Stayed here at The Eagle Inn for a quick weekend trip to Santa Barbara. I loved our stay and didn't want to leave! Cleanliness - 5/5. As soon as we entered the room we could tell it had been throughly cleaned. The floors we had were tile or wood and my partner and I appreciated the care that went into prepping the room for us! Staff - 5/5. The staff was super helpful and kind and helped us with recommendations of the nice beaches nearby. Vibe - 100/10. I thought the room was super cute and cozy! It had everything we needed including shower caps and makeup wipes which I thought was a nice touch. There was also complimentary coffee and delicious homemade cookies! There was also complimentary breakfast that was delivered to our room. The only downside that I found was our room was underneath the staircase and could get noisy when trying to sleep in. However I just turned on the TV and was able to sleep through it. Overall I would 1000% come again to The Eagle Inn and stay here whenever I am in Santa Barbara :) read more

Location I just learned about this inn and it is a hidden gym for sure. You can't beat the location proximity to downtown/State Street. Food Breakfast came with our room and it was perfect not too much food not too little Overall I would 100% choose to stay here again. We stayed here for Valentine's Day weekend and absolutely loved it. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the inn itself is beautiful, very vintage and charming with a thoughtfully antiqued style that gives it so much character. The bathroom was especially gorgeous and felt like a luxury experience. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and we really appreciated the free bikes available for guests. We took them along the bike path to the beach, which was such a beautiful experience and made the stay even more memorable. I'll start with the cons because there aren't many. I would've preferred a room with an extended vanity area since my husband and I shared the room and it would've been easier to get ready simultaneously. But honestly, the Eagle Inn offers hospitality and accommodations that many other places can't match. The staff there are phenomenal. From the front desk to the kitchen staff to the cleaning staff, everyone is hardworking, kind, and accommodating. Breakfast every morning was made to order. There is a coffee station and water station in the lobby 24/7. It's far enough from State Street to enjoy peace and quiet, but the hustle and bustle is a short walk away. We were able to walk to all the restaurants we wanted and to Stearns Wharf. There are also options to pay to check in early, check out late, or even stay an extra day. I would say the location of the Eagle Inn with its amazing staff at such a reasonable rate can't be beat. read more

Enjoyed my stay for the weekend. My husband and I decided to spend our anniversary in Santa Barbara and this hotel provided the perfect experience for it. They offer special little additions for your room which is a nice touch such as champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! Both were just right! The king room features a jacuzzi which is very nice to relax. Our room also had a fireplace and 2 tvs to enjoy from any angle. The rooms was very spacious with lots of room. They offer in room breakfast but in general the hotel offers breakfast options downstairs. You can also use their bikes at no additional cost. I wouldn't stay here again but my husband would. Here is my review. Loud neighbors all hours of night and early morning. Why do people do this? Moist room, so weird. Never in my life have I been both cold yet damp from humidity inside a room. Water so soft I couldn't tell if the soap was rinsed off me or not. The bed was too soft and lumpy, felt like the mattress was made from a pile of wadded up towels or something. The towels were scratchy and they didn't have fresh single use toiletries, they had shampoos and soaps anchored to the wall which is not hygienic in my opinion. The price is expensive. The hotel was cool because I love old things but it wasn't comfortable for my preference. The free breakfast and coffee was nice. read more

He was super enthusiastic when I checked in. He hyped the experience for me and took care of a minor challenge I had! He was respectful, kind and accommodating! What a small romantic/intimate inn located right next to Downtown Santa Barbara and the beach. I stayed from Friday to Monday with a buy two get one free day stay. Our stay was magnificent and the staff did a great job with everything. I came late, around 9:30 pm and checkin was smooth and accommodating. I ordered a red roses addition for $40 and honestly it was fresh flowers, plus you get to take home the vase. We walked into the room with a nice birthday card and flowers pedals on the bed. Each stay came with complimentary breakfast every morning. It's not a buffet style but a ticket system which is redeemable for one plate of food. Food was sizable and very good amount for breakfast. You are served in a dining room setting but also can get breakfast room serviced with no additional charge. Location wise, there is so much to do because it's literally like a 5 minute walk to downtown. The beach/wharf is only a 5-10 minute walk as well. Lastly there was no issue with parking since they have a lot. It may fill up from what I've heard but didn't have any issues during my whole stay. Would recommend if you're looking for an intimate/romantic stay in Santa Barbara. It's a quiet inn and you can hear the neighboring rooms footsteps but I didn't think it was that bad. read more

We had an excellent stay here. We came later in the evening and Peter was very helpful in welcoming our stay and giving us clear directions on checking in. Parking was already full in their lot by the time we got there, but there was parking right up front. (Make sure you read the parking limitations carefully). We had a large 2 bed downstairs next to the lobby. It was very spacious and comfortable With many sitting areas in there. I love that there are plenty of windows for sunlight to come in. There was also a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Breakfast the next morning was in a room with someone taking our orders. Each breakfast was individually prepared and was delicious. I loved the atmosphere in the dining room. There is also a sophisticated coffee/hot chocolate machine with coffee roasted from Beacon coffee, Ventura. There is also a purified water machine outside that can be used at all times. Bike rentals were free and included a basket and locks. They also had helmets if you need it. Katie was very helpful in helping us set up the bikes. There are plenty of bike paths in Santa Barbara. You can also bike to the zoo. I will definitely come back again. read more

Boyfriend booked us a hotel during our visit to Santa Barbara for a wedding. Reminds me of Spanish style houses. There is a parking lot for hotel guests luckily as I heard other hotels nearby charges parking/valet. Boyfriend had booked the 2nd floor with a tub but upon check in, I guess that room was no longer available so they had upgraded us to a casita with a tub. Not complaining since the casitas were more private and didn't share walls with other guests. I loved that the hotel also provides complimentary breakfast that can also be delivered to your door. The casitas were names vs room numbers. We stayed at the San Miguel. Reminds me of mini houses which were cute. There was a mini kitchen area with microwave and mini fridge, 2 person hot tub in the bedroom and a nice shower area. The showers had double heads. There was AC and television. The stay was comfortable for the night. It was quiet and we were able to sleep well. Breakfast was delivered earlier than our time we requested. Overall it was a nice and cozy stay. Beautiful 1929 Hotel very close to beach but in quiet neighborhood. Peter at the front desk is amazing. Knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, he was a significant factor in making our stay enjoyable. Peter is definitely an asset to the property! Located in a residential neighborhood not far from dining and shopping, the Eagle Inn is very cozy and relaxed, reasonably close to the ocean. The casita was clean, well maintained with a nice walk-in shower and soaking tub, and attached kitchenette. Breakfast in the small restaurant on property was included in the accommodations and it was tasty. It's advertised as beachside which is a bit of a stretch (it's about two blocks) but definitely within walking distance. Recommended. read more

So straight up the place is nice. Spanish colonial style looks great. The facility is clean. Very clear the staff have been well trained in customer service. They are great. Lots of little sitting areas to enjoy on the property. Free coffee always easily available. My only issue was the price. I know it is in a popular location and I was there on desirable nights and I do understand supply and demand but $450 per night Fri night and Sat night? Sheesh! We stayed here just for a night but it was amazing. Beautiful room and balcony. Very very clean. The breakfast in the morning was a nice touch as well. They just got a new fancy coffee machine. I was able to get a cafe mocha my favorite whenever I wanted. The staff was so friendly. This hotel is in the perfect location to cruise around town and parking was not an issue! Highly recommend! I couldn't be more pleased with an inn, as coming from SOCAL Orange County where every inn is disgusting This inn is located in a section of about 5 inns... they offered one of the cheaper prices which is why I picked it! A cute and quaint place the eagle inn is! Cleanliness... 5/5 Coming into it it smelt freshly cleaned and looked in perfect order as it should be. Bathroom... 5/5 Nothing is better than a squeaky clean bathroom and the eagle inn reached the expectation! They also have a GREAT water pressure system along with big bottles of soap and shampoo! Room size... 3.5/5 Not the biggest nor the smallest for around 350$ a night Food & cafe... 4/5 TONY!! It was Tony's service that carried the experience! The food is cute and simple, and they offer a super cool coffee machine that I never seen before! Affordability... 4/5 Definitely in a tourist area that is an additional arm and leg but competing with other inns and stays near by, the eagle inn beats their competitors with being more affordable while offering the expected necessities of a stay. A group of 8 over 65 year olds stayed here over the weekend and we all thought this was a great place to stay, not only based upon the location and price but because it was just a cute and fun place. It's only about 3 blocks from the ocean in somewhat of a residential neighborhood (we were told it used to be an apartment building) and not far from the pier, and the price to stay was very fair based on prices of other hotels in the area. Each room was a bit different and nice, the beds very comfortable, a desk to do needed online work and the shower water easily adjustable. Breakfast is part of the room cost and the best part is that one could order off a menu, so it wasn't like other places where there's a mini-buffet. Another fun thing is that on a table near the front desk was either candy or cookies, depending upon the time, and they certainly went fast. Both of the front desk people were friendly, helpful, answered questions, gave us not only advice but suggestions on where to eat for lunch and dinner. The only reason I debated between giving this 4 or 5 stars is because on our last night there the WiFi went out, and a couple of us were counting on using it either than night or the morning before we left. Having said that, we all would definitely come back and recommend this to others vacationing in Santa Barbara. read more

A few minor nits - Soundproofing was a bit lacking (could hear snoring from the room upstairs) but overall it was pretty quiet. Toiletries had an odd feel - soap left the skin pretty slick so it felt like you still had soap on you even after rinsing for quite a bit. Overall though we had a great stay. read more

We stayed for two nights in the Santa Catalina Casita for our anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay at The Eagle Inn and will be back. Our room was super clean with a lot of amenities including plates, glassware, silverware and robes. The bed was extremely comfortable and towels were plentiful. The hotel accommodated a last minute request for their romance package which was set up in our room on check in. The friendly staff provided great tips for local restaurants and directions. Had a wonder stay at the Eagle inn for my wedding. We chose the eagle inn mostly due to its boutique bnb vibe, but as well as the vast amount of positive reviews. Parking was very easy each night and the staff was friendly, and communicated daily to make sure we were happy. The casita we stayed in was spacious and clean. The tub and fireplace made it incredibly cozy to wind down after a long day. The hotel gives a complimentary stainless steel water bottle for you to reuse at their water refill station during your stay. I try make sustainable choices whenever i can, and that was so refreshing to see. We ate the hotel breakfast one morning, and it was incredibly delicious. We had the option to get it delivered to the room, or to go to their breakfast area. We chose the later. Our order was taken almost immediately. Fresh fruit and orange juice was served around the room prior to us getting our food. I was really happy with the vegan option. It was fresh veggies sautéed with a slight seasoning and served with an English muffin. The hotel location is great. It's tucked in a neighborhood and is a short walk to be near the water or state street. Santa Barbara hotels can be pretty pricey, so this was a nice option that was slightly more affordable than most. Seemed to attract an older crowd, which was fine by us since it was quiet at night. Highly reccomend for anyone staying in Santa Barbara, especially if you're getting married at the courthouse. read more

My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon in Santa Barbara and it was couldn't have gone better! We stayed in the Santa Rosa casita and loved the two person bathtub, cozy fireplace, kitchenette and balcony. The check in experience was great - Peter was very attentive and kind and explained the breakfast offerings to us (which were delicious and conveniently got delivered to our room). We didn't get to try the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies or ride the bikes but plan to do that on our next visit. There's a latte machine in the lobby that was great, it's located just a short walk from State Street and several restaurants in Santa Barbara and there was ample parking. 5/5 experience! What a beautiful little place to stay! My husband and I stayed over the weekend and we had such a good experience! Everything is clean, you get a coffee machine in the room and espresso machine outside that you can use at all times, tea is available and cookies after 3pm :). You get bikes as well and we went on a Santa Barbara tour, the bikes were fully operational. The breakfast was simple but nice! The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. We had an amazing stay at this hotel, very close to the beach and restaurants. The rooms were spotless and the staff was very friendly.

I had no trouble finding parking when I arrived or any of the four nights I was there. The man who checked me in was helpful with a map and took my suit case up to my room which was appreciated since there isn't an elevator. My room was nice and they included eye masks and ear plugs which was appreciated since the birds started chirping by 5am. Breakfast was good, but the menu says item one OR item two OR item three, etc. I get that they don't want you to have two big breakfasts, but I would've liked the Honey Nut Cheerios as part of my breakfast, but it was listed as a separate item so didn't seem like I could do that. I was working while I was there and they offered to let me work in the breakfast room while my room was being cleaned. I think my sheets got changed every day or two which is unusual in hotels now. Appreciated the filtered water and loved the chocolate chips cookies they had out every afternoon. They have beach towels and chairs you can borrow. I wasn't sure how the location would be, but it was very convenient to the Funk Zone (less than 10 min walk) which had lots of restaurants. Stearns Wharf was maybe a 15 min walk. read more

Cons: room 105, bed not too comfortable or pillows, can hear people stomping if your below and light comes through door from hallway. Cardboard walls, able to hear from ur front neighbors as well as whoever was next to house, lots of noise. Limited parking and if you're staying for weekend or holiday, street parking is very strict, free bikes need to be brought back before dark. read more
