Five stars for the items in the store, two stars for having to wait at least 20 minutes for the owner to show up. He left a sign saying "I'm here" and a number, which I did. Apparently "here" just meant in NYC, and the time he gave to get back was highly inaccurate. For a shop opened so few days a week, and for so few hours, I find that highly unacceptable. read more

There's at least 1,000 pairs of cufflinks, it not 10,000, in this tiny shop. The owner, Michael, is a true collector who's passionated about his items. A lot of vintage stuff here that goes from $80 to $300+ as well as many regular cufflinks that goes around $50. I spent about an hour in the store looking through boxes after boxes of cufflinks while chatting with Michael about his business. I was looking for some novelty cufflinks for my fiancé as a special little gift and I almost ended up buying two pairs (or more). That temptation, always exists and never goes away. So Tom, who I secretly admire his stories and taste, made my experience in New York City even more valuable. I suggest you to call before you go or make an appointment. People who says they waited too long for the owner to open the store don't have any empathy and consideration. I'm surprised that I'm the first to review Missing Link. I was looking for a place to get my buddy a pair of cufflinks for his birthday, and found this gem on the internet. It's a shop on the bottom floor of an indoor market. I'll admit that it took a leap of faith to get here instead of opting for a higher end department store or boutique, but boy was it worth it. The selection at Missing Link is incredible - so incredible that I was at first overwhelmed. They have everything ranging from the crafty to classy. Literally wall-to-wall, stacks upon stacks. The proprietor, Michael, is an extremely nice guy who took the time to pick through the bins to help me find what I was looking for.
