Amazing contractor!!!…read more Lawrence and his crew did a complete renovation of our basement to build an apartment for my parents. From the design through completion, it was a great experience. I found them here on Yelp and I obtained 3 quotes for the job. I had the quotes reviewed by an independent contractor who told me L&R's quote was what the job should reasonably cost. I called 4 references who all had a similar and very positive experience. Lawrence always communicated with me about schedule which had not been the case with other contractors. They were there working on my job every day, not showing up once or twice a week like some others. Any fluctuation to schedule or budget was discussed and agreed upon by both parties. We had a couple of unexpected plumbing delays but that was due to the original build not being up to the current code. I changed direction on a couple of design decisions and Lawrence was right there with me. The work was exceptional and the end product is amazing. I have had the nightmare contractor experience so was very cautious. This was exactly as the process should be and I plan to have them back in the fall to do more work. I give them my highest recommendation!

They tore off our old exterior stairs structure and siding, waterproofed the entire wall, and installed new siding and a stairs structure that is far superior to the old one. Their integrity and work quality are off the charts. The owner, Ahmad Khreshi, did thorough research before starting our well-planned project. I was impressed by his knowledge of current construction techniques and dedication to doing the job right. There were several problems that required Ahmad to think outside of the box, one being how to install siding under our existing power lines conduit which was mounted to the exterior wall at six different points. Several times, Ahmad's crew discovered water damage due to poor work by our developer. Ahmad was extremely flexible in adding repair of that damage into his work plan on top of the bid-upon work. Ahmad was kind and fair, listened to our concerns, answered our questions, kept us in the loop, worked with us on timing, and gave us a couple breaks. His crew was extremely professional and respectful, taking off their shoes when they had to come through the building and isolating interior work areas with plastic sheet dividers. When our project was completed, Ahmad send us the following. I've never worked with a contractor who followed up with an offer of help like this: "Remember, you can always reach out with any technical building related questions, in any trades. I'm more than happy to give advice and guidance on code matters or general best practices, even if you are hiring other people."

After spending time with us understanding what we wanted, he gave us a very detailed estimate of what to expect. After we compared this estimate to others and decided to go with him, he then spent time with us visiting the Tile Shop and cabinetry companies and picking out details. When we changed our minds and decided to do more tile, he was very prompt in giving us an adjusted estimate, and we never felt like he had under-bid, we knew it was our decision. We asked him to adjust the start date for the project twice, and he accommodated, communicating very well as the date approached. On day one, Francisco spent the entire day just prepping and protecting the adjoining bedroom and traffic way. He wrapped the curtains! We thought it was a bit overkill at first, until the demolition and later the tiling started and the dust arrived! They showed up on time everyday, constantly asked for input and feedback, were very respectful with our ignorance on how a remodel went, and were patient with our energetic Labrador Retriever. There were a few hiccups when parts were the wrong size or the vanities and granite came from the factories with errors, but Ricky and the guys adjusted effortlessly. Peter, Francisco and Andreas were the regulars and we got to know them pretty well. Hard working, know their stuff, and just nice guys to just talk to. We invited them and Francisco came to our 4th of July cookout! The project turned out better than we could have imagined. Your workers were polite and did great work when installing the roof. The paperwork side of things it is a different story. I had to "track down" the project coordinator multiple times. First, to schedule a time for him to come out with my insurance adjuster was going to be there. He, the project coordinator, did not show up when he said he would. Luckily, the insurance company still approved the work. Second, once the job was scheduled to find out what time the supplies would be dropped off and the work would begin. I had to call twice to get that information and still did not get a straight answer about the supplies. This was very frustrating as we wanted to make sure someone would be home when the work was completed. Lastly, to get the certificate of completion as required by my insurance company and the bill. The form for the bill was a little confusing and I wanted to make sure I was filling it out properly it took some time to get an answer about payment and I ended up calling the office to make sure payment was made properly. Overall, I would recommend the company for roofing work as they work itself was fantastic but, be prepared to have to track down the project coordinator for important information.

During a recent home improvement project to install hardwood flooring, I removed the laminate…read moreflooring that was already in place. Upon removal, I noticed that the stairs were not only badly damaged (from a previous owner's work), but were failing in multiple areas when accessed underneath. This was no longer a home improvement project, but now became a safety issue. I contacted Jonathan on a Tuesday afternoon letting him know that we had a staircase that was in need of repair. I reached out to 10 companies (that listed on their Yelp reviews that they offered carpentry) requesting a carpenter or carpentry skills, but only Jonathan and another company indicated that they could repair stairs that were damaged and in need of repair. The other company was not as responsive and indicated that they were fully booked through the summer, and that they didn't have the time. After texting and calling Jonathan throughout the day Tuesday, Jonathan indicated that he would come out the following morning to assess the damage with one of his highly skilled employees. Jonathan and his skilled carpenter were timely and direct in what needed addressed. He indicated that we would replace 10 of the 13 treads, and that they would reinforce all of the stairs underneath with 2x4's and other materials. Jonathan and his skilled carpenter were not only efficient, timely, and responsive, but the quality exceeded all expectations. Jonathan's carpenter worked nonstop Wednesday (not even a break!) and finished ahead of schedule on Thursday. The high quality work was much more than we had anticipated, and the price was reasonable (considering the urgency and timing). I highly recommend Jonathan and his company. We plan to use them for improvements and projects. Top Notch!
