We have nothing but amazing memories from this school, and I will truly miss it now that he has aged out. All staff is hands on and they really get to know your child. When I say all staff, I mean even teachers and co-teachers from other classrooms knew my son by name and recognized his father and I as well. I could go up to any teacher or office personnel and ask them about my son and they would have a lot to say; the school feels like it's own nurturing community, with the children's wellbeing always at the forefront. I never had any doubts as to my son's safety at this school, and to go the extra mile where safety is concerned, they offer camera access to your child's classroom and the doors can only be opened by approved personnel and parents. The learning environment is both nurturing and effective. My son was able to begin reading and writing by the end of pre-k! The classroom is set up so that the children can go their own pace and the teachers monitor them and gently push them when necessary. They have what is called the "family style" classroom which allows the younger children to look up to and learn from older children, and allows the older children to feel a sense of accomplishment and responsibility as well as leadership. My son is an only child so having older children guide him when he was little and then being able to be the leader when he was in Kindergarten was so rewarding in ways that went beyond the classroom. I adore all of the staff and teachers there. For his pre-k years he was with Ms. Kenny who is no longer there but really did a great job with setting his foundation for learning. For kinder year he went to Mrs. Mohan's class, and she and her co-teachers really made sure to make the transition as smooth as possible for him. They also made sure to keep him on target for his kindergarten goals, as did Mrs. Shetty, his reading group teacher. Mrs. Castillo and Mrs. Caraballo (from the office) are always there with a friendly smile and happy to help with any questions or concerns. There are also surveys that are sent out a few times a year so that they can receive feedback to continue improving. I do surveys for businesses often and usually it takes years to see changes, if you see them at all, but each year Apple expanded their offerings and really seemed to take in the feedback with grace, acceptance, and action. Recently they added after school offerings like Karate and Zumba. As a working parent it was nice to know my child had something to look forward to in after care some days. There is also an all new outdoor classroom/playground set up. Apple was a little more costly than some of the other pre-k schools we looked at, but I feel we really got what we paid for, our son has shown so much growth and development and we know he was well taken care of there. We loved it so much, we decided to stay for Kindergarten year which was not in our original plans but we found it was worth every penny!

And it also doesn't hurt that he is also working 2-3 grade levels ahead of children his age. Thank you to Ms. Arevalo and Ms. Shah for an awesome foundation when he was so little and to Mrs. Rodriguez and her team for making it all come full circle the last two years. You all amaze me everyday! Special thank you to the directors who give nothing less then all they have to our schools.

I toured a few…read moredifferent preschools/daycares in the area and felt this one was the calmest and likely to support developing focus even in young children. It's quite small, about a dozen students currently, ranging in age from 2-6, so I feel they all get a good amount of attention. I'm always impressed by how pleasant and polite the children are when I've stopped by. The director has been very easy to communicate with. We get a monthly newsletter outlining the topics the children will be discussing for the month and she'll also occasionally text photos of my child at his work. We have a few different family members who help out with pickup and it's easy to text her to let her know. Extended care use is also flexible; we're charged just for the hours that we actually need to use. My FOMO-personality son also naps surprisingly well here when he refuses at home on the weekends at least 50% of the time. At the director's suggestion, we transitioned to the school with just mornings during a week of the summer camp at the end of the summer, then did a month of 3 mornings a week, a month of 5 mornings a week, and then a few months ago increased to full-time and extended care. Also, it's probably also that we've been lucky, but with the small size, my son has not actually brought home the continuous series of sicknesses that other parents warned me about when kids start being cared for outside the home. Knock on wood that this streak continues! I expect that their requiring everyone be up-to-date on their vaccinations and to get an annual flu vaccine probably helps as well. It's much appreciated since we also have a newborn at home. With regards to the first review from a few years ago, perhaps it wasn't in the handbook then, but it's definitely in the parent handbook now that when you enroll, you're committing to the Sept-June year and will lose 50% of your deposit if you withdraw early. I'm not sure how it worked back then in terms of the teachers; right now, the school director is also the teacher most of the days, with a second teacher on the days when more children are enrolled.

My child went in theree and they refuse to give my deposit back though giving ghtem ample notice. The principal takes it to hear t and she gave only half of the deposit back as she said that you cannot withdraw from school in mid. Way and my problem was i had no transport to come there any more. She is good till u are there .. Moment u leave she is rude to the core. Guess thats why the teachers dont stay with the school anymore. Hence no use putting in a school like this. A lot mroe options are available.

The students are so smart, kind and have larger than life personalities that will leave an imprint on a teacher heart forever. At Springdale I was allowed to develop my own curriculum which allowed my students to grow towards new academic goals. As my students thrived academically and socially my hard work did not go unseen by the parents, nor staff. However one staff member Ms. Jessica constantly would praise my efforts. Ms. Jessica ( program teacher leader) is one of the most patient, kindest understanding and inclusive leader that I have ever know. She will make you feel everyday appreciated and valued (and she respects all working mothers and the challenges that they face). Never have a worked at a job and a leader would tell me thank you everyday when I leave work. Therefore between Ms. Jessica ( leadership, and support), my co teacher Ms.M who always kept students, safe, engaged and came up with fun activities, and was her student's biggest educational cheer leader, and Ms, S always smiling, bringing use coffee and giving use food. I would say if you want to be happy , and valued going to a job every day springdale is the job for you. Or if you are a parent and want to bring your child to springdale just know they will be while cared for and educated under Ms. Jessica leadership.
