We enter and sit at the bar. They have booze, but only a few kinds. No problem. They have beer, the expected one's. All good. It's early in the evening, the crowds are thin, the music is good, we have a drink, we are happy. If only we had time for more than one drink. This is a dive bar. Just do it.

The seats are made of oil barrels, there's half a car swinging from the ceiling, there's sawdust on the floor...really. You are instantly drawn to it and the live music you can hear coming from the inside, I visited on a Tuesday at about 1pm and the place was packed. We could not initially find a place to sit. You are not greeted as you walk in and there is no one to check in with to get a table. You are on your own scavenger hunt for a place to sit. We were lucky and stalked someone that was just leaving so we were able to sit. We also had to quickly figure out that there is a QR code with a table number next to it to order your drinks and food. I ordered The Irish Mint and my aunt had the Old Fashioned. We also had a toastie for a snack. The Irish Mint and Old Fashioned were very good - probably the best drinks we had during our Ireland trip. They were strong and had good flavor. The 2 drinks came out to about $38 euros, so pricier than the average pub in Dublin. The Toastie was delish! It was double stacked, had a good amount of cheese, was full of flavor, and had a nice crispy to it too. The sauces was also good and complemented the flavors of the toastie, The pickle was extra good. I was not expecting to have such a good toastie, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pub atmosphere was fun. The live music was back to back. One musician finished up and another 2 were setting up. People sang along to the music and made it feel very lively. The decor was very festive with lots and lots of Christmas decorations all over the bar, particularly in the ceiling. Overall, we had a good experience. The restaurant was vibey and fun. The food and drinks are delicious. The prices are much higher than your average pub. My biggest issue was not being greeted or helped to get table.
