We had a ladies night out and did Burlesque dancing with chairs. Angela was our instructor and she was absolutely incredible! Out of 10 of us, only 1 had/has dance experience and yet she made us all feel so comfortable! She was a great teacher and we all had so much fun. We definitely plan on doing another dance lesson with her again! It was in an old Junior High building that looks questionable on the outside but the inside is incredible! Redone and lots of other little businesses in there with an event venue as well. But our class was right by the front entrance. Easy to find! read more

I was in Park City on a vacation with some girlfriends and went to find a pole class to introduce mi hombres to my newest passion. My friend and I signed up for the Pole 1 Technique class with Justin. First, the space is absolutely gorgeous. Its in what looks like a converted school building and the large draped windows and hardwood floor made me feel like I'd walked onto the set of Fame. Super cool! Justin was warm and encouraging and did a great job communicating the fundamentals. I was super impressed by how he explained body movement and hand placement etc so clearly. It was my friends first pole class ever and she was able to learn the pirouette, the dip spin AND the mermaid spin in the first class! Justin was able to give me more challenging modifications and did a really wonderful job of working with everyone in the class at the level they were comfortable. I had such a a fun time and good workout, I wanted to book a class the very next day, but my schedule didn't allow it. Thanks Moxy Movement, we left our vacation with some lovely memories and new skills on the pole. Def recommend!!! read more

The first time I took a class from this studio, I was so confused as to where the class was being held because the sign is not too big and the building is unmarked. Moxy Movement is held in, what I believe, is an old school building. It is a big tan/brown square-like building right next to the four-way stop. There is available parking in the front and on the side of the building. So, do not fret! It exists, it just is not very noticeable. I think the only way inside the building is through the main staircase at the front of the building. Once you walk in, there is a Moxy studio available to the left that has more of the dance and spin classes. If you're looking for the pole studio, it is just one more flight of stairs up, and that Moxy studio is to your left as well. My most favorite part about Moxy Movement is the instructor. Let me tell you, I have gone to all different pole studios looking for a main studio and this studio is my all time favorite and I think it is because of the instructor, Angela! She is a very knowledgeable pole instructor that knows how to teach a class. She makes sure to focus on each and every person for every move that she teaches and critiques and gives tips on how to make the move easier or less painful for you. She is literally the nicest and cutest person. The one thing I absolutely dislike about this studio is that it is so far away from me! It makes me sad. The commute to the studio can range from 30 - 45 minutes because of traffic and the time my class is usually at. I ended up coming in late for most of my classes and I feel so bad about that, she was still nice and polite to me, so I thank her for tolerating my annoying behavior. Overall, I would love to make this my main pole studio if I did not live so far away from this place. I think this is the best pole place in Utah and it is because of the instructor! read more

Oh my goodness. If you consider yourself someone who's fairly healthy, active and strong, get ready to be humbled. I have been looking for a place to get into pole fitness, and The Moxy Movement was an amazing place to start! One of their intro to pole classes is first thing Saturday morning (okay "first" being 9am). I didn't really know what to expect in a beginners class, but I did know these few things going in: 1. I was going to suck. Regardless of my very active schedule (averaging ~2 hours of exercise a day) I knew this was going to be a type of fitness very new to myself and my body. 2. It was slightly out of my comfort zone. I've always wanted to do pole fitness, but it's a definite different sport than you're going to do in a gym or studio. I also went by myself, which tends to put anyone out of their comfort zone 3. I was to wear short shorts, and use no lotion beforehand. Done. Their Saturday classes are 70 minutes long... and SO much fun. The pole studio is on the second floor (205) in an old high school classroom. There are 7-8 poles in the room. I was a few minutes late, but immediately welcomed by the teacher Angela. We started the class warming up and stretching, and then immediately went into headstands against the pole. (Which were SO much fun. I haven't done a hand/head stand for years, and I went out of my comfort zone to make it happen!) From there, we practiced different types of pole techniques and movements - mainly spins, sits, climbs. It was such a fun class, and challenging, as well. I really loved this class, and the studio. I can feel that this type of exercise is going to be good for me, because it's definitely working muscles in a different way (and I actually FEEL the workout afterwards - which is somewhat unusual for me), and is almost completely strength oriented. Those good at pole, make it look so easy. Don't be fooled, my friends. At the end of class, I immediately purchased the new student deal of 5 classes for $25. I cannot wait to return, to improve my pole practice, and to get stronger. The Moxy Movement made my first class into Pole an amazingly positive experience. And, per my original thoughts - I did suck... but had SO much fun sucking. I am thrilled to work on improvement- because there's a lot to improve on! For those of you who are hesitant about trying a pole class - get out of your comfort zone and do it! Grab a friend if that makes it easier for you (I definitely went solo), and learn how to work on a pole to increase your strength and fitness! 100% worth it - and you'll feel fabulous after you left the constraints of your zone! read more

I've really formed a connection with Moxy Movement. I mainly attend the pole classes, but have indulged in the other classes they offer - there is a huge variety! Staff could be more inviting and friendly Could have better description of classes(ie stretch class could stay what they are working on that week; back, splits, side splits) Squeaky floors Number of signed up for class size should be listed on website Moxy Movements has plenty to offer. The studio offers a good selection of classes. The teachers are really good and I learned a lot, and enjoyed my time during classes. I did the Moxxy class and it was so full! Half of my time was spent watching someone else. That would be fine if I was with a group of friends, but that isn't the case and it is kind of uncomfortable. They don't show on their schedule how many people are signed up, so you don't know how full until you get there. Many of the classes don't show how many people, and it would be nice just to know your not the only one going. The issue I have is I tried on several occasions to contact them through email to request more information and other things, and they didn't respond. They never responded to any of my emails. This was very frustrating to me. Out of four emails, I got no response from anyone. That is not professional. They could do so much better. UPDATE: Moxy did finally contact me through text. I would give a five star, but I really feel like a business should respond to an email or text with in 48 hours. read more
