Here at Katy's was pleasant, painfree, cheap with good results! It's the first time I'd been to a nail salon like Katy's - minimal talking, sit and wait for a free technician, speedy but efficient service - so I didn't quite know the deal. There were a few awkward moments where I had to be told where to go, when to wait, what to do. But everyone was great at their job, and I was very happy with my £30 pedicure and manicure which has lasted me a full week without issues. Just make sure you go with cash! I had to run out mid way after spotting their "Cash Only" sign on the wall. Luckily there's a cash point a few doors down.

Filed a lot shorter than I wanted, didn't paint close to the cuticle and paint lines were sloppy. It looks like I got them done almost a week ago and already growing out, disappointing. I usually do my own nails so I know I'm more particular but I'm on vacation and needed a quick fix. It wasn't the worst but I'd go somewhere else if I could chose again.

I had felt that they had been rough when cleaning my cuticles but hadn't realized how rough it was until my fingers were drying under the heater and the whole side of my thumb was oozing blood. I know that mistakes happen from time to time so I told my technician that I was bleeding and I asked for antiseptic. He took a look and told me I was fine. I repeated myself in case he didn't understand and he continued to shake his head and say it was fine. I was absolutely appalled. I already paid so I slipped on my shoes and went straight to boots to pick up antiseptic. I really hope I don't get an infection but what really frustrates me is being gaslighted as if I am the problem. I will never return but still feel this isn't enough. I would like the owner to contact me if he or she is reading this review, and am seriously considering contacting the health department.

After a bit of a mess-up with timings (the receptionist seemed fairly bored and disorganised) we finally sat down to get our manicures. The salon was a bit hot and stuffy and they really needed some ventilation as my head was spinning from the fumes but apparently they were about to refurbish so we can let them off :) My sister ended up waiting for 20 mins while mine started straight away but luckily as I was getting Minx nails and she was getting a French we still finished at the same time. The therapist who did my nails was really lovely though and my nails looked amazing which made up for it all.
