We loved our stay here so much that we adjusted our return itinerary so we could have an extra afternoon-night-morning at the Mulberry Inn. From the creative and thoughtful touches that Peggy (owner/manager) has put into each element of each space in this 1800's home, to the neighborhood, and the delicious breakfast, this is definitely a "must stay" spot for us if we ever return to the St. George area! Truly exceptional and caring staff who run this place beautifully. And the spaces are great for relaxing after a day of travel, hiking or anything - with lovely porches throughout the lot that this home sits on. Each room is lovingly decorated in a storybook theme, with rooms like Alice (for Alice in Wonderland theme), Josephine (for Little Women) and Sherlock (for Sherlock Holmes). The Mulberry is a magical break from reality with great food comfortable beds and unique vintage decor. However what truly makes this place magical is the caring staff. I mentioned that I was a hot sleeper in conversation at breakfast. A fan appeared by my bedside! Another guest mentioned they had to leave before breakfast, they offered to put a smoothie or overnight oats in the fridge for them. Easy check in. Josephine Room was neat, clean, tidy and bed very comfortable. Second floor stairs steep.. After the long drive from Los Angeles and super long 3 hours traffic detours, sleep was a welcomed friend. Woke up rested and ready to explore St George. Breakfast was prepared by Peggy. Peggy's friendliness added to the glass of orange juice, French toast topped with assorted berries and whipped cream topping . The history and ambience made our stay pleasant. At treat was a chance to visit Brigham Young's Winter house across the street from Mulberry Inn. We had Dinner at George's Corner restaurant a variety of food choices (highly recommend). I would give this place ten stars if I could. Our group of six stayed two nights and loved it! The owner, Peggy, is an amazing host and an absolute delight to talk with. We would come back just to visit with her! We stayed across the street in the Whitehead Home that was built in 1881. The architecture of the house continuously piqued our interest. Our rooms were clean and super comfortable. It was easy to feel right at home...and we did. Breakfasts were always delicious and filling. They were the perfect way to fuel up for the many sights and adventures in the St George area. We'll be back and we'll definitely stay with Peggy at the Mulberry Inn! read more

My husband and I spent the night here and it was a fantastic place to stay. All of the history and collected antiques were so fun to see. Beautiful clean rooms and comfy beds. The breakfast choices were great and ready to eat as soon as you arrived because you filled out menu choices the night before and time choice of 8am or 9am. I am planning to stay here again. My daughter and I stayed in the Fogg Suite at the Mulberry Inn. It was a great experience. The Mulberry Inn is immaculate and all the rooms have different names. The most unique thing in the Fogg Suite was the Model T Ford car which was a bathtub with a jacuzzi. We had our own patio which was nice. Our host, Shasta, was terrific. Shasta cooked us a wonderful breakfast in the morning and suggested different places to visit while we were in St. George. If you are planning on being in St. George, Utah make sure to make your reservation at the Mulberry Inn. read more

We had a wonderful stay! Our host Peggy was incredibly pleasant and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The space was cozy and had a homey vibe, which made us feel right at ease. Our experience at the Mulberry Inn was FANTASTIC! Peggy (possibly the friendliest and most charming person on the planet) greeted us at check in, gave us a tour of the historic home, and pointed out some really cool details. Peggy also explained how ordering breakfast worked and how to not be outsmarted by the lock on the front door. Breakfast was SO GOOD! Both my husband and I enjoyed both meals we got to try while we were there. The omelettes and oatmeal were perfect, as was Peggy's delightful presence as she delivered our breakfast and refilled our juices. Our room was impeccable when we arrived, had plush carpets, super comfortable mattresses and pillows, plenty of outlets and lighting options, and a smart TV. The hand soap by the sink and the body wash and shampoo/conditioner in the shower were so nice: gender-neutral scents and good quality. Nice fluffy towels too! I honestly can't recommend The Mulberry Inn enough. It was the best night's sleep I've ever had at a hotel/b&b. The house and neighborhood are so quiet. For the same price as a basic boring hotel room, we stayed in a beautiful vintage home with more quality and meaningful accommodations than any hotel from the delicious breakfast, to the ample FREE parking, to the comfy beds and clean room, to the giant shower in our room! My only complaint is that we didn't book another night during our stay! Although we have family in the area to stay with, we'll be sure to always book a night or two with Peggy when we're in town. Don't hesitate; just book the room already! You won't be disappointed. read more

We LOVED staying here. Home is in excellent condition and the staff are so welcoming. Beds are comfy and food was great. Super clean! It's walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. They even have bikes you can use to ride around in. There are two rooms on the bottom floor which I suggest for older people or people with knee problems like my mother. Fog room was very spacious and has an awesome Ford Model-T bathtub. I can't wait to go back and visit again. Highly recommend. read more

We absolutely loved this beautiful home! We stayed in the attic room which is the Sherlock room. It was so quaint and unique. I'm not always a fan of bed and breakfasts so I was amazingly surprised how much I enjoyed staying here. We only stayed one night and we wished we would have been able to stay longer. We were able to see one of the other rooms, the Fog room, and it was even more fun! The bathtub was an old car! The surroundings you can't beat, and Peggy was so fabulous. We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful inn both going to Park City and coming home but there was one thing that might change our mind about staying there next year on our trip to Park City. Our friends were going to stay with us on our way home but decided to stay at the Marriott down the street. The internet was horrible. We like to keep up with the news and that was not possible. Before I book next year I'll be checking if this problem has changed. BTW we stayed at the 7 wife's inn many times before with friends and recommended the inn to so many people in our community. On the positive side everything else was good. We enjoyed Jessica she is so sweet and did everything she could to make our stay perfect. The homemade breakfast was so delicious. I'm going to give this a review on the booking sites so other people can decide if having internet is going to make a difference in their stay. I know it would have made a difference in our stay. Owner Peggy was there often along with her staff that kept the place clean and quaint with wonderful service, and they all are more than willing to share the stories about the historic building and all have a passion for preserving the past. For the record; if you're someone who requires absolute luxury and the best in high-tech amenities at a some world class hotel - no this is not for you. Our stay at the Mulberry Inn was wonderful! The entire building is like a museum from the era during which the home was first occupied. There are antique toys, tea sets, photos, and more. It really brings you back to an earlier era. The staff was so kind and gave us a good recommendation for a hike in the area. She also made a delicious breakfast. Each of the 7 bedrooms is named and decorated according to a different literary character. We stayed in the Becky Thatcher room. There were also rooms for Sherlock Holmes, Anne of Green Gables, Josephine from Little Women, and more. Overall, it was a relaxing, comfortable, and educational stay. We highly recommend this B&B for anyone who wants to get into the spirit of St. George when it was founded. Also, it's right across the street from Brigham Young's winter home, which is its own historic site. We toured the Brigham Young home as well and, while significant, I thought that the Mulberry Inn was just as relevant of a historic record. read more

This place is an oasis in an already beautiful city. Peggy is a thoughtful and welcoming hostess. Every little corner or table or item at the food stations has been thought through and curated down to the smallest detail. All needs were anticipated; every spoon, dish, chair, lamp, etc. has been staged and labeled in such a way that a guest would want for nothing. Everything is clearly marked, and the owner's spirit has filled the house with a true sense of pride. You can tell she and her husband love this house and fully enjoy hosting people. We would love to mention the beautiful home-cooked breakfasts each morning which were served in ceramic/porcelain/glassware worthy of Downton Abbey. We were allowed to tour the unoccupied rooms and were welcome to use the porches and Adirondack chairs on the lawn as if we lived there ourselves. We felt like we were in her personal home, and her graciousness continued into the evenings when she departed for the night. The house came alive when the sun set; evening lights were activated, and the house was filled with the warm glow that made every room magical and timeless. Each corner of that home has been attended to; we saw no signs of neglect, disrepair or uncleanliness; this home feels loved, and is a visual feast as there are so many gorgeous items on display. My wife and I just returned home from a week-long trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and Zion. We finished our journey with two nights at this beautifully maintained and thoughtfully furnished historic home in the center of the historic district of St George, Utah. We loved it. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the furnishings all thoughtfully hearken to earlier and simpler times, which made it refreshing just to be in that space. The treelined streets just out the door are beautiful, particularly in the autumn, and the inn is very close to fine restaurants and the old downtown. We talked a lot with the owner, Peggy, who was very generous with her time and really educated us about life in this part of the world. We hope to return before too long. read more

The Inn is beautiful, clean and the staff is very happy & friendly.  The suite was spacious, and the private outdoor space was good.  We appreciated the communal fridge, the all-day coffee and water. The negative: breakfast. One morning, my egg had welded itself to the rest of breakfast and the egg was hard-boiled, not sunny side up. It tasted like it was cooked earlier and heated. A lovely, historic gem. The inn is located blocks away from downtown and local restaurants. It is just across the street from Brigham Young's winter home. Peggy was a wonderful and accommodating hostess who gave us a tour and brief history of the house. We stayed in the Alice room which was very cute and comfortable. My only complaint about the room was that it did have a bit of a musty smell, probably due to it being an older house. Breakfast was ok, a bit too cold for my liking (delivered from a local restaurant). Major updates are being done to the house which will make it even nicer, don't let the renovations keep you away! read more
