I had questions about rolling walkers and when she told me they didn't accept insurance I asked if that included Medicare & followed that by telling her it should rightly be paid for by Worker's Compensation but that I really didn't know if that would happen. As soon as I said that she told me to call Manchester Medical, which I hadn't heard of. I asked where it was located and she said "down by the fire house." When I asked which one she got huffy, told me she was busy and actually hung up on me. I have no idea if this will be paid for by ANY insurance but if it isn't, I will certainly remember her attitude and never purchase another thing there. Also they have now reduced themselves to a "Home Healthcare & Shoe Repair" store! When she answered the phone I only heard the last part and thought I had the wrong number! What medical/surgical supplies and shoe repair have to do with one another I'll never know but that woman needs to take a Retail-101 class.

When I called Monroe Pharmacy to complain, and asked for a reimbursement, they explained that the reason for this was that they do not get the manufacturer's discount that larger chain type pharmacies (CVS and Walgreens) get. I wish they would have been transparent all along and told me that I would be paying more with them as a result, $65 more. I cannot afford to pay more than my insurance copay. Also, I want to feel safe and trust the pharmacy I do business with. Now, I understand that it's important to shop around and make sure the pharmacy you choose is offering you the best price in accordance to your insurance and neighboring pharmacies.
