Another updated review:…read more Before moving to Tennessee from San Diego, I've honestly never thought about being able to purchase meats directly from a farm. It's amazing: freshness, quality, and taste. We generally do about 2-3 big orders a month. Here's a general list: GRASS-FED BEEFS: -filet mignon -ribeye -sirloin -New York strip -tri-tip -beef rib slabs -ground beef All great!! Usually do about 4-6 of each, every time we order. GRAIN FED: -wagyu short ribs -wagyu tri tip Both very tasty! PORK: -3/4" pork chops in packs of two (we eat these once a week, so good!!) -2" pork chops on our hungrier days are great -spare ribs -baby back ribs We love and enjoy all their ribs. Seafood: -salmon (I wish they were a bit larger but it was good) -gulf shrimps (my fav from here, they're big and we usually grab about 3-4 bags each purchase) Last time we came the owner wasn't there but I believe his daughter and her bf were. I'm not sure if there's a difference but each filets I added on were different price and they charged me $17-$20 each one. I don't remember paying that much for them before but maybe it's something new. Besides that customer service is always great. The bbq seasonings, steak seasonings, and their bbq sauce are pretty delicious as well.

"Quality and fair pricing"…read more OK. I'm in town with the in-laws for the Christmas holiday. Yesterday we stopped at Hampton meats to get a few steaks and some hamburger, and the first thing that I noticed was that the meat is higher than Whole Foods at Whole Foods in Green Hills Nashville. But it's not grass-fed. When we got home, we fired up the grill, my father-in-law cooked some steaks, and he knows how to cook steaks. They looked great, they were tough as nails. OK. I'll let that pass because it happens sometimes. But today, when my husband went to the refrigerator to get out the hamburger, it was grey. I'm attaching a few pictures. (Please note that the iPhone doesn't truly show how gray this meat is. It seems to have added a little bit of color, but this stuff was grey ) Needless to say, the whole family was a little irked, and if I did live here, I would never go back. This meat is horrible, overpriced, and only God knows how old it really is. One more complaint is the girl at the deli counter. I don't know if she didn't wanna work on Christmas Eve day, but she had an attitude that put me right off. She acted like it was a big pain in her fat butt to slice a few pounds of cheese for me. And while she didn't throw it on the counter, she certainly didn't put it down nicely and she didn't say thank you. I was told since Hampton's changed hands, the quality and the service has been subpar. I can attest to that.

I just got an awesome 4-bone slab of beef short ribs, a well-marbled #2.25 chuck roast, and two…read morepackages of the sorriest "center-cut" pork chops I have ever seen.

I don't think I have ever felt so disrespected by a supermarket employee. Today I went at 10:00 a.m. to get a prime rib for Christmas dinner they did not have a big one they had three little Prime ribs after 15 minutes we were able to finally track down the butcher who said yeah they can get one come back in 2 hours . I ended up buying the three small ones only getting one at the sale price spending well over $20 more . I think from here on out I will just have to do my grocery shopping somewhere else because it's obvious this store does not take care of their customers as I said every single time I've had an issue trying to find a butcher and then they are just rude and mean I could have went and got a prime rib elsewhere for even less than what I ended up paying at Kroger the only reason I went there was they were on sale but seeing how I had to buy it the way I did I spent well over what I wanted to I think the store needs to be revamped get some good real butchers in there and then maybe it would be worth going back to .
