Top 10 Restaurant / Bar in Western Kentucky. Great Drinks, service with a smile and fresh protein. Live Music on occasion, always college and or professional sports on many TV's. Did I mention their menu, very broad, don't quote me, but, Frog Legs to Crab Legs, Local Beef, Great BBQ, smoky and perfect bark. Seafoods to Sandwiches, Salads and always Fresh Vegetables. I honestly can't comment on their deserts, due to their great meals and large portions. My preferred deserts are usually Aperitif cocktails, or Small Batch Bourbons, this is Bourbon Country. Cocktails, Shots or just large quantities of adult beverages. Always great, always an event! Thank You Keg for your reliability and consistency.

We are from the Midwest and down here to pack up family and move them home. Stopped in for some good southern food and this hit the spot. The food was soooo good. Service was great, wish I had that southern accent! The only bummer part, they sell their spices and sauces and unfortunately what we wanted they were out of.

I seek out local restaurants when I'm traveling and I really enjoyed The Keg! While I had a little trouble deciding what to order, I went with the Cajun sampler. It was a great choice! The andouille sausage and boiled and grilled shrimp was on point. The gumbo was hitting!

Food was great and fairly quick. I had the Blackened Red Fish, Greens and Autumn Berry Salad. The fish had a nice crisp on the edges, but nice and flaky. Nice flavor, but not spicy. The greens had great flavor and chopped finely. The salad was sweet and a nice offset to the savory fish and greens. Others in my party had the gumbo, salmon, jambalaya, steak and BBQ and everything was delicious.

My brother Chris bought me a container of the blackened seasoning. It is hands-down, the best blackened seasoning I've ever used and tasted. I am using it on everything in my cast-iron skillet. I definitely need to visit this place when I'm in town.

WHAT A HIDDEN GEM!!! I love it. The food was actually so good and their prices are so hard to beat. Our waitress was awesome and it's such a cool spot. We will most definitely come back soon!

We found ourselves in Murray last night, #1 on the list of dinner restaurants is The Keg, so that's where we headed. This is a restaurant built for crowds, and you can tell this by the pace of all the servers that they are taking care of business! Our server was so accommodating and sweet. I discovered that I don't care much for Abita beer, but the Murray Slurry was delicious and strong. We waited a full 40 minutes after ordering our food until it came, which I think is just inexcusable. We were told there was a reunion party of 70 in the adjoining room. Despite this, the food was delicious when it finally came. I had the blackened catfish with cheese grits and it was divine. 3 stars for the wait on the food.

We had great service and enjoyed everything we had. We will be back. They have angry orchard on draft which is always a plus.

Counter help and waitresses weren't really friendly. Food was pretty good. It had been sitting a while. I would get good to go from here.

On Memorial Day Weekend we called for a reservation and the lady on the phone said that they may…read moreclose early due to business being slow, but if we were there before 8:PM they would happily serve us. Making it in the door just before 8:PM to be seated was most likely not a good idea, we took our chances and were seated in the main dinning room, a lovely place. We placed our appetizer order while looking over the menu. Due to the fact that my sweetheart has an allergy to Gluten and most of the appetizers were fried we chose the Seared Scallops, now as not to waste time and knowing they wanted to close early we made our dinner choices, the 14oz Sirloin cooked Medium and the Seared Ahi Tuna with the the marinade on the side as these marinade usually have soy sauce in them and most soy sauces have gluten. Now our appetizer came to the table Fried Scallops ? We looked at the plate and looked at each other, then we asked to see the menu again, we were sure that we ordered the Seared Scallops, the owner came over and asked if there was a problem and we asked about the Scallops and told her about my Sweetie's gluten allergy, she stated that you can have the scallops Seared or Fried, she never offered to take them back and prepare them seared as we were sure that we ordered or to prepare something else for us. Now comes the dinner, my Steak was cooked perfectly medium, but, the Ahi Tuna was over cooked. Needless to say my sweetheart did not have a good dinner or experience at the Brass Lantern however, we will give them another chance as we all know that anyone can have a bad day and it was not all bad, their place is a charming spot just off of the lake. I did read on their website that the owners moved to Kentucky to open this restaurant, the husband has many years of experience in restaurant management and the wife has a bookeeping background, this must have been the bookeeper we encountered as her hospitality and customer service was not her strong suit.

Made a late reservation for New Years Eve dinner. They had no problem fitting us in and when we…read morearrived the parking lot was packed. We only waited about 5 minutes to be seated near the large fireplace. The restaurant has a country log cabin feel and we were seated near the large fireplace in the main room which was nice on this cold, rainy evening. We were waited on quickly getting drinks and then placing our orders. We both visited the salad bar which was nicely stocked and I ordered the filet medium and my wife had the twin lobster tails. Dinner came fairly quickly for the full house and my steak was cooked perfectly. Warm but pink inside and it had an open flame grilled taste. The lobster tails were large for the price, cooked so they were tender and not at all chewy. The sugar snap peas with my steak were crisp and nicely seasoned and we also received a warm loaf of brown bread with our meal. Our waitress was helped by both the hostess and another server as it seemed she had too many tables to give us too much attention but we never had to wait too long. It was funny how out of breath she was running from table to table when she did stop by. Very good meal for the price. Dinner with four beers and tip came to $80.
