I was really excited to book the "family suite" which was over $700 for one night for our anniversary. We wanted to spend it with our kids and take the to a concert. The room was completely misrepresented online. It's tiny. The kids "room" is in a closet. There's no where to put anything and the floor heater takes up half the wall. It smells like mildew/mold. Kids wanted to watch TV and it was glitching. Windows are so dirty, no drawers in bathroom, no where to put anything. I'm just really let down and I usually love everything. I don't recommend this place. It's just insanely overpriced for a motel experience.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful designed boutique Hotel for my bachelorette. They truly made my experience so amazing. Upon arrival although our room was not ready yet the valet stored our luggage's and let us know they will take it to the room once it's ready. So we decided to grab some lunch on the Stearn's Wharf and explore Santa Barbara until our room was ready. We received a text at lunch that our room was ready and my gosh what a beautiful room. I had booked the premium ocean front room and the room they had given us had the view of the west beach of Santa Barbara. They also left a beautiful suprise in my room which was a champagne bottle, some snacks, and little card for my bachelorette which I thought was such a nice touch from this hotel. The hotel had two pools however one of them was under construction as well as their gym. We visited their pool that was open and it was pretty nice. For gym access since their gym was under construction they had provided us access to an external gym that was within 10 minutes walking distance. They also had fire pits outside in which after 6 pm the hotel would offer hot chocolate and s'mores. Their house keeping was also amazing, they cleaned our room each day during our stay. The hotel also offered bikes and hot tea/coffee in the mornings. Some minor comments the rooms are a bit small and not a lot of storage and currently the hotel since is a smaller hotel chain does not have any on-site restaurants however it's location is amazing as it's close by several restaurants walking distance. Also one of the days there was a marathon going on by our window and it was a bit noisy. Other than that the whole experience was amazing and I definitely recommend this beautiful hotel for your next stay as their service is amazing, the rooms are beautifully designed, and it's conveniently located within walking distance by beach as well as restaurants.

Our new favorite hotel in Santa Barbara!! Ocean front newly renovated , extremely clean, gorgeous landscaping all through our with romantic vined trellis' beautiful flowers AND extremely kind customer service ? Yes please !!! We loved our stay here and loved how romantic the hotel is. Very boutique-ish but quite long when you saw how much ocean front footage it had. Never felt crowded and was very peaceful. Our room was small but very reminiscent of a European hotel, very cute decor , and nice L'occitane soaps and lotions. Beds was like sleeping on a cloud !!!! Our dogs were also very welcomed here . We loved waking up and grabbing newly roasted coffee in the lobby and sitting in the courtyard while our dogs played in the grass adjacent to the property. We even saw a large hawk and herons up in the trees above us!!! I will say, We were not expecting the 40$ a night valet , but that still didn't take away from how happy this hotel made us feel. It was very quiet in our room and we spent a lot of time in the courtyard watching the ocean and the people walk by , it was perfect !! We can't wait to come back and visit again. Oh and don't miss eating at Chads next door the omelettes and chocolate chip muffins were chef's kiss

I would just like to start off with saying this is by far the best hotel stay that I have experienced while visiting hotels in Santa Barbara. The customer service is outstanding, George, Jeremiah, Maiko,Logan, Audrey, Sean, Lupe, Erica and everyone who works here has been so accommodating and friendly. I am a Santa Barbara local and I can't express how amazing this hotel is, I recommend recommended to anyone traveling into the area, as well as anyone local that's here for a staycation or a home away from home. They have many accommodations, two heated pools, and a Jacuzzi. I have stayed in many different hotels in the Santa Barbara area and this is by far number one. Quality of service is through the roof just want to give everyone a big shout out for making me comfortable and accommodating. My needs I recommend five stars, but I'd give them 10 if I could. The beach is just a

I've stayed at this hotel twice; once for my wedding and again for a long weekend. Both experiences were wonderful. The staff is always kind and the bellhop team is especially attentive and helpful. The upgraded rooms are definitely worth it for the extra comfort. The hotel's location is also very convenient, with easy access to many attractions and great places to visit around the city. I highly recommend staying here!

Location : Very convenient and walkable to a lot of restaurants.Which we love. Parking : If you stay on the queen suite side there are limited spaces but they do have permit for you to park on Bath St. as well but if you stay the other side of the property which is King suites. Those rooms came with 1 parking space per room. Rooms : First time we got room No.7 which was a queen suite.Man oh man that bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on in a hotel rooms. The room came with full stove and kitchen utensils,Coffee maker and ground coffee. If you decide to cook yourself some food they pretty much have everything you need. The second time we stayed on the king suite side at room 118A. Staffs : Every single one of them were nice and friendly.Check in and check out process went very smooth. They offer you a free snacks in the office as well. They have a garage that opens around 8 or 9 AM (they don't open it too early because the garage door is loud for guests) and has free stuff for you to use including beach cruiser bikes, beach lounge chairs, towels, beach toys, umbrellas, and more. The lobby has snacks (granola bars, bananas, orange, etc) that were accessible during their hours (they close at 9) as well as a water machine from which you can fill your aluminum water bottles from your hotel room. I liked how they didn't use plastic trash bags, no plastic bottles, and no plastic soap containers. It seemed that they were really eco-friendly. We interacted with 3 hotel staff members and all were helpful and friendly. They gave us a list of kid-centric things to do. We stayed in unit 8 which had a queen bed and a living room as well as a kitchenette. The kitchen had everything we needed and the tools were clean, new and orderly. The unit was clean as well. The palm trees in the middle of the parking lot are nicely lit at nice. The water pressure in the bathroom was super strong. I liked that the bathroom had a window as well as the kitchen. Some rooms have a small patio door in the back. From our kitchen window we could see plants and flowers. Outside of our room there were cute tables with lots of flowers as well. It's a great location and walking distance to the beach. The bad: We accidentally went a few blocks down from here to Harbor View Inn first and then realized our mistake. Two different hotels! The bathroom is on the small side. The interesting: The parking lot is small so they don't allow big trucks/vans. If you check-out before 7:30 am (like we did) then you will leave your keys in the mailbox out front by their office.

Kimpton hotels are very pet friendly and that always gets extra stars from me. They don't charge any pet fee or have size restrictions and if you ask them, they will provide food and water bowls for your stay. As someone who always travels with her dog, that adds a lot of value for me. This location even told me that, while I couldn't bring the dog to the restaurant on site, I could bring her to the nightly wine reception. I did not ever end up attending one but it's the thought that counts. The location was great. It was about a 15-minute walk to beach and we did walk to Stearns Wharf multiple times during our stay. It typically took us about 10 minutes to walk to one of the many restaurants in the area that we had decided to go to each time. There are lots of coffee shops, wine bars and places to eat within walking distance so we ended up leaving our car parked for most of our stay. I believe the valet parking was an additional $50 or $60 a night but you do get in and out privileges. We just found that we didn't need the car much to get around on our visit and in the time it takes to have somebody pull it out for you, you could have already walked halfway to your destination. The amenities are nice. They have a rooftop pool, fitness center and then their complimentary coffee, etc. I did not end up taking advantage of any of those because I travel with my dog, so I can't speak directly to the quality of any of them, but I know most people appreciate having extras like that. Our room was cute and comfortable and felt very cozy. It was honestly probably smaller than I expected for the price point, but it had everything that we needed and I was happy with my stay. If you need a pet friendly, walkable place to stay, and you aren't on a super tight budget, I would definitely recommend looking into this hotel.

Travis (valet) was our first point of contact and proved helpful with the car, bags and some insider beverage suggestions. We had a nice conversation too. Edwin checked us in, graciously and provided a full set of details including an upgrade to a suite. We used a credit card that offers "free upgrade" but you never know what that will mean. @ the Kimpton Canary it meant an extremely nice room. Large sitting area, with Nespresso coffee maker, refrigerator and large tv. The king size bed was in a room by itself overlooking the courtyard with fountain. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom has a separate shower, tub and toilet areas. Bath salts included. Robes and slippers in the closet. Amenities like AM coffee in the lobby or afternoon wine hour are nice to enjoy. The music is jazzy cozy heartfelt inviting. The decor is very chic, modern but not pretentious. Spanish tiles and colorful furniture. Service is a standout. A note in the bathroom said ask for what you need. So i tested it, asking for a lip balm by text and it was sent to the room. I also asked, Ingrid for a bottle of bubbly to be sent up with a birthday card to surprise my wife. It was delivered and made a grateful impression. A couple cookies and another note as well. Feeling extremely well taken care of here.

Perfect anniversary stay -- peaceful, friendly, and right on the beach…read more We stayed at Santa Barbara Inn for our 25th anniversary and paid for the beachside view. It was absolutely worth it. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, and what really stood out was their text-based concierge system. They text you before arrival, and you can ask for anything during your stay -- they respond quickly and clearly. Honestly, that alone made the stay feel effortless. They even had the car ready before we got downstairs. It felt like having a pocket concierge. The view was fantastic, noise levels were low, and the beach is literally across the street, right at a crosswalk. We spent a lot of time on the balcony -- the room was large, the patio was generously sized, and we loved reading out there with the sounds of birds and seals in the background. Beds were very comfortable, the bathroom had great water pressure, and the jetted tub was basically a sauna -- a huge plus after walking all day. Free water bottles in the room were also appreciated. We ate at Convivo onsite -- it was fine, solid food, but a bit pedestrian flavor-wise. That said, there are so many excellent places to eat in Santa Barbara, and we walked to several without any trouble. Very walkable area for both beach time and dining. For car lovers: there's constant classic car and hot rod cruising along the beach, which was fun to watch from the balcony. It's not cheap, but it's reasonable for the location, room size, and level of service. If you're looking for a peaceful, clean, friendly place that's perfect for couples or a special occasion, this is absolutely the place.

Our ocean view room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The outdoor s'mores were such a fun touch and the staff was mostly friendly. Pros: 1) Across the street from the beach…read more 2) Great views 3) This Hilton Hotel has a Spanish look to it, much like Santa Barbara. Cons: We went for a wedding. But only stayed one night for the wedding. The other nights that we stayed were at another hotel in Santa Barbara. This Hilton hotel I'm giving one star more than the other because it is a Hilton. 1) Completely out dated. It looks like it's something out of the 90s. They can at least buy new furniture. The carpets smell. Everything smells very musty and old. The front desk when you check in is very small. We actually walked right by it because we didn't even see it. It was that small. For such a big hotel you would think that they would have a bigger front desk for their guest to check in and out of. For this to be a Hilton, they need to spend more money on renovation. 2) We could only stay one night because of how expensive it was. We were expecting a lot more for the price. When we entered the room, the linens smelled, and again the carpet smelled very musty. We called the front desk. It took them forever to answer the phone and when they did, they had an attitude about changing the linens. It took two hours for them to come to our room to change out the linens thank God they did because the second set of linens did not smell. 3) The staff all over the hotel were completely rude and aggressive. It didn't matter what department they were in. If this was a rundown Motel 6, then that would be one thing, but it was a Hilton in Santa Barbara facing the ocean. 4) When it came time for the wedding it felt great. It felt organized. I'm not sure if that was the Hilton staff or not. but I know that the catering was the Hilton and that was not organized and that staff was horrible and aggressive. For instance, taking your food while you're still eating. And giving you attitude if you say that you're still eating your dinner. 5) When it came time to use the downstairs restroom my wife stated that the downstairs restroom was filthy, and there was paper towels all over the ground. 6) Which brings me to my next point, this Hilton Hotel felt very understaffed. I could keep going, but the point is that my wife and I do love the Hilton family hotels, but this place is not the best Hilton out there. We will not be back.
