A couple weeks later we were dining in the Flour Mill building, where this spot resides, and I wanted to show my son the place we met in because it was so cool with its brick arches and old world stone walls. Luckily, it was prepared for a wedding the next day and they had just finished rehearsal. It worked great as a wedding spot as well! So glad as the guy attending to the space said the elevator wouldn't have worked to let us in otherwise. A sign in one of the sub chambers states it's available for cocktail parties. This place is awesome and I would highly recommend it for your event in an old world dungeon environment.

Friends and family loved the staff. We got rave reviews for the bartender. We very much enjoyed interacting with the Event Captain and she made sure the entire event went off without a hitch. Catering was delicious. We got legitimate compliments on the food. Nobody ever remembers the food at a wedding reception but Red Rock Catering crushed it. The physical space was great - indoors and out. Chateau Rive worked with our florist, the photo booth folks, the DJ and the dessert setup to absolutely create the best arrangement possible. Our 114 guest count fit into the reception area just right. I really can't stress enough just how amazing this experience was and how fantastic everyone at Chateau Rive was.

We all want our children to have a lifetime memory, yet not have to take out a second mortgage out to make it happen. The rates were more than fair, and you get some very important amenities needed for a lovely event. My niece had her wedding here, and it was just as perfect as she hoped it would be. Bar area, a sequestered room for bride and bridesmaids, plenty of bathroom facilities, stage, lights, great sound system, ADA friendly, and even some leisure games in a back corner to occupy the young ones who always get bored with adult functions. You also get the owner. He's a good young dude, is all over the place taking care of things, and is genuinely proud of what he is bringing to the community. And, any little hiccup that might occur is quickly taken care of because....he's there. Our whole family was very impressed with him. Here is an option that I can heartily recommend for working families. Consider the MEC when you are planning your event and being budget conscious...

I predict this will become the new trendy wedding venue for people looking for an off the beaten path locale. The Lodge is located on Liberty Lake. The main home is set up on a hill, but there is a grassy meadow that you can get quite a few white tents on! It is surrounded by woods and it feels like summer camp meets quaint old estate. It seemed like it was available to rent out the big main home or smaller cabins for retreats as well.

It has become a repeated problem that seriously affects the surrounding neighbors. What is even more concerning is that, to our knowledge, the building still does not have a proper occupancy approval, despite concerns being brought to the county multiple times. Nothing meaningful seems to have been done to address the situation. As far as we can tell, there are also no wheelchair-accessible restrooms available for guests, only portable toilets outside. We understand people want a place to celebrate events, but there also needs to be responsibility, respect for neighbors, and compliance with basic safety and accessibility standards. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience.

Here is my experience: I purchased 2 VIP tickets for both Friday & Saturday events. This was to be a gift. A few days before I needed to give this gift, they cancelled the event. (But they did not really cancel. They changed the name "From the Ashes" to "Discovery Fire." I spoke with both people in charge of handling the event (the person who set everything up (From the Ashes) and the Settlers Inn person (Discovery Fire) who is now handling it. I was told that those who only bought the one day are fine but those who bought both days now had to buy again. They would NOT sell me tickets over the phone. They said I would need to go to the website again to purchase tickets. The website charges fees. The refund will not include fees. Not a big deal except I shouldn't have to pay additional fees that I have already paid. Their answer: So sorry. We cannot do anything about it. I am very angry. I have a very short time to try to find another gift for my son. Buyer beware: This event may or may not take place. IF you purchase tickets, they still may cancel the event. Customer service is very lacking. BEWARE: From the Ashes Idaho 2023 is now Discovery Fire, a live fire cooking event by Settlers Creek Events.
