Doors to stage/concert venue
Van D.

This is a small quaint lounge with a small bar offering beers, wines and various cocktails. The bar service was spot on and the bartender friendly and knowledgeable. The decor and lounge area is inviting and intimate. There was food - small bites - available near the entrance. The concert venue is small and if you don't get there early you are smashed in. Got me a little claustrophobic but I was able to hang outside the doors and still listen but not see the musician. The doors and windows are frosted so you can't see in. I would have liked to see that opened up not only for safety, air circulation but we paid to see the artist. It would have been a better experience if it were opened up. It was an easy walk from China Town and a short uber ride back to dtla.

Been here a few times to catch artists I enjoy, recently came for ANNIKA WELLS who is a very talented singer. If you're lucky you can find parking in the area for free if you arrive early. Smaller intimate venue for shows.

Cute venue for smaller artists! There's a parking lot next to it so you don't have to worry about getting a spot. Staff is really nice! At the bar they do have a set of cocktails but they can make literally anything (within reason)

Had a great experience at Gimme Gimme Disco night last weekend with my friends. DJ had great energy, and seemed to really enjoying what she does. The pace was packed, and everyone was having a great time.

Love this venue, been coming here for years.

Love this venue! Have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I love how intimate it is, and the bartenders are always quick to assist.

Would've never known this existed in little Tokyo. I am in this area often, near the Tokyo plaza. This is a slightly spacious dive bar with a concert venue. There's a third party kitchen at the entrance. Mostly Caribbean and Mexican American dishes. I tried to get the oxtail tacos but kitchen staff were missing ingredients. Opted for decent rosta fries, not spectacular. There's non alcoholic drink options and semi open bar. Restrooms are adjacent bar. Electronic pay most forms accepted. The concert hall is decent and can fit a crowd. The surprise for me is the a/c was frigid. Was not expecting it to work and keep the hall cool under pressure. I'm used to just similar venues out east limited a/c and smothering. Just wear a light jumper/jacket in case your iron is low. All and all, this venue is decent and might have room to dance depending on artist. The sound system is great and even loud performers have sound control. The most legit small venue I've experienced so far. Hope your favorite indie/alternative artist performs here sometimes.

Small venue to see upcoming artists! PARKING: SUCKS! There's metered parking all around the area but if you're not there early, you might need to park a few blocks away. Metered parking is free after 6pm on Banning St. FYI -- don't be a dummy like me and DO NOT park behind the Moroccan Lounge Venue, that is NOT public parking. There should be a sign that warns you. VENUE : I saw Amira Elfkey (heavy goth metal, she was amazing to see). The venue is super small, it's all floor. There's merch straight when you walk in. You definitely will get claustrophobic if it's a full house. The sound was pretty good when i went.

Had a great night here seeing the band, Ray & Paul. The sound and room set-up is great. You can watch the band in one room or get drinks in an entirely different room, where it is not super noisy. Upon entering they have a merchandise area, expect to pay a cover if you are going to see live music. Nice place to catch a band. Caution don't leave things in plain sight when you park, it looks like cars can get broken into.

Inside lounge

Concert venue experience ** I love the interior of this place and the fact that as you come in there's some slight incense in the air. Inside is cozy and very wine bar vibes. The venue is intimate and small enough that if your small town artist had a concert here you'd definitely get a loot of fan service/interaction. There's seating in the lounge outside and security/workers were all very relaxed. They also provided water. I would come here to chill if there were more music to my taste( or for drinks/tapa). They do sell food that looks more fast food type! But I didn't get any. The only thing is that the projector is a bit broken so the visuals for the artists like their name etc would go on screensaver mode every few minutes.

Ask the Community - The Moroccan Lounge

Are teens allowed to enter the venue for music events or is it 21+ as well?

This was an all ages event, so yes there was some younger teens there. I would imagine this is on a show by show basis.

Are the concerts age restricted?

it's different for each show! they're either 16+, 18+, 21+, or all ages. i'd just check the event on their website before buying if you aren't sure :)

Hi, I would like to know if we can enjoy the show after eating food or do we have to get out when the show starts?

Usually they check wristbands only entering the music area.

A group of my friends and I have come here three different times, really wanting to like this place because the atmosphere is beautiful and lively. Unfortunately, each visit has been consistently disappointing due to the same bartender--a shorter male with visible tattoos and facial hair, who seems to regularly work one side of the bar. On all three occasions, we experienced being ignored while trying to order, even as other guests who arrived after us were served first. The first time, we were eventually told "you guys can wait" in a rude tone of voice while he continued taking other orders. The second time, we were never helped at all and had to move to another part of the bar, where a female bartender provided much better service. The third visit was the most concerning. When we tried to get his attention, he responded in a dismissive and rude tone, and as he walked away, we overheard him make an inappropriate comment about us under his breath calling us out of our name and we felt very disrespected so much so that we just left. We completely understand that weekends can get busy, but consistently dismissive and disrespectful service--especially across multiple visits--is not acceptable and we've also seen him be rude to other guests as well. Aside from this issue, the venue itself is great, which is why we gave it multiple chances. I really hope management can address this, as it impacts the overall appearance and experience of the establishment. Thank you.

We had two separate servers because one went home during the middle of our dinner and both were equally horrible. Not even exaggerating when I say we waited at least 15 minutes after we asked for the check and there were probably only 10 tables in the entire restaurant. And we had to call her back over to ask for a second time. SMH. The food although flavorful was so ridiculously priced it was not even funny. I got a "ribeye ". Was literally eight thin slices of steak, like 1" x 1" size for $42! No, I will not be coming back here for so many reasons. The view is great. Castaways is definitely not what it used to be in the way of quality but at least you get more and you get the view. But definitely not worth it going to this place. It was quite a frustrating evening. Also, if you do decide to go here, just bring a coat when it's a little bit cooler in the evenings cause it does get cold up here and getting the staff to manage the heaters correctly is a whole other frustration. Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it

From fun nights out, special occasions, whiskey tastings, exploring the speakeasy... playing some pool, enjoying libations, taking in live music, perfect outings on the patio, the occasional cigar. So many great memories and experiences created here including some awesome date days with my other half. If stopping in for the first time you'll discover S.G. on 7th and Grand Avenue with a door person usually always at the bottom of the staircase just outside of the restaurant/cocktail bar Zaya (which has been many incarnations including Bar CDMX, V and Mas Malo). Provide them with a valid ID, as anybody over 21 should have a valid form of identification on them at all times, not just for driving or access to 21+ events or establishments, but for safety. And Seven Grand cares about everyone and their safety. They value their staff as much as their customers. And it shows in every way from thoughtful space in all directions, great pool tables, a whiskey, bourbon and scotch curated cocktail menu, even some good brew/beer. Awesome hallways with cabinet lockers, the cleanest restrooms, great dim dark warm lighting, fun fixtures and true DTLA vibes that feel old timey yet also very modern. Seven Grand is open to all and all are welcome. Stellar daily happy hour 4pm to 8pm. I love a good $10 Toki Highball at 5pm, but you can't go wrong with their classic old fashion also. All the bartenders are incredible as well as personable. S Grand is open every day from 4pm until 2am. Loads of lots close by as well as the Metro station at 7th and Metro. Though the trains currently stop just a little after midnight. Rideshare is also your friend, which now includes Waymo in the area. Discover Seven Grand also in San Diego, Austin or Denver. If planning an event you inquire with Stephen via email for personal parties, events with a budget and even corporate parties. They're very accommodating with a good amount of notice. When we had my boyfriend's birthday here they reserved a table for us and set us up with everything we needed. Thinking of having my next birthday here myself both at Seven Grand and Bar Jackalope (their hidden speakeasy). Support your awesome LA Whiskey Bar!

We were able to get a seat on the coach and order drinks from the bar relatively quickly. Prices were pretty typical of LA ($18-25 a cocktail) but I would say I probably won't come back this late as it's in a shadier part of town. They have a bouncer and it was fine inside, but it's not a place where you can bar hop if that's what you're looking for as the area is seedy. Would be interested to try the food next time, but again, the safety and comfort of the light of day.

NOVEMBER 26.2025…read more I've been through many iterations of The Library Bar over the years... from small and cozy secret bar for those that work in the looming skyscrapers of Downtown LA to being some noisy urban hip hop affair that served godawful drinks (see my past review!), and on back to being a calm and casual neighborhood bar again. The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.

Found Anju while searching for best group dinner spots in Koreatown Los Angeles and now I completely understand the hype. First off, making the reservation was incredibly easy. Being able to book a large party online without having to jump through hoops was a huge plus. When we arrived, we got seated almost immediately, which for a large group in KTown on a busy night felt impressive. Parking initially confused us a bit because of the plaza setup, but they offer valet and it ended up being super convenient and worth it. The vibe here is awesome. It's technically an outdoor restaurant, but it still feels intimate and lively. Perfect energy for groups, celebrations, birthdays, catching up with friends, or just hanging out over Korean BBQ and soju. Kyle was our server and genuinely made the night. Super attentive, very accommodating with our large party and baby, constantly checking in, pacing the meal well, and just brought great energy to the table all night. Service like that really changes the whole experience. Food-wise, the marinated beef was phenomenal. Easily one of the standout dishes of the night. So flavorful, tender, and the kind of dish everyone keeps reaching back for. We also ordered an octopus and pork dish that completely blew me away. Probably one of my favorite bites I've had in LA in a while. The asado-style platter wasn't my personal favorite compared to the marinated meats, but it still came with a generous amount and was great for sharing with a large table. We ordered a ton of food, beers, soju, shared plates, and left absolutely stuffed. Considering the amount of food, drinks, and the size of our party, we all felt like the value was really solid. Dessert is definitely more simple and traditional, so don't come expecting some massive dessert menu, but honestly the focus here is the food, drinks, atmosphere, and group dining experience. Overall, this is one of the best large group restaurants in Koreatown if you want great Korean food, strong service, fun social atmosphere, and a place that actually handles big parties well. I had placed a phone order, for pick up; upon arrival, I found the service was prompt. I saw my food ready to go, just past the main walk-in area. Almost immediately after that, I was taken care of by the host and on my way. I've been waiting to try this place for ages so on the drive back to work I was excited to steal a piece of meat from the bag. Initial bite flavor was good, meat was tender just a bit on the chewy side.. I wasn't bothered by it too much as I'd have to leave it in an oven warmer at work. Trying to keep food warm, in doing so, I knew there'd be only two possible outcomes, melting tender or either tough & dry. So, the dish of meat and rice sat in the warmer for almost an hour hour and a half. The downhill slope.... Set the "meat " on the veggies and began to eat. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. As go on, I get the sinking feeling, this can't be real meat. I lock in, the deeper I dig, each piece looks the same, broken apart the same, tastes the same, just various shapes. They can call me crazy for this one - I'll stand by it. Something is not right here. I'm not even going to throw it away. I'm going to study it for the next few days and post an updated review. I hope I'm wrong but as of right now, I'll never revisit this place. Too freaky of an experience. We

However, the reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the valet parking experience. First, I was charged $25 even though the sign clearly stated that valet parking is $17 for the first 3 hours, and $25 after 3 hours. Our reservation was at 6:30 PM, we arrived on time, and we left before 9 PM, so the charge did not make sense. When I asked the valet attendant, he kept saying, "because you dined there," without giving any clear explanation. If it is actually a flat rate for restaurant guests, then that should be clearly stated upfront to customers. Second, when I got into my car, I noticed that someone had touched the navigation settings because the compass direction and display were different from what I normally use. I do not understand why there was any need to adjust or touch my navigation system at all. I really think the restaurant needs to improve and better manage its valet parking system. Honestly, it felt like I was being charged a random price just because I was told, "you dined there." If there is a flat valet rate for restaurant guests, that information should be clearly communicated upfront instead of leaving customers confused at the end.
