The fish was cooked to perfection, seasoned well and came in good portions. The greens were delicious, tender and flavorful. For a moment I transported back to my Grandmother's kitchen table. Best of all -no meat is used to cook them! Get that. ::Sigh:: Candied Yam/Sweet Potatoes: I will not have again but I am more of a baked sweet potato person myself. Minus one star since sweet potatoes are my favorite and I couldn't dig these. The service: 8 Stars here! Better than service, there is community up in there! Go enjoy, be merry, eat like you're at home. No pork on the menu whatsoever -nope, not even the bacon. So, all you brunch lovers who have been searching for par fair minus the bacon drippings, head over to Angel's Cafe B&B for their once a months Sunday brunch.

She cooked breakfast for us and was wonderful to converse with. The only downside is that it is on the border of the business district (right around the corner from the police station and a Hilton and multiple banks) and a bad section of town. If you stay there don't turn left down S Pearl st, esp walking. That is the only reason for the last star missing. Great place to stay!!

We looked at the…read morelodge, but needed somewhere with a kitchen, we looked at Airbnb but didn't find anything in the area. My husband wanted somewhere with a fireplace so I began to look at bed and breakfasts. I came across Rosehaven Inn but found it to be closed. I then came across Curran's. I called and immediately spoke with Kelly who was incredibly informative and helpful. Curran's is self-lodging, meaning you let yourself in, enjoy your stay (don't expect housekeeping), and leave the key when you pull the door closed behind you. It was exactly what we wanted. Above a tavern (that is now closed), with parking in the back, the three rooms are beautiful. Each has a kitchen and fireplace, is warm and cozy, and is well cared for. My credit card was not charged until our actual stay, and Kelly made it known that she would be available by phone or e-mail should we need absolutely anything. There was a freestanding closet in which to hang our coats, an electric fireplace, tv, unbelievably comfortable bed, kitchen (mini fridge, electric stove top, keurig, microwave and sink), and soft carpeting throughout. The bathroom was like that out of a magazine. Dual-sink, rain showerhead, deep soaking tub, it was everything we could have wanted. I have never been so relaxed, nor left a vacation with such a smile on my face. My husband and I were THRILLED with our stay and will be returning to Curran's in the future.

The suite was elegant, comfortable, and very clean and fully supplied. The building and grounds were likewise cared for and well groomed. As seniors, we both have dietary needs that were simple to accommodate with the kitchen and eating area. Kelly assured us she was quickly available, but we had no need of any assistance, nor any complaints. The independence of checking in and out on our own was another asset. Finally, Curran's is on the quiet end of a creatively revived main street with several good eating venues. Recommended without hesitation. We will definitely return. Thank you Kelly!

Whatever. That's fine. This is a no frills, old school motel with some charming features. The manager, Joe, is very friendly and accommodating. Good at recommending places. Puts out a nice breakfast. The first room we were given smelled like cat pee so we requested another room. Joe took a whiff and agreed. So they do accept pets! Second room fine. We booked our reservation for 3 nights through Booking.com. On our day of check out we said goodbye to Joe so we know he knew we were checking out. Later we got a credit card bill for 4 nights! It took several phone calls to Joe (he didn't return calls) and when we finally got through he argued that we stayed 4 nights. Sent him the booking.com reservation showing we only booked for 3 nights. Finally the owner who lives in FL got involved and he also maintained we had reserved for 4 nights! It was totally ridiculous considering we had the booking.com reservation showing 3 nights. Finally we turned it over to booking.com to deal with them which involved several phone calls, sending our credit card statement, etc. Ultimately booking.com issued us a refund for the fourth night so guess they dealt with the management. So the bottom line is: OK to stay here but be sure to get a receipt when you check out! After writing this review, someone sent me the owner's Facebook link. Now I KNOW I'll never stay there again. The water in the guest rooms and kitchen smells like sulfur/farts/rotten eggs. I mean, it's extreme. Very, very extreme. All of the rooms have Jacuzzi's, and I just can't imagine submerging myself in one of those tubs with the smell of the water. Peeee-yew! 2. The venue is beautiful, but it's really up to the renters to make it what they want it. It takes a *lot* of work to set things up (benches for the ceremony, room for the reception, etc.), so you have to be prepared to put some sweat into the space. That being said, it was totally worth it to work hard. My cousin's wedding ended up being the most beautiful wedding I've been to in my life. It was also great to be able to rent out all of the guest rooms for the wedding party so we were all together. There's a giant/modern kitchen so you can cook or keep things cold in the fridge. All of the other living spaces are so totally kitschy. There are artifacts and knickknacks and weird things all over the place. I can't even begin to describe some of the things you'll find in the guest spaces...that's really part of the fun of staying here! Anyway, the landscaping is beautiful. And there are fainting goats! And a pig named Victoria! And chickens! And bunnies running everywhere. And you can have firewood delivered so you can make a bonfire and cook s'mores. Really I can't say enough about what a nice space this is. Hopefully one day everyone can rent out the rooms again and we can celebrate one of their anniversaries!
