I have spent so much money on GRE prep services (thousands) but this is by far the best thing that actually made a HUGE impact on my GRE score overall. I cannot say enough about Charles and his ability to teach the material. He is both passionate and constantly full of energy... that's probably an understatement. Although he sometimes goes quickly through the material, he will ALWAYS stop if you have questions on how to go about answering the questions. In addition, he is always adamant about getting the students to text him, calling, emailing, carrier pigeon-ing, with questions that pertain to the material if you are having trouble. The tricks and strategy on ways he taught me on how to approach each question on the GRE test allowed me to answer most of the questions that I struggled with. He is one of the greatest factors that allowed me to put this burden that has plagued my progression in life down like a dirty dog... so dirty... In addition, the online modules that accompany the Princeton Review is exceptional! Not only are both the presenters attractive (not bisexual) but they go over in detail on how to approach each question step-by-step which allowed me to answer most of the questions that came up on the GRE. I can't speak for those who had bad experience from the MCAT or any other test but, regarding the GRE, Princeton Review is what allowed me to get through this test (with the addition of memorizing an a@@ load of flashcards) and able to finally apply to the graduate schools that will allow me to finally be able to call myself doctor!!!

Prior to taking the SATs his only standardized test experience was the PSAT & without studying scored 1360. I had big hopes for him doing great in his SATs so we went the a PR private tutor ($3200, not an insignificant amount for us) as insurance. I was a bit surprised when he took PRs initial test assessment (1220) but not overly concerned. I figured with private tutoring he'd vastly improve because he had never seen a single SAT question/test. The PR Westwood private tutor dept manager...very professional & always responded quickly & thoroughly. Five stars The PR private tutor...very professional. The studying/homework requirements struck me as a bit lax, I would have expected a heavier workload. I also would have liked a bit more communication especially if there was any inkling that results would underwhelm. Four stars Results...my son took the SAT twice & both times was mid 1300s which was disappointing. To the Westwood office credit, I think they too were disappointed with the first result & offered six additional hours of free tutoring to prep for a 2nd attempt. But the results were near identical, no material improvement. Why two stars? The response from the Student Guarantees office. I thought there was a +150 pt refund guarantee for the tutoring services (so did the Westwood office) but the Student Guarantee office rejected my request. According to them, they take a baseline (1220 for my son) then "We'll then compare your starting score to the score you received on the official test." Fair enough, they don't state what that means. According to the Student Guarantees manager when I asked if PR would be satisfied with their services if my sons score went from 1220 to 1230 under the $3200 private tutoring program, he replied "Yes that is correct, any score increase satisfies the term of the money back guarantee, for the Standard tutoring package." Wow, how many parents would fork over $3200 knowing that? I'm not trying to be trivial but I would have expected a more empathetic & reassuring response from a company that touts their focus on customer results & satisfaction.

He got back to me quickly and was extremely accommodating. Plus, his rate is phenomenal. (Psst: it's a steal for a tutor of Vik's quality) He scheduled multiple appointments with me, and was even able to change a few to in-person when I requested that. I recommend having at least your first couple sessions in person so that he can see how you approach problems and better diagnose where you're going wrong. My biggest regret is not working with him sooner. He has a straightforward, easy approach. Regardless, he quickly saw areas I could improve, and helped me see a 10 point boost in my practice tests with only about 5 sessions. Of course, I did implement his recommendation of daily study time. Thanks Vik - can't wait to report back my November score!

My practice score at the time was 156 and I know that's good but not good enough for UCLA and USC. After my one session I immediately signed up for 3 a week which has been perfect for me. Since then my practice scores have gone up into the 165s. Hovik is super helpful and a really clear communicator. After getting to know him I found out that he has taught in college as well.. I really recommend him to anyone that has bad scores or even good scores trying to take their score up a notch. (He took the LSAT once and got a 179!!) trust me you will be in good hands haha

I was working with Hailey on a Veritas Course prep for GMAT, and got a 770. A few thoughts below…read morebut tldr my success was not credited to Veritas Prep - 1. Before you start this course. If you are scoring above 700, I would not recommend this course as it spends a LOT of time on basic, pretty easy questions. 2. The pace of this class is S.L.O.W - the burden on the instructor is that she has to address all questions on the online 'chat'. That slows everything down, with people who have not done their homework affecting the progress of everyone else. 3. I give this review 3 stars because I loved the resources Veritas provides. There is enough to keep you busy every week, challenging questions, and covers all 'types' of questions. The practice tests are also hard and challenge you to think beyond the superficial. 4. Hailey was cool & so was her TA. I appreciated her help, her determination to make class fun, and her prompt replies to emails with follow-up questions. In conclusion, if you are already a high-performer and looking for a 20-30 point increase, I would point to Magoosh or if you got the cash, then a private tutor.

Veritas…read morePrep came up pretty often, and almost all of the ones from LA had the same comment, sign up for Ravi's class. So I did. And now that I've finished, I have one word of advice -sign up for Ravi's class. Ravi teaches the material in a fun, straight-forward, and very easy to understand way. The class taught me not just how to master the material, but specifically (and very importantly) the strategies needed to score high. In all of my past education from elementary to university, I have never had a teacher as effective as Ravi. You can tell he knows everything backwards and forwards. If you doubt his credentials, you should know he has both an MBA and a JD. There's really nothing else that can be said. Well he's also really cool. So there's that.

Before I signed up: Early in January this year, I emailed BP if they offered student discount. They did but you had to go to their on campus event, which I did. And I emailed them asking if I was eligible to receive discount. The team member Krysta replied me and asked my name so she could verify my name on their sign-in sheet. She couldn't find my name (don't know why but I did) so she rejected to give me a discount code. Didn't really feel she's helpful. One month later, when I almost wanted to sign up another prep course company, I received their email about promotion code for signing up their course. I used the code but there's a bug on my account and I couldn't see the course showed on the home page. The other team members, who were really friendly and responded to my question fast. During the prep course months, they are very open to my feedback. BTW, I personally really like the recorded online course as secondary study materials. They just need to have someone really proofread and double check the courses, small errors like bugs in the videos, typos, notes doesn't match the instructor's words, suggestions on improvement for the courses. For the live online course: you have access to two live courses, recorded courses, homework (with video explanations), and office hours, which are host by different instructors (I found my favorite instructors there! love their office hours) I don't feel there are much different than in person class. I can enjoy eating my dinner with my pajama while taking the class. I can come back and rewatch the live recorded courses if I have any questions on certain topics. The instructors I have Jelena Woehr as my instructor. She's nice. However, I found that her voice is tooooo sofffttt that almost makes me want to fall asleep every time I take her class. She doesn't have many notes from herself like other instructors (will talk about it later) I didn't really learn much from her, because mostly she goes over the book. Missed 3 or 4? out of 12 courses (replaced by Dylan, who I found is the best! ). For other instructors, my reviews for them are based on office hours mostly. I love office hours and I think it will be a great if BP can open some free office hours for people who want to sign up the course and find the instructor they like. Jelena's course time was the best that can work for my schedule when I signed up, and I had no clue which instructor is better for live online course. If I knew whose class I wanted to take, I would sign up for the instructor's courses that I was sure to take. - Instructor Dylan Gadek: 5 stars! he sub for Jelena 3 courses and I found that he has great knowledge of what he's teaching. Funny guy. his class is very structure. has lots of his own notes and methods. you clearly know what you expected to learn from each of his class. I am still taking ALL his office hours. He's been teaching LSAT for years, and he used to teach MCAT. I found that LR & RC are his strongest part of teaching. - Instructor Chris Whyte: 5 Stars. He and Dylan are the top 1 instructor at BP from my opinion. He's really good at LG and RC. really knows what he's talking about and well prepared for every office hours. - Instructor Kyle: hmmmm..... I took his office hours for digital LSAT 101 topic. I am not sure if he's not prepared or what, the whole video, he seemed like really don't know what happened. 90% of time he said: hmmm.. but.. yea..." and he said "I don't what I am talking about lol " I had to use 1.5 x SPEED to listen his whole video. In the video he seemed like he's just reading the scripts? not really well prepared for this office hours. If I watch this video before signing up the course, I would not choose him as my instructor because I really don't want to spend money on instructors who are not prepared for the course. OMG, I wrote too much.. I need to take a break. The class is almost over, but I will still do their monthly subscription, just for their office hours. I will come back and updates the rest of the other instructors and this live online course reveiw. They did a free assessment for us, and they customized a program which was delivered in the mail a few days after we signed up. It was nice knowing that I was speaking to a real teacher when we had questions, so we always felt confident in the service, and they delivered what they promised. It was a 10 week course, and it cost $1,199. They tracked progress, sent progress reports, and we were able to pay-as-we-go which helped since SAT prep is not cheap. The videos and the answer explication are essential for understanding the question. 2) The booklet course work: this is what you bring with you to classes. It was helpful for me to reference back to when I wasn't in class or if I needed a quick review of the lesson I was studying. 3) The instructor: Ross Rineheart was an amazing instructor. He made the 3 hour courses every Tues and Thurs night bearable by silly puns and drawings he used to explain a concepts. I highly recommend this course because they were helpful getting me to understand the foundation of the LSAT exam.

The entire process feels deceptive and dishonest. Don't be fooled by the marketing they will take your money and make it nearly impossible to qualify for their guarantee.
