When you rent out Reunion Ranch (the outside grounds..a whole bunch of acres :) you have the entire place to yourself w/ access to over 41 activities..let me repeat that..YES, 41 activities!! There really was something for everyone one to enjoy..from the babies to the grown peeps! And the Reunion Ranch staff are so organized & kept things flowing so smoothly..even with over 400 attendees! I also really liked how the RR staff would announce over the loud speaker what activity was about to start. Activities Reunion Ranch offered: -tug of war mud pit..yes, complete with a real MUD PIT!! -volleyball courts -canoe & paddle boats -man made little sand beach -maze -horse shoes & washers -miniature golf -zip line -wagon rides -pony rides -obstacle course -teen tower -dunking booth ect ect ect And so many more activities but tooooo many to name & I'm not trying to get carpal tunnel ;) Another thing I give kudos to Reunion Ranch is the food serving line..they have about 6 different serving lines w/ RR staff making the plates & even w/ over 400 people in attendance the wait time was super fast. We had all you can eat barbecue plates & all you can eat Bluebell ice cream cups! There also was cotton candy, popcorn, & snow-cones for everyone to enjoy & for us adults..the libations offered were...sangrias, beer, & wine!! I was a regular at the sangria station!! ;) Reunion Ranch really is a cool place to have a team building event, reunion, or a wedding. The venue itself is so pretty surrounded by lots of trees & just has a different vibe to it. For sure I totally recommend Reunion Ranch!! They get 5+++++++++++ stars in my book -Rebecca out

Our world shut down in Texas 3 weeks before our wedding date. I am giving The Union 1 star due to the fact that they were not willing to refund out deposits. I had to cancel my wedding due to Covid-19, as my fiancé's side is all from New York. On April 2nd, 2020, everything, including The Union, shut down. Based on the contract, this should have fallen into Force Majeure, for which I should have received all monies paid. However, I because I decided to hold onto the last large lump sum of my remaining balance, I "broke contract" and they will not be giving my any refund. Thank God I didn't pay the remaining balance because they would have kept that too. To be fair, The Union did offer to let us reschedule the wedding date at not cost, but given the current state of the country and travel restrictions, it's not worth the risk of endangering my loved ones. We would have considered rebooking when/if things got better, but the venue does not hold the same feeling it once did.

See the photos/videos included in this review of the beautiful Garey House grounds. The Garey House makes a beautiful backdrop for photos. The contrast of the stone, wood, and outdoor lighting is perfection! The wedding ceremony was held outside where there is an outdoor pavilion located right in front of a small pond. The setup was simple, yet so elegant. Just an fyi, during the ceremony that there wasn't any shade coverage for the guests in attendance. Thankfully though, the wedding I attended was held in late December (3pm) so our Texas sun wasn't as hot as it is during summer time and the ceremony was short but sweet. A Flower wall was setup outside as well so guests could take photos in front of it and there was a separate area for sit down eating and small area for dancing. Helpful Tidbits: 1.) parking: Garey House is located within a 525-acre park so upon entering the park, you'll come to a booth where the park employee will give you a parking pass to put on your dashboard & also give directions on getting to Garey House. There is plenty of paved parking located right in front of GH so ladies, don't panic about having to walk a long distance in those high heels (you're welcome;) Hope this info helps! Rebecca

She said that she would let us know the evening before our wedding to let us know if they were going to use the rain plan and she did not. Once we got to the venue on our wedding date she had already decided that they were going to do the rain plan without talking with us before. Candice sent home the staff before we had even gotten there so they were unable to move the chairs for inside to outside for our ceremony. It didn't even rain that evening so we were even more upset because our guests had to stand during the ceremony. If Candice would have talked with us the evening before our wedding like she said she would and if she would have keep her staff there until we got there we wouldn't have not been so upset. We were both very upset with the way that Candice handed this and will not be recommending this wedding venue to any of our friends or family.

Having worked hundreds of weddings as a coordinator and staffing specialist, I was very excited…read moreabout this working at this new venue. It's location is a stretch but the architecture and scenery is beautiful BUT beauty does not make up for personality. The lady in charge, site manager - Tina was just awful from start to end. She did not return calls, was defensive about every single question or concern and was right out rude from planning to the day of. I have no earthly clue why the owner would want someone with that sort of attitude promoting weddings and events. I will never ever coordinate or work a wedding there again after my experience with her last weekend. She was horrifically mean spirited, rude and furious and just about verbally assaulted anyone she spoke with on the day of the wedding I coordinated there. I did everything I could to change her tune, make her happy and just keep the bride and groom sheltered from her grotesque nature. She was in my face all night complaining constantly about very silly things such as 'diapers being in her trash cans', 'cups being left in the bridal suite' and even told me that the attendees and wedding party were 'trashy and disgusting'. This party was calm, respectful, fun loving and also friends of mine. Speaking about your clients that was is just unheard of. For those of us in the industry - weddings can be stressful enough on a couple, having a coordinator and good vendors make all the difference on creating a fun and memorable day for them. But when you have someone like Tina parading around during their wedding complaining and threatening charges on every single mishap- it can really cause a bad vibe. I am not one to get angry easily but her raising her voice, yelling at me over the tiniest and silliest things I was just in awe of how angry this woman must live her life. I stayed 3 hours after I was paid to help her out and clean up every tiny piece of trash while she sat and pointed/complained. And then she complained some more that it was taking me too long. I showed up early on in the day to get set up and introduce myself and her response was "You need to leave my venue and sit outside and wait until 2pm, I have a life you know". Woah. That woman has no business booking weddings, taking care of that venue or even being in any sort of sales/personnel business. She was just awful, so much so I wanted to let others know to STAY AWAY from this mess. Don't spend your wedding fighting with her, dealing with her drama on your big day - it can sincerely ruin the vibe. Do not let the beauty of the home (venue) detour you. There are hundreds of venues in the greater Austin area. Avoid this one like the plague, unless they fire Tina. She claims to be best friends with the owner so that is unlikely to happen anytime soon... Good luck Villa on Lake Georgetown, your reviews online and verbally are horrific due to one bad apple. This business is not going to succeed at all. After my experience, and not really wanting to 'bash' anyone- this all had to be said to save prospective brides from booking with her disastrous attitude and way of operating this place!
