The grill = 2 stars has really changed the last few times I went in for a burger, which honestly has been a while. Been meaning to update my review - sorry folks. Burgers feels like an after thought now and don't have the same taste as they used to so I just don't recommend anymore. The store = 5 Stars for sure. This is a butcher shop and grocery. There are plenty tables in front area for dining. People were very friendly and helpful. Side options are a bag of chips, potato salad or pasta salad. The burgers were great! read more

You will not get a better burger in Murray! The ratio of toppings to burger make every bite perfect. The flavor is fresh and worth the wait if they get a little backed up. Well the place looked pretty busy so we ran an errand and went after the lunch rush. Not a soul ask if they could help us so we stood at the register and still nothing happened. I only went based off of yelp. We decided we just wanted a good ole cheeseburger. Just a few tables to sit at but luckily a man eating a lunch meat sandwich pointed us to the meat counter where we asked for a menu. We just wanted the 4 ounce sliders so we ordered and we waited for over an hour to get a luke warm super thick burger on a frozen roll that was stale and weighed too much. Sliders had half a piece of cheese and were pink inside. We both were starving but I didn't finish mine because clearly they baked the meat and chopped it into the size of 4 or 8 ounces. The meat had not been seasoned and certainly not freshly cooked. They had a grill full of meat and you couldn't smell anything because they were just warming up the baked meat and more worried about door dash than us. The cold items were in cases that were not very cold and soo much mayonnaise it was hard to tell one thing from the other. I wouldn't buy anything in the meat counter based on the nasty taste of our cold half raw unseasoned burgers. GROSS. I won't want a good ole burger for quite a while. Incredibly kind staff! Food made on the grill is delicious and I highly recommend the fried bologna sandwich!!! Great meat cuts as well, and the staff is super friendly and willing to help out with any tasks/questions. Love this place! And they have gigantic potatoes inside. Lots of seating, fountain and bottled drinks galore, clean bathrooms and lots of chop options. read more

Off The Hoof has the best meat you could ask for. The restaurant part of it was Great till now. Whole new crew cooking. I've never waited more than 10 minutes for my burgers. Today, was a 33 min. wait from the time they took my order till the time it was handed to me. That's not including the 6 min wait to place the order. It was to-go. Got home and both my wife's and my burger were raw. The outside looked cooked, but the inside was raw. I have pictures to prove it. I'll go there to by the meat but will not order from the restaurant till I know they have their crap together. read more

Stopped in today 7/15/2022, 11:30am. The ladies behind the meat/ordering counter very friendly and attentive. Having never been here b4, I asked one of the ladies what she would recommend- ribeye sandwich. We'll the verdict, it was GREAT, perfectly cooked and FRESH. Then the lady who cooked it had enough pride in her work to walk out and ask me how was the sandwich, which I told her AWESOME. certainly a place I'll be back to for lunch. read more

Was in town and was told Off the Hoof was a must go. Very clean. Nice butcher and deli (Boars Head deli meats). You can eat in too! Wonderful sandwiches. Friendly staff. Fantastic girl rung me out. DON'T COME HERE IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH. CALL AHEAD OR SOMETHING. The food is good don't get me wrong. You 100% get high quality cuts here. The only thing I didn't like about my most recent visit here is that I had to wait 45 minutes for them to cook some bacon for my sandwich?? Upon entering I heard the staff members say they had a few burgers left before they had to patty out more. Totally understandable, we were next to order so shouldn't be too much of a problem, right? Meanwhile (what appeared to be the owner) had two of his friends pull up, order, and receive their food while he was cutting up with them the entire time. I had ordered before the two friends of his, two DIFFERENT customers, and had time to walk around and shop for meat before anyone even said "hey sorry it'll be a minute". I ended up waiting so long I gave up and told them to forget the bacon just please give me my sandwich. Still another 10 minutes after that before I got my order. POOR VISIT because the "big dog" chooses favorites and pushes their orders through first. Won't be back, but thanks for the 45 minute wait on a damn cheeseburger. read more

Amazing burgers! The hamburger meat was fresh and perfectly cooked. Very juicy and flavorful. These are big burgers too. I ordered a double and it was way more than I could eat. They don't do fries, but they also sell a variety of chips, potato salad, macaroni salad, etc. The place also sells butchered meats and a few other items. Basically its a meat market with a small selection of other items to sell as well as a deli. Its definitely a great place to check out. I highly recommend the burgers! read more

Made a beef tenderloin for Thanksgiving and had never bought one before. I called Kroger to see if they could help me - because we only had three people and wanted something small - and they really only had options that were really expensive. Here, I was able to call up, ask questions, and get a lot of help. And when I showed up I got even more help. I'll definitely be going back for pretty much anything deli- or butcher-related. Went to Off the Hoof Saturday morning at about 9:30 a.m. to buy some filets for my family. Meat case was about empty. Asked clerk for some filets and told that they would be cutting meat later in the day. Seems like a meat market ought to have meat for sale. Perhaps if they came in early to prepare their inventory they would be able to serve their customers. Went to Kroger and got excellent meat that was $5.00/lb cheaper. read more
