We stayed at the Washington Park Inn on the night of 8/16/26. It was supposed to be a 4-night stay…read more We elected to leave and find better accommodations. The following paragraph, and the pictures attached, was from the email sent to the owner/operator after our first, and only, night. The email was resent after receiving a generic "Thank you for staying with us" email on 8/21/26. When we left in the morning I also sent a text message to the contact number we were given. As of the date of this review (8/30/26) I have received no response in any form. I cannot argue the lack of refund due to accepting the policy when booking but I would expect an acknowledgment of my communications. I will say that the common area inside did appear to be nicely maintained and clean. My rating is based on the significant differences between website photos/descriptions and actual conditions and the complete lack of response to my communications. "We were very disappointed in the condition of the inn. Aside from the cosmetic condition around the outside of the building, we were disappointed to find light bulbs out in our room, the bathroom doorknob that appeared ready to fall off, curtains and blinds that did not block the streetlights streaming in, missing blinds on one window, windows that could not be locked, no apparent climate control for our room (even a table fan would have been helpful), a thoroughly unimpressive view of basketball courts and a skate park (not Washington Park) from our window, and under the bed looked like it had not been cleaned. While the room was sufficient enough to sleep in for one night, we did not feel that it was worth staying as we were celebrating an anniversary and had expected a more intimate and comfortable stay. The pictures and descriptions from the website appeared to be somewhat misleading. I recall the refund policy did not include early check outs but in light of the multiple deficiencies at the property that prompted our early departure, and given that the room will be available to you for rebooking, I am respectfully requesting a partial refund of 50% (just the room fee for 2 nights) of our reservation cost. "

The room we reserved was not the room we stayed in therefore making it difficult to work without a desk and the extra space we paid for but didn't get. No one apologized for this inconvenience. The amenities were not as stated on their website either. Only one bike available, no pressed coffee, no charcuterie either. Our bed was comfortable but our room either too hot or very cold. Easy parking and very clean. The cleaning lady was very nice! Make sure and stay upstairs, the rooms downstairs I think would not be very quiet. If the amenities were as they advertised I would stay here again.

I recently stayed a few nights at The Morgan State House Inn and had a mostly pleasant stay…read more I thought I was staying in their main house, but they actually had my room a couple doors down in some studios that are apparently also part of the inn. Not a big deal, but I don't know that this is something you'll really know until check-in. The building a few doors down where I stayed also appeared to be historic though a bit less grand on the main level than the main house. The lobby of the building was festively decorated for the holiday. With the bright windows, a sofa, Christmas music playing, and a tree twinkling, one afternoon I couldn't resist getting a little work done in the lobby. My room was cozy with a small kitchenette, bed, arm chairs, and desk. The arm chairs are cute but not very comfortable. The desk was perfectly positioned overlooking the windows, which made for a great spot to work. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and probably needs to be replaced (it was sinking on both sides with a high spot in the middle). For my solo traveling girlies: +The inn is not staffed all night +Doors have old fashioned keys, deadbolts, and chains +The surrounding neighborhood seems nice and safe enough +Parking is slightly off site and requires walking around the block or through the back of the property. If you don't need to bring a car, I'd opt for uber +I think there may be some permanent residents in the additional property (a couple doors down from the main house) All and all, it's a beautiful, historic property, which is one of my favorite sorts to stay in. I wouldn't likely stay there again solo, but would absolutely stay with my partner!

The main one being that I was unable to enjoy the tub as much as I would have liked. The first night the jets didn't work, and someone was nice enough to come by the next day and fix it. Later that night I was looking forward to finally using the tub as intended (and even cancelled a spa day for it) but the other guests had already used all of the hot water by then. I left without getting much of any enjoyment from the tub, which is the main reason I booked the room in the first place. The other issue was the parking situation, which, to be fair, I should have anticipated before booking, considering its location. The parking spot doesn't come with the room, so you must pay extra to access it, and finding it in the dark after dinner is not easy when you have to follow a paper map and there is a line of cars behind you. Walking back to the inn alone in the dark was also pretty unsettling. Overall, this experience was the opposite of relaxing. I will say that the property is very pretty, though, and seemed to be clean.

Long story short: This place is amazing!…read more Long story: Everything about this place seemed to good to be true when I read the reviews but to my surprise Hotel Mountain Brook hit every one of my expectations. First off, the location. It's located right off the main road through Tannersville and is perfectly perched right atop a hill, so you're surely gonna capture some great views of the mountainous landscape. The place itself is so incredibly quaint and gives off the homey and warm cabin/lodge feeling. There's only about 20 rooms/cabins to reserve so the staff to patron ratio is very good. And it shows because the staff went out of their way to communicate with everyone and have a friendly chat. It's run by a two people, Sarah and Ryan, who were always around for help. And they were incredibly polite! The rooms themselves were DOPE. Great views, and warm even in the 15 degree weather. The bathtub jets worked so well to my surprise which was great for a jacuzzi like dip after a day of skiing at Hunter Mountain. And the perks! The common space had a game area with an entire wall of DVDs you could take to your room and watch. And if you got hungry or thirsty, there were all sorts of snacks, hot drinks, soda, coffee, you name it, all available in the common space - on the house. Breakfast was every morning, 8-10am and the selections were plentiful. The staff would approach your table or wherever you chose to sit and tell you what was on the menu for the morning and they would prepare it FRESH and bring it out to you. I gots more to say but this should be enough to convince you to pay a visit here next time you're planning a trip to the area!

We were looking forward to a relaxing getaway at Tiny Home Resort, but unfortunately, the…read moreexperience fell short of expectations, especially considering the price. Our biggest concern was the cleanliness and maintenance of the property. There were visible stains on the towels, bed linens, and window blinds. Even more concerning, the water from the faucet was discolored despite letting it run for some time. These issues were unacceptable given the cost of the stay. The hospitality was also disappointing. The resort seems intentionally designed to minimize interaction with guests, but the experience felt impersonal rather than welcoming. Additionally, activities come at an extra cost, which was disappointing given how expensive the accommodations already were. We participated in an arts and crafts activity, and the host barely spoke to or engaged with us. While the tiny home concept is appealing, the overall experience did not justify the price. Between the cleanliness concerns, questionable water quality, additional activity fees, and lack of hospitality, we left feeling disappointed. Unfortunately, I would hesitate to recommend this resort without significant improvements.
