Honestly this place is hit or miss. The first time I went it was great. I went back a year later on Cinco de mayo and it was less than expected. I ordered a margarita that tasted like rubbing alcohol. My gyro was great but my husband's lobster ravioli was horrific, it looked like vomit and he couldn't even find the ravioli. There was only one waitress that was doing anything and the others didn't seem like they knew how to communicate to a person. They were hiring so they might have been short staffed which would explain why we had to wait 45 minutes to order and another hour to get our food. Maybe we caught them on an off night but honestly at a business that has a pretty good reputation it was sad that our experience wasn't great. Hopefully they hire more staff because a year ago we had a great time there. read more

I seriously can't say enough about Mediterranean on 33. My family gathered last night for my grandmother's birthday and I loved it once again. The food is so fresh, our food came out a little slowly but we were a large party and no one was bothered that they diligently prepared each person's order. This is Lancaster's under-appreciated gem. The service we had last night was also spectacular. Not only did our waitress stay on top of the orders of 13 individuals but she kept drinks full and was incredibly kind and accommodating. Not only that but the kitchen sent out a new salad for me, on their own volition because they realized that they hadn't kept out the tomato and cucumber as I requested. Very few people own up to their own mistakes, and fewer still when the issue isn't brought up by the offended. I'm glad Lancaster has Mediterranean on 33 as one of its finest restaurants, great food and excellent service! read more

We have been want to stop there the last few months, I'm glad we did, my girl friend had the Philly Cheese Sub, and I had the Ruben Sandwich both were excellent. While we were there we also took a look at there banquet room which holds close to 70 people. So we booked a Birthday party. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I've been in the area for 4 years now, and have frequented this restaurant with my family at both the current location on 33, as well as their earlier Main Street street location. I have to say, it's our hands-down favorite in the area and out. The food and service is always fantastic- I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I've had every one of their gyros (and even mixed them up a bit at times- try a veggie gyro with tzaziki or their amazing creamy garlic dressing in place of tahini if you're a veteran to Med on 33, it's a nice way to spice it up!) and it's hard to choose a favorite- you really can't go wrong with any of them. I know that favorite falafel can be a very personal choice, but even after living in New England for 8 years I found my favorite falafel here. If you're debating, just go now- you won't be disappointed. read more

The only reason this isn't a perfect 5 is because the manager has a bad reputation for discriminating against mothers in her hiring process and straight up won't hire you if you say "yes" when she asks if you have kids. What a disaster. Walked in at 5:45 pm on Saturday, WITH a reservation. By 6:15 we had drinks. No appetizers or dinner ordered. No server inquiries. Spoke to Mrs. Owner. Bachelorette party in back room, she was handling. One other server for dining room and bar area. Told her we needed to be out the door by 7:30. She advised it was not doable as she had instructed the one server to slow down taking orders in the dining room as the kitchen was busy with the private party. She said she could muster out some salads and appetizers for us, then disappeared until 6:30, when we asked for our checks and walked out the door. Mr. Owner(?)/bartender could have pitched in, but he did not. Cannot speak to the quality of the food. read more

Took at least 5 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us even though at least 5 waitresses and others walked by. Once seated, the most uncomfortable booth ever. Again, at least 10 min until someone came to our table, with multiple waitresses walking by constantly. Finally ordered water and lemonade, glasses overfilled to the point of spilling all over the table but we didn't have any napkins to wipe the sticky wet table. Appetizers, falafel and calamari, were mediocre, at best. Gyros with meat severely undercooked. We didn't have a designated waitress so when one stopped by she clearly didn't know what drinks we needed refills on. They were not busy at all, Saturday evening with maybe 4-5 other tables.... Brought a check without asking if we needed anything else. Gave them another chance and orders chocolate mousse, yet from another waitress who wasn't pleased that we ordered something else; mousse was ok. This was easily one of the most atrocious experiences I've had in awhile. I'm so sorry to Lancaster that this is their "premier" Greek restaurant. We walk in, the waitress takes 10 minutes to finally catch up with us, she's rude and doesn't have a care in the world. It didn't take long for our food to come out, but somehow it's cold. I ordered Falafel with Greek fries, and Mediterranean sampler, I didn't get either, instead for falafel I get small over cooked balls of nothing, literally no Greek fries, and no sampler. My friend ordered significantly undercooked calamari. During our meal we were delighted to the sounds of the waitress and the chef arguing the entire time, and then when an obnoxious inspector came in the banter only increased. When we were done, an by that I mean when we were done poking at it, we told the waitress about the items we missed, she then goes off about it being the chefs fault (I'm sure she couldn't take responsibility for her own faults) and starts telling the other waitress about it. Overall if I could give it below a one I would, but if I were to rate the amount of stars based on how many issues there were, this "restaurant" would get a few hundred stars. Refilled his drink and mine had only. 1/4 left told waitress I had the same ignored me and refilled the drink of my friend and never came back for mine. I found a piece of metal in my lobster ravioli from a cleaning brush of some sort when taking a bite. They were only gonna give me 10% off my meal. I got them to take 50% off because i had eaten half the dish. After I left I became aggravated. I think my meal should've got wiped out my bill completely. That is ridiculous and dangerous in my opinion. I will never go there again and I do not recommend Mediterranean on 33!!! read more

We have just moved to Lancaster from Pickerington where they had the best Greek food restaurant (Greek Star Bar & Grill) so we were excited to try this new place. Unfortunately it was terrible :( The Gyros were bland, dry and very disappointing. The Greek fries were just plain SAD. They literally were fresh cut fries with a little bit of feta cheese and some kind of sauce on the side. It wasn't your typical greek fries :(. The best thing about the food we ordered were their season fries. We won't be spending money here again. read more

We Love this place! The gyros are delicious and we have always had great service! This is one of our favorite places in Lancaster!!!

My family and I LOVE this place. We frequented this restaurant when they were on Main St. and followed them to their new location. I always order a Gyro Pito and onion rings, and they are delicious and more than enough food for a meal. I never leave hungry. The service is also really quick and the staff is always pleasant and wonderful with my young child. They even have a party room in the back that we used for a birthday party and it was a nice area away from the main part of the restaurant so we really got to spend some quality time with our guests and weren't worried about being too loud around the other diners. Very reasonable prices and a relaxing atmosphere. We have also ordered the fried calamari before and it was delicious! Baklava for dessert is really delicious too!! read more

Today lunch at Mon33. . .gyro & fresh cut fries. The gyro plate arrived and looked great. One bite told me the meat was spoiled! Truly funky smell and warmish, not hot at all. One side of meat was grayish, the other looked more normal. Cameron was great about taking it back and I ordered the Philly Steak sandwich instead. It came and was acceptable but way too salty. Don't know who the cooks are, can't call them Chefs, but they should be fired. I will never eat here again, they won't be in business much longer. Worst Mediterranean food on the planet. read more

I went here to eat for the first time today and could not get anyone to acknowledge me. I stood at the host stand for 10 minutes and no one said a word to me, so I moved to the bar. While I was at the bar servers came up to the bar to roll silverware and fill drinks. Not once did they acknowledge my presence. They crazy thing is that they were not even busy and I also connected eyes with them numerous times, and nothing! After 20 minutes I decided to leave because I was upset that they could not say,"be with you as soon as I can." I wish I could have tried the food. read more

Food was excellent....my server/bar tender amazing....:-) I do have a few complaints however...short staffed...manager should not be walking through customers on Bluetooth...nor taking up booths with Skype and movie time while customers are trying to eat and your workers need you for coupon codes,change for money etc... other than that everything was great. read more

I used to come here frequently but after not having gone in a few months we came for dinner tonight. We were expecting a wait being we ate out on a Friday night, but after today I can definitely say I won't be returning. To start off it took us almost 30 minutes to get our appetizers, we were given the wrong food and appetizers several times. It took us an hour and a half to get served our meals. One of our meals was severely over cooked and had been sitting for what looked to be about two hours. When we brought this to the attention of our server she proceeded to tell us that there was no problem with it it looked delicious and then cut it open and as she was cutting it proceeded to say that it was overcooked. My meal was cooked well and looked appetizing but as I ate my meal The waitress would comment on how fast I was eating and how much I had eaten every time she returned to the table. most of the servers were awful did not know they were doing, they did not appear to be busy but there was a party in the back so we were tolerant. read more
