Older casino and hotel. Lots of parking and in front of your room. You can tell that they are working on painting and updating rooms. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room was not so clean. Can not close bathroom door...it hits the bathtub!! Lots of hot water. Maid knocked on door at 8 am. No refrigerator, no coffeemaker, no cups.

Needed a place to stay for the night Stayed here before and with the new refurbishment it's a good place to stay Room was clean bed was very comfortable Shower and bathtub were good Hot water good pressure Tv was working Was great for the price

The pool smell like puked for four days straight while we were here they need to fix that issue. It made me gag every day.

Covered fire alarm and a nasty tub that's nobody wants to scrub. I was able to clean with a magic eraser.

06/2025 I only liked that it was close parking. You can only keep the AC at 70 and it was still hot, I woke up sweating. Our bed sheets had spots of blood on them as if they were old bed bug sheets. We had ants in our room. The fire alarm had a bag on it. The shower was disgusting. They cannot blame that it wasn't renovated, as I was able to scrub it with a magic clean eraser (as seen in photo). We told the front desk and all they said was, "well it's not one of the ones that is renovated yet". That's no excuse to sleep with disgusting sheets, a nasty shower tub, & ants in the room. Also, the shower still had red long hair in the shower as mine is black.

    Tub drain... moldy AF

Floor wasnt clean, a bag covered the fire alarm. Rude staff when I arrived. They said they would come clean the floor and take the bag off, they never came. No coffee pot in room, u have to move the furniture to get to a plug, gross drain in the dirty tub.

I don't know why everybody is drinking all of the Haterade on this place. I had a great stay. I got a room for two nights, including a Friday night for a couple of bucks under $75 total, no resort fee, from hotelslash.com. I didn't have a room overlooking the river, but I don't care. Everybody at the hotel was friendly. I brought all of my bags into the lobby, only To find out that the hotel is a Motor Lodge type of set up off of the side of the main casino building. I could've left my bags in my vehicle. The front desk clerk smiled at me, chuckled, and said, "that's how we can tell who is a newbie. ". I like their sense of humor. The rooms are great. Yes, the places is old, but everything was spotless! It looked like my room had been recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable, the thermostat kept the room at just the right temperature, there was a desk to work on my computer, the TV had a good number of channels and a good picture. The bathroom was spotless, and there was a bathmat for the tub so you would have less of a chance of slipping. There was not a grab bar, but the bathmat was nice. I heard no noise whatsoever. I had a great stay. It is a smaller casino, they have slot machines, and they don't have table games, but, they do have electronic table games. Their restaurant, bumbleberry flats, has very good food for a decent price. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a couple of great days.p

    Made my day!

Housekeeping was outstanding -- whatever we needed, they took care of it immediately. The rooms in that tower are a little dated, but there's plenty of drawer space and a great view of the river, at least in the room we had, which was on the 17th floor along the river. The rooms offer a Keurig-style coffee maker and bottled water which is free. Water pressure in shower was decent. The only downside is there's no in-room safe. The casino floor is loaded with slots, including a lot of modern machines, plus a decent-sized table games area. There are a few restaurants and a small food court. Staff throughout the casino -- including the drink waitresses -- are constantly checking if you need something, which was a nice touch. We primarily ate at the Aquarius Café because it has amazing deals and the food is decent (reminded me of old Vegas deals) Overall eating there was a huge savings compared to the other options. Valet parking is free, which is another nice touch. And like all the casinos along the river, you've got quick access to water taxis to hop over to other casinos. Of all the casinos located on the river, the Aquarius is by far the nicest. Another note if your gambling winning here was not something we accomplished, but we had a great time

Only saw one person get a payout the entire weekend. The Mexican restaurant's line was insane, maybe should have been better prepared and open later for concert weekends. The coffee show employees were incredibly slow. Always a long line. Their process is so outdated. The good. : They have a Fatburger, the drinks were cheap, as in 2 slushy drinks with a quick pour of alcohol was $7 We opted for the kids pool as I didn't sleep at the night before I needed a nap. We tried the adult pool there was 1 million people in the pool on the deck alive band. Not what I was looking for so kid pull it was which worked out great. Happy that I had that option. They also serve those tall slushy drinks, which we got virgin one to take to the pool. I believe there was bowling in movies, but I didn't really see that portion of it and I think they have bingo. Oh, they do have a kids arcade so there's lots to do and it was pretty clean for the most part

First off I'd like to say that we've been visiting this place since late 1980s and really never had…read moreany issues but we have noticed that through the years things have changed but not in a positive way. Or stay this time started off with a long wait to check in, and we noticed that there were supervisors or some type of management staff in the back that never came out unless called, other casinos management staff would assist on getting all the incoming guest assigned their rooms. Now, when it comes to the rooms, we had requested a non-smoking room and they told us at time of check-in that there was none available so they gave us what they could which was unsatisfactory. My wife needs her CPAP to sleep at night and last time we stayed at a smoking room. The smell of smoke contaminated her medical device so bad that she had to exchange it for a new one with this in mind she asked again after checking in and inspecting room if there was any non-smoking rooms for this medical reason and they told her no, so she insisted on speaking with management and after speaking with management , they found a non-smoking room on a different floor that they could provide us. What a miracle. The day after we checked out, my wife checked her bank account and noticed that there was a short on the security deposit, and when she called to questioned it, they told her that the maid service had claimed that we had opened up a water bottle that was in the room and that each water bottle is five dollars My wife and I know better than to use any non-complementary item left in the room because we know that the charges are extremely high and when she told the management staff that we did not use any water bottle or any non-complementary item she was told that if the maid service puts it in their report, then they have to charge no matter what, it all lands on the maid service and what they write down on the report. I suggest to all in the future, if you're staying at this location, videotape and take notes of everything that is in the room and the condition that it's in because it may be a tactic that they used to get a little extra money for the hotel. We are truly going to videotape and photograph all these items. Next time we stay if we decide to return and if we do get charged, we will immediately forward these photos of a before and after of the room's items. On the positive side I would like to thank the employees at the rewards desk for all their help. They are extremely nice and helpful group of people unfortunately that's the only plus I could say about this hotel at this time.

The River Lodge shows it age, 42 years (I think). No ice machines on any level, no pool, dated decor, carpet & curtains. With this mind we weren't sure what to expect of our room but it was clean, even though the water in the bathroom sink drained slowly, bedding was very comfy and it was quiet throughout the night. Also, there might be 7 television channels available but we had a great river view. We stuck to eating at the different themed casinos within the Lodge. We went to Red Dragon and tried the pot stickers & pork char siu with rice; sadly no sauces were available & the staff seemed very frustrated not having the necessary supplies. By the way, they will not pour a drink in a paper cup for you in case you want to take it outside for some reason. Still it was cheap with a total of $10.80 for both dishes. We also tried a personal pepperoni pizza at Dotty's, which wasn't bad just not very hot/ warm. I believe that cost was $7.00. The last thing we tried was a pot roast dip sandwich at U1 that included fries & au jus. The flavor was good but the sandwich had no cheese at all; cost $7.00. U1 has great affordable food, slots, staff & atmosphere. I would recommend the Lodge to anyone traveling; it's unique, comfy & affordable with no resort fees

First off, the check in was a a nightmare. Denise was incredibly unprofessional and rude. For someone who works in customer service you'd think she would know how to do her job. She was so condescending and just had to make sure that we felt stupid when we asked questions. There was a mistake made when booking the room and she was so against helping us or doing anything to fix it, and when her coworker stepped in she fixed it in less than 5 minutes. ridiculous. Thank god another employee took over because her attitude was disgusting. Second, the sheets were dirty when we got into our rooms. There were questionable brown marks on them and even lipstick smudges. Also my family literally had to move rooms mid stay because there were BED BUGS!!!!! yikes. It was our only option for our trip but we definitely would never go back.

Some employees were very friendly and helpful, while others weren't welcoming at all. Unfortunately, the rooms were terrible and clearly lacked proper cleaning. The room immediately gave me the heebie-jeebies. There were strands of hair all over the bathroom, the vents were caked with dust, the carpets were filthy, and the walls looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. There was also a strong odor in the room that management appeared to be trying to cover up with an overpowering deodorizer, but it only made the room more unpleasant. The sinks and toilets were dirty, the refrigerator barely stayed cold, and the air conditioner never cooled the room enough to be comfortable. The pool was dirty, overcrowded, and not enjoyable. The drinks were also extremely overpriced--$17 for a drink that definitely wasn't worth the cost. The casino was another disappointment. The amount of cigarette smoke combined with poor ventilation was overwhelming and gave me a headache. One experience that really concerned me involved my 10-year-old nephew. He hurt himself while we were at the pool, and when we asked a staff member for an alcohol pad, we were told they didn't have any. I couldn't understand how a hotel with a pool wouldn't have basic first-aid supplies readily available. After my brother found another employee, we were finally given two alcohol pads, but it shouldn't have taken that much effort. If it had just been my husband and me, we would have packed up and driven the four hours back home or found another hotel. Since we were traveling with our children, we decided to make the best of it. I ended up wiping down the room and bathroom with bleach wipes myself and told the kids to keep their shoes on the entire time because I didn't feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the room. One final thing that made our stay uncomfortable was the number of stares we received for being Black. I can't say what anyone was thinking, but we had several moments that made us feel unwelcome. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment and nowhere near worth the price. Between the lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, poor first-aid preparedness, uncomfortable atmosphere, and overall experience, I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
