Brought in a pile of wool coats for dry cleaning last week and I immediately handed them their ValuePak coupon for $5 off a $20+ dry cleaning order. Clerk said she had already pushed the total key on her cash register and she could not incorporate the coupon. No attempt to make things right. Seems almost like an intentional ploy to not honor their own coupons! I'm going to try some of the other dry cleaners in the area, in the hopes of finding friendlier customer service.

My husband brought his brand new tuxedo in for alterations and they made several mistakes.... one pant leg is longer than the other (see pics), they shortened the sleeves and put the buttons on crooked, there were lumps and bumps at one of the armholes that they altered and said it was "because of the fabric" even though the other one was fine. They altered my sequin pants with the sewing machine instead of by hand and they look awful! Plus the quality of work is terrible (see photos). I had to undo the hem and hand stitch myself.

This is poorly informed. All cleaning uses chemicals. The way you clean, is you have to use a lipophilic agent that removes dirt and oils from clothes. There's no magical way around that. The important question is whether castile or plant-based cleaning agents are used. In which case, that is what they use at Kenilworth Cleaners. Either way, I have been getting most of my dry cleaning done at this mom and pop shop for the past 3 years and my clothes have never smelled better, been pressed better, and have been cleaner than any other dry cleaner I've used. As for the second 1 star review that says "the owner was rude because she asked me to call back later because she was already helping a customer"...umm, that sounds like the caller herself needs a 1 star review. In fact, I read through her reviews on her profile and she goes around town giving everyone 1 star reviews, always asking to speak to a manager and finding out they are "rude" as well. There's an old saying about this.... The people who work at Kenilworth are absolutely wonderful. I recommend checking it out for yourself.
