Push My Swing offered various educational activities, both indoors and out. They provided healthy snacks and meals that Liam enjoyed and talked about. Often times, I would pick Liam up to find drawings, paintings or small craft projects that they had made with Push My Swing's patient assistance. Liam bonded with Jenny and all the other teachers very well. All the members of Push My Swing has a wonderful rapport and personality with the ability to connect with children and to work with them with care and patience. They communicated well with us and worked with our requests when needed. Push My Swing definitely offered a caring, patient and structured childcare which we valued. We are overly pleased with the level of care Push My Swing has provided for Liam. My daughter has been attending Push My Swing for a little over a year and a half, and it has been an absolutely amazing experience. The environment is warm and nurturing, they have the best team of teachers. In a short time my lo was chatting up a storm, singing, drinking out of cups, sleeping on a bed, and using the bathroom. The program is very well organized, and disciplined. The curriculum they use is terrific, and my lo is learning all sorts of things. Another thing that I love about this school are the children that attend. The kids all seem to welcome each other and play well together (not withstanding typical toddler behaviors). They learn from each other, and I love that! Rimonda also makes a point of bringing the families together a few times a year for the holidays and various performances by the kids - it feels like a true community. I will close by saying that this is a small intimate daycare, that fosters a loving environment that is conducive to growing and learning - and it has an amazing outdoor space to boot. Thanks to the amazing teachers, our daughter was able to make a very smooth transition and we've noticed so much growth in her since starting. Our son Gabriel has been attending Push My Swing for two years now, and we enjoy having him in the care of Rimonda and her staff. The daycare is on the second floor of a Townhouse in Kips Bay, on a quiet street, and has access to a large outdoor garden where children often spend the afternoon. Inside, the children have room to do quiet play sitting down, a big area for more active play, and the rooms are filled with toys, all meticulously organized and put back in place by the little helpers. My daughter joined the school last September, we had just arrived from Greece and she didn't speak any English. I really liked the place because it has a homie feeling and I wanted her to feel comfortable. By December she was speaking English and had bonded with the teachers and the kids. The teachers are attending and the schedule is flexible to your needs but still follows a curriculum. And the best feature of all: a backyard in the middle of the city!!!! My daughter went to push my Swings for a year and it was absolutely a great experience! All the teachers and staff, especially Lauren and Jenny took great care of her and made her feel very comfortable when we just started.
