If I could give this place zero stars I would. I just moved to El Paso and was looking for a nail salon saw this one thought the ambience seems nice. Checked it out my appointment was at 1:30.. I got out till almost 4pm got charged $150 for nails that didn't even have the regular nail and glue that is applied at first. This man who's name goes by Bryan Khanh he himself Charges $145 and then basically $25 for nails.. he made my nails applying this sticker and building the nail shape from there I asked him I wanted 1/5 of the nail he said he couldn't and then acted bothered I didn't want it to size 2.. I have never had anyone put stickers on my nails to make the nail it is so clumpy thick already broke on me not even one day having them. Nothing to what I asked for in the pic reference and he calls himself master creative this place is a scam. The girl next to me got done sooner while I was stuck there for 2 plus hours. I called to ask why was I charged $150 he said my email receipt had the charges where no where in my email receipt does it state why but now I see why. He just took my card charged gave it to me and walked away. Never have I been to a salon this expensive with nails that already broke that aren't fully painted on the sides. Worst place ever. The receipt doesn't show NO PROOF of services fucking scammer should just put I want $140 for myself and the nails itself just the remaining $15 for services. Such a "creative" but uses stickers to make a nail while the others do services just like any salon. I've walked into a few other local establishments and immediately walked out based on cleanliness but Cure is super cute and CLEAN! Everyone was friendly and seemed happy to be there. They do encourage making an appointment so keep that in mind. Mo was my nail tech and I enjoyed our conversation and he did a great job on both my mani and pedi. It can be a little bit hard to find because their sign is hidden by a big (but beautiful) tree but if you can find Sunny's Sushi it's right next door. Front Desk 2/5 Checking in requires both a phone number and email. The account created in the phone call I made should have my email linked to my phone number ( just a thought). It was my first time at this salon, so an introduction to the ley of the land would have been appreciated. "Please have a seat, your nail technician will be with you shortly. They will bring you a tray of sample nail colors when you are seated." Nail Technician 5/5 Mo had immense attention to detail. He had a gentle touch and engaged into conversation when I engaged him into conversation. He was extremely polite while he kept on task. I will have another appointment with him. Cleanliness/Decor of Salon 5/5 Massage Chair had the foot spa with the disposable liners. The tools used for mani/pedi did come from what appeared to be a hermetically sealed package. Not the "cure" for the two of us. I sat with my feet in "cooling" water for 20 minutes before my technician showed up. We had appointments for 2 of us therefore my DIL was done way before me. Shortest pedicure message on record/ scrub didn't dry before hot towels were put on. Cut on my cuticle- a couple of rough nails ------ technician never came back to remove cotton from between my toes/ another technician came and put the drying oil on and took the cotton off. The staff is incredibly friendly! They also have a wax room making this a "one-stop-shop." The new client offer is unbeatable too ($50 for a gel mani, eyebrow or chin wax and a gel pedicure.) I'm giving Cure 4-stars instead of 5 because of the way my gel mani was done. I've posted pictures one week to the day after my service. I always opt for a more natural look but this time around, there are tons of little specs (almost like air pockets??). The nails are also lifting along the sides. Absolutely my favorite. Cure is an absolute wonder when it comes to nail (and waxing) services in El Paso both in look and price! I first thought this was a franchise (it is not!) because it is so well organized and the look is amazing. I came in for my first service which was a pedicure. My technician, Viridiana, showed me around the salon told me about their services, offered me something to drink and was VERY knowledgeable about the salon in general. The place has an amazing vibe and you feel like you're pampered right from the start. The way they do pedicures with masks and scrubs makes you feel like you're on cloud 9, honestly! They have a cool "Club" and if you join you have amazing benefits, 1 manicure and 1 pedicure (or a combination) for $75 a month plus you get a wax in the first month, I think, then 10% off services beyond those two. The cool thing is you can book online and just seamlessly come in and your technician is ready to greet you at the door. Lastly, and I think very importantly, the prices are very competitive! Something Viridiana mentioned hit the nail on the head, clean doesn't have to mean expensive, and she's absolutely right. The cost of just getting dip at any typical salon is $35 or more, here the price for a basic manicure that includes dip is $35! Overall, I think El Paso needed this! The technician took off all the cuticle surrounding my nail, so everything washed in underneath them. They hurt for 2 weeks. When I went back, I had fungus under all my nails, a first for me. She tried to say it was my fault?? As they grew out, no fungus in the new growth. She told me to go to the doctor and get medication. That medication is very dangerous and was not needed. Dumb me, I went back for a pedi and the same thing happened with the same girl. I went there because it was so close to my house. After that, I went back to the tech who had done them for years. Let's talk about Cure: I have been getting my nails done on and off for about a decade now and Cure has by far offered me the BEST experience thus far. Everything from the pastel color scheme, to the ultra rad 80s playlist, to the wonderfully polite and expert staff, to their fabulous and friendly products; I cannot say enough about how I am just in love with everything Cure! the decor at this place is absolutely adorable, the staff is really nice and everything is super clean but the work done wasn't exactly up to par... the gel polish i had on from a pedicure i received at cure peeled off really quick which is odd because usually my only issue is getting gel polish off. i went back for a set but it was so painful because my cuticles were cut too much. i bled on quite a few fingers. This was my third time trying this salon. I thought they were expensive but had been happy with the service until my last visit. However, the dip powder I had done started to crack in just a few days. The polish popped off of two of the nails completely. When I called, I was told they would replace the two that came off, but wouldn't do anything for the others (that were obviously about to come off) unless I paid for another complete service.
