Our world shut down in Texas 3 weeks before our wedding date. I am giving The Union 1 star due to the fact that they were not willing to refund out deposits. I had to cancel my wedding due to Covid-19, as my fiancé's side is all from New York. On April 2nd, 2020, everything, including The Union, shut down. Based on the contract, this should have fallen into Force Majeure, for which I should have received all monies paid. However, I because I decided to hold onto the last large lump sum of my remaining balance, I "broke contract" and they will not be giving my any refund. Thank God I didn't pay the remaining balance because they would have kept that too. To be fair, The Union did offer to let us reschedule the wedding date at not cost, but given the current state of the country and travel restrictions, it's not worth the risk of endangering my loved ones. We would have considered rebooking when/if things got better, but the venue does not hold the same feeling it once did.

We booked just in time and we were able to actually come in and set up a couple of times so that we had a visual concept (only on Wednesdays). The communication between us and the park was really calming and they were able to almost accommodate all of our request. It is not overly expensive and you are given virtually the entire venue. However, the AC turns COMPLETELY OFF when the doors are open and takes forever to cool down the room even the least bit. We spent 4 hours in 80+ degree heat due to this dysfunction. If you are planning an event I would recommend you LEAVE THE DOORS LOCKED. Otherwise, beautiful venue, wish I didn't sweat for 4 hours in formal wear, or that this wasn't a venue in Texas.

I'm extremely disappointed because on the day of the event, the coordinator, Stephanie, was not there. Would she have made a difference in the day? Probably not, but I feel it was tacky she wasn't there to oversee the event. The two staff ladies that did work it were great. Very friendly! The event coordinator put it all on them. We ordered pastries and muffins and they were AWFUL. Dry, blah and nothing tasty or pretty. The assorted fruit was pineapple, cantaloupe and honeydew. That was not only bland looking but tasted bland. The bacon was good! ‍Overall, the food was nothing exciting AT ALL. For the amount of money we spent, the food was a D+ at best. Thank god we could bring in our own desserts!! The worst part of this whole event was NO ONE ever contacted us to see how our event was! How were the staff? How was the food? How can we improve? Could we have done anything to make the day better? Etc. etc. ----THAT'S what you do in customer service! A business should follow up. I did try contacting the owners (via googling to find their names), left a message and again, NO RESPONSE. WOW. They took the money and ran!! So, on that note, I will not recommend this place to anyone. The event coordinator was very firm the entire time---you can't do this, you can't do that----and EVERY time I talked with her she repeated herself constantly . She kind of took some of the joy out of it. I took one of my friends to see the place (who was hosting with me!) and Stephanie was cold and not the least bit friendly. Again, very disappointed in her. Day=great!! Daughter= happy and beautiful!! Guests= we had a place full and they enjoyed themselves!! Food=awful Customer service= terrible

Based on my estimation, it seats about 250 people. The space had enough room for a dance floor, food station, DJ station with instruments and bar. The space also had a raised level stage. The acoustics at Parq were clear and audible. Special noteworthy features include ceiling and side lighting. The facility also had to large projection screens. The Parq was perfect for this event. The ambiance was a cross between modern dance club to a wedding reception like environment. It a bit deceiving looking at the building from Highway 183 from the outside as it looked like a big warehouse building, very indistinct. Once you opened the door you were transported to anther space and time! Time spent at the anniversary celebration was warm and enjoyable! Recommend giving it a whirl...

The event was bigger than what we expected so it worked out well. R Parking: The event was from 4-10pm, and I'm so glad I made the call to get there by 4:30pm. There was plenty of parking spaces at the front when we arrived. Vendors: There was Thai, Japanese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Laos, Cambodian, and Indian food although I don't recall seeing any Chinese or Korean vendors though. Food costs: every vendor we went too, we paid about $25 - $30. Portion sizes were filling for us and to be honest we were stuffed and had leftovers. The boba was a bit expensive, about $7 per drink ..but still yummy. Lines: My husband and I got to the event around 4:30pm and we're so glad we did that. The lines were short or no wait at all. By 6:30 - 7pm the lines and wait time were long! I was hearing some of the vendors were out of food by the time it got dark. Overall: Asian Night World Market was great and hoping this will be an annual event.

Add to it, there are drop off/pick up spots for shared ride services such as Lyft and Uber. The entrance area was well organized, and everyone is screened prior to entering the concert area. Once inside there are food trucks and stands that serve beer/wine. Also, there was what seemed to be an endless number of porta-potty's available. I had a VIP ticket which granted me access to a 'VIP-area' that served beer, wine and liquor. The only downside was whatever was purchased there had to be consumed in the VIP area. The VIP area also had its own porta-pottys. From what I observed, lawn chairs can be brought into the venue and recommend doing so if you are not one to stand during an entire concert. The acoustics were amazing as the sound did not get lost into open space. All said, I had an amazing time and would return to this venue for more concerts.

I also really liked how the RR staff would announce over the loud speaker what activity was about to start. Activities Reunion Ranch offered: -tug of war mud pit..yes, complete with a real MUD PIT!! -volleyball courts -canoe & paddle boats -man made little sand beach -maze -horse shoes & washers -miniature golf -zip line -wagon rides -pony rides -obstacle course -teen tower -dunking booth ect ect ect And so many more activities but tooooo many to name & I'm not trying to get carpal tunnel ;) Another thing I give kudos to Reunion Ranch is the food serving line..they have about 6 different serving lines w/ RR staff making the plates & even w/ over 400 people in attendance the wait time was super fast. We had all you can eat barbecue plates & all you can eat Bluebell ice cream cups! There also was cotton candy, popcorn, & snow-cones for everyone to enjoy & for us adults..the libations offered were...sangrias, beer, & wine!! I cannot adequately explain how amazing our wedding celebration was at Zilker Park Clubhouse!! I'm…read moreholding a star since we received an email saying we got our deposit back Aug 12th and I still haven't seen the funds in my account- but besides that issue it's definitely got a 5 star rating! We actually got married a month prior in MA, but needed to celebrate the occasion with all our friends who live here with us in TX. This event space was perfect for a party on a budget. The view- I mean, come ON, was just incredible, and the backdrop for everyone's photos! People could not stop talking about how phenomenal it was. The process of getting the place was a bit tricky, as I could not navigate their government website to select the date and missed the cut-off time before having to do the lottery. Luckily, not a lot of people were begging for dates in August as the venue does not have air conditioning- so the heat was a bit brutal (but that's Texas!)- but we got it no problem! I ended up calling and the person I spoke to was very helpful. Speaking of air conditioning- or lack-there-of- we ended up renting some swamp coolers (huge cooling fans that run off of ice- but a LOT of ice!!) to help with the heat. There are ceiling fans and a few industrial fans included- but those don't help too much in August! I had a hard time figuring out what exactly we needed- so I'm going to add a quick "plug" for Preferred Climate Solutions our of Hutto, TX. They worked ZPC before and knew how to set things up. Brett even had an extra swamp cooler from an earlier event he let us use. Moving on- because this place doesn't require use of specific vendors- it made it that much affordable. We hired Slab BBQ to cater and Pixster photo booth for fun. For drinks, we filled out the necessary paperwork (some cheap $10ish permit? I can't quite remember) and we're able to just bring in a few kegs and boxes of wine from PartyBarn. Everything went off without a hitch! Good to note- the place provides a bunch of tables. Two huge round ones, a few smaller round and rectangle ones, and some nice cocktail tables we used on the patio. (The cocktail tables and one rectangular were good enough condition to go without tablecloths- the rest require coverings.) For lighting- it was definitely important to us to get string lights on the patio. I realized last minute that getting a few hundred feet of lights was going to be trickier than I initially thought- since I had to consider ones that connected and could manage the power of 300 ft of lights. I used Americanpartylights.com- it worked out great! They included zip ties which is important since it's against the park rules to use tape (holds better anyways.) I found a great diagram of ZPC patio for the light arrangements and measurements (photo included.) It was a perfect celebration and I HIGHLY recommend this space for any event! It has such a cool vibe even without decorations, your set up can be minimal and still look amazing. Plus... that VIEW!
