I went in asking for a nail soak off and then the dip service. I was told it would be 2 hours for the soak off and the dip service, but that she personally could do a fill. I went ahead and agreed with the full so I went and sat at her station and she started my nails and said "wow a lot of them are so lifted" hence why I wanted them all removed. She had to remove quite a few and do a new tip. During the beginning of the service she was on the phone with someone and she said "I'm stuck with a client, I'll be there at 1." And it was about 12:45. I felt like I was an inconvenience and then she continued to rush and do the service really sloppy.

Nails done by Tony

There's no other nail salon like this in El Paso. There are places that come close, but there's nothing on this level. Best experience I've had in any nail salon and I honestly think I have a new nail salon. I check Yelp for everything and as far as nail salons go, I try to stick with salons that have multiple 4 and 5 star reviews, great pictures, and reasonable prices (any more than $$ doesn't make sense to me). The Nails Bar only had two reviews, but some nice pictures of the inside of the salon. I could tell it had just opened, but I was enticed. We walked in and were welcomed warmly by a few working that day. I grabbed one of their menus and took a seat on their plush couch. It's a really open space which is nice because there's nothing worse than feeling cramped when you're getting your nails done. A couple of seconds later a young lady came over and answered all the questions we had. She asked if we wanted anything to drink. Every nail salon that I've been to that offers drinks usually has water, soda, and usually a white and red wine. We both just requested a water. My boyfriend was getting a pedi to keep his feet in tip-top shape. The chair was ready pretty quickly and I even saw that they helped him find the perfect setting for the back massage. I was led to a different chair to get my nails done. My nail tech was Tony and he was pretty great. We talked some, but he stayed focused the entire time. He expertly removed my black nail polish (really it was more of a dye and I've seen lesser nail techs leave a lot of remnants of this same polish on my nails). I got a simple pink & white set. My nails are lined perfectly and finally someone who understands when I say I want them as short as possible that means I want them as short as possible. The process was completely painless and he event went as far as cleaning up my cuticles. As we were both being worked on I saw another woman be brought a Pina Colada. A freaking Pina Colada. Turns out they have a full bar and I mean a full bar. It's situated at the end of the salon, but they'll make you just about anything and it's all complimentary. This really set this salon apart from any other I've ever been to in EP. We decided to also get a glass of Moscato. I didn't even ask what Moscato it was because after I saw the huge bar that could easily be found in a classy bar, I trusted whatever they were going to serve me. The Moscato was perfect for the atmosphere and I'd totally buy this wine for at home. Next time I'm definitely trying out some of their mixed drinks. One other thing I noticed. There were a couple of people getting their nails done while we were here and a few getting pedis with polish. There was no noticeable nail salon smell. Even though all the usual chemical suspects were present, I didn't smell anything. Not even when chemicals were right in front of me. This may have something to do with the space, the ceiling and perhaps they have the perfect settings on their air conditioning system. Either way, I like that. I 100% recommend this salon. You will enjoy your experience and they definitely know what they're doing here.

This place is terrible. The owner is very very rude -- both to her employees and customers. I had a gift card (given to me by my friend) for $20 (I'll post a picture below) the owner said she would not accept it because it was not signed. She then walked away and ignored me. I said I was not paying the full price and stood my ground -- it is not my fault that they sold the gift card to the person who gave it to me and did not sign it. She said I could have gone and made a photo copy of it even though it was in the original and very specific envelope after arguing with her she said "fine - pay $20 (my bill was $40) but this is bullshit and don't ever come back" she was SO rude and absolutely should have honored my GC despite the fact that her employee forgot to sign it. Also, I had to get a nail replaced because it was broken. The rest I just did a fill. (The thickness just does not look good or seem natural at all) She didn't have to tell me to not come back -- I certainly never will be returning

Okay... I don't love this place. I've been getting dip nails since 2016.. I'm picky. I will say though, the service was fast, the woman I got was very sweet, & happy to be working again. She wiped everything down before and we both had our masks on. I needed tips, paid 45$, & the color is 345 (Sweet Girl) Overall, if I was in a pinch I would come here again.

The Nails Bar is clearly popular, as every time I've been in, it is packed! They are very prompt in greeting people as they walk in and wait time for service is typically very prompt. I came initially, based on other reviews and while it took a few tries to get the experience I was looking for, I'm very happy I found this location. My favorite nail tech is Tony, he is meticulous and takes extra care to get my nails right. In my visits I have also noticed that management is making changes to ensure good service and improve customer satisfaction. Fills with gel polish (no design) run about $35, basic pedicures are $25. I have visited on three separate occasions: My first visit was a fill with gel polish which I was very happy with. I was offered a complimentary drink and seated immediately. I did have an initial shuffle between nail techs but all was good once started. My second visit was a pedicure and fill. It was very busy on this visit and the hostesses (same as previous visit) seemed very disorganized, having difficulty assigning nail techs and service was a bit slow. The nail techs were visibly annoyed and rushed during this visit. My pedicure was outstanding, however my fill was too thin (I split a nail within a few days) and my standard polish was patchy and chipped instantly. I had two different techs for my services. My third visit was a complete turnaround. The previous hostesses were gone, replaced by a pleasant, but no-BS lady who appears to be an owner. I was seated immediately for a pedicure and my fill was performed by the same tech. Tony was excellent and completed my fill and pedicure to perfection. He asked me questions about my nails and gave me a little extra thickness and removed failed acrylic to make sure my manicure would last. The hostess also came by frequently to ensure satisfaction and to offer complimentary drinks. My mother's pedicure and manicure were also beautiful and her tech was excellent (I did not get his name, but he is a regular and did my pedicure previously - very pleasant). Overall, I definitely recommend Tony for nails and Tony and the other male tech for pedicure services. I'm very pleased with the service improvements and I absolutely intend to come back. Looking around the room on my last visit, I saw beautiful work and happy clients. Please keep up the great work The Nails Bar!

I asked for a sunflower design, which he could not do. So I asked him to remove it and he suggested these stickers. He didn't remove all of the polish from the sunflower design and when I told him that all he said was "no". Disappointed all around. Won't ever go again

I used to come here every so often. Never again. Destroyed my cuticles and bled the entire time. I asked them to clean the utensils before continuing. They did not. The only apology I received for cutting my nails repeatedly was oh sorry I'm a bad boy. They didn't even clean the utensils afterwards. I hope I don't get an infection. It was gross and I will never be coming back

A few of their MANY colors

Walked in and was greeted with a smile by the owner who gladly introduced me to Mimi, the nicest nail tech I've ever had the pleasure of meeting in an EP Salon. I love being able to talk to the person I'm in front of for an hour. A few minutes in, I spot DND gel colors and picked one of my favorite nudes, Mulberry. If you're a nude nails kind of girl, you'll be in heaven with DND. They have so many different colors. Then I find out you get complimentary drinks! I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best pina coladas I've had. Sad that not even an actual bar makes it this delicious. Thank you Half Sun for being such a good bartender. They also have mimosas, wine, margaritas and of course, water. *make sure you have your id* I paid $20 for a gel color change, with no charge to remove the gel I had on, which surprised me. Most salons I've been charge $5 for this. I honestly walked in with the worst expectations because I've had too many bad experiences at salons here but I walked out so excited and relieved. Thank you for proving me wrong Mimi. Highly recommend this place.

Love the color~ got them done just 30 mins ago. Definitely coming back in 2 weeks ^^b

Ask the Community - The Nails Bar

I'm looking for dip nails. One brand is SNS dip powder. Anyone know where I can get them done in El Paso? Preferably on the East side.

Try Heaven Nails on George Dieter. I've gone there before and they're decent.

The positives: First, I easily made an appt with only 24…read morehours notice. Second, the price, $125, was lower than what I usually pay for my old polish to be removed, a manicure and premium pedicure, and reapplying my polish. Third, the salon was decorated nicely, didn't smell strongly of chemicals, and the temperature was acceptable. It was clean, but not unlike most nail salons, the dust is thick on surfaces and it could benefit from a deep cleaning. The negatives: I will preface this by saying I may be spoiled by my nail salon on the east side of El Paso who performs my manicure and pedicure one at the time, not simultaneously, and assigns one person to each task, not multiple people who take turns completing various steps for the manicure. I thought this was normal procedure for a mani and pedi, but this is not what I experienced at Nail Studio despite me having an appointment for both services. My pedicure would have been relaxing and enjoyable except for the multiple people performing various steps in my manicure at the same time as my pedicure that kept interrupting my relaxation to perform their tasks. While I was sitting in the pedicure chair trying to enjoy my pedicure, three different techs worked on my manicure. Making my pedicure and manicure experience even less enjoyable, instead of standing on my left side to work on my left hand and on my right side for my right hand, they asked me to contort my left arm across my body so they could reach my left hand from my right side. Having to contort my left arm across my body so the manicurist standing on my right side can perform the services is not only not relaxing, but painful. If they must perform the mani while the client is sitting in the pedi chair, my suggestion for ensuring the client's comfort is to stand on the same side of the chair as the hand they are working on. Not ironically, the manicurist even commented that I needed to relax my hand while he worked on my nails. Really? Relaxing wasn't possible. As a service provider, you need to read the client. If your client is tense while you perform their manicure, ask what you may be doing to make them tense. Just to give you an idea what my experience was like, imagine you are a professional race car who stops in the pit mid race for a tire change. 5 or 6 mechanics race to change your tires, oil, and replenish your gas so they can get you back on the track in 1 minute. That's what I felt like. Rushed. Just a body sitting there being worked on as quickly as possible. I will not get another manicure and pedicure here u less they perform them non simultaneously.

Loved it, care i knew I needed. Not, sure if to actually book for next time or just walk in but…read morethey were super nice.

We arrived within 10 minutes of our appointment and were actually the first people in the shop, so we expected our services to run smoothly. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I paid for a Tier 3 pedicure that included callus removal and a hot stone treatment, yet my feet look almost exactly the same as when I walked in. When you pay for a service, you expect that service to actually be performed, and that simply didn't happen. The bigger issue was the overall organization of the salon. Despite having scheduled appointments, the staff allowed both walk-ins and appointments to fill the pedicure chairs without prioritizing the people who had booked ahead. By the time our nail services were finished, every pedicure chair was already taken. Two of us ultimately had to cancel the pedicures we had planned because we were told we would have to wait even longer--despite being the first appointment of the day. To make matters worse, staff members repeatedly stopped in the middle of our services to grab equipment or start other clients' services that they clearly didn't have the staff available to complete right away. When we left, several people were sitting in pedicure chairs with their feet in cold water waiting for someone to begin. This experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. Appointments should mean something, and customers who plan ahead should not be pushed aside for walk-ins. I hope the salon improves its scheduling, staffing, and service quality because today's experience was very frustrating.
