You get what you pay for. He provided materials, guidance, and study plans so that when I was studying I was focused and less overwhelmed because the study plan had already been created for me by someone who has a proven track record. I am also 99% sure he has read every single LSAT study material out there making him uniquely capable of pointing his students in the correct direction. He is also different from other tutors in that he adapts the pace of the session to really maximize the hour. I always felt comfortable asking to slow down and review a question more in-depth, but we also went rapid-fire at times to maximize each minute. Jesse also made me feel extremely confident going into the test when in the past I had felt extremely anxious/stressed. Cannot recommend it enough!! Advice on how to maximize sessions -- come with a plan and what you want to accomplish. I recommend only focusing on one section type/hr to really maximize learning. Ask questions and speak up when you don't understand even the smallest detail in a question, Jesse can break up questions to an extremely micro level so you understand the logical functions of each word. This is not something you can get on a forum or do yourself, even if you are a very high scorer. Lean on Jesse for advice on how to study! This was most useful to me, I would ask him a lot of questions on how to approach drilling and reviewing. Understand that the studying still falls on you -- Jesse can lighten the load, but you still do the heavy lifting. Lastly, to back up my review with numbers, my diagnostic was 155, I scored in the low 160s on two actual tests prior to hiring Jesse. After working with Jesse for only 3 sections (diagnostic LR, LR tutoring, RC tutoring) across 3.5 months, I scored 180 on the Aug 2021 LSAT.

Before I signed up: Early in January this year, I emailed BP if they offered student discount. They did but you had to go to their on campus event, which I did. And I emailed them asking if I was eligible to receive discount. The team member Krysta replied me and asked my name so she could verify my name on their sign-in sheet. She couldn't find my name (don't know why but I did) so she rejected to give me a discount code. Didn't really feel she's helpful. One month later, when I almost wanted to sign up another prep course company, I received their email about promotion code for signing up their course. I used the code but there's a bug on my account and I couldn't see the course showed on the home page. The other team members, who were really friendly and responded to my question fast. During the prep course months, they are very open to my feedback. BTW, I personally really like the recorded online course as secondary study materials. They just need to have someone really proofread and double check the courses, small errors like bugs in the videos, typos, notes doesn't match the instructor's words, suggestions on improvement for the courses. For the live online course: you have access to two live courses, recorded courses, homework (with video explanations), and office hours, which are host by different instructors (I found my favorite instructors there! love their office hours) I don't feel there are much different than in person class. I can enjoy eating my dinner with my pajama while taking the class. I can come back and rewatch the live recorded courses if I have any questions on certain topics. The instructors I have Jelena Woehr as my instructor. She's nice. However, I found that her voice is tooooo sofffttt that almost makes me want to fall asleep every time I take her class. She doesn't have many notes from herself like other instructors (will talk about it later) I didn't really learn much from her, because mostly she goes over the book. Missed 3 or 4? out of 12 courses (replaced by Dylan, who I found is the best! ). For other instructors, my reviews for them are based on office hours mostly. I love office hours and I think it will be a great if BP can open some free office hours for people who want to sign up the course and find the instructor they like. Jelena's course time was the best that can work for my schedule when I signed up, and I had no clue which instructor is better for live online course. If I knew whose class I wanted to take, I would sign up for the instructor's courses that I was sure to take. - Instructor Dylan Gadek: 5 stars! he sub for Jelena 3 courses and I found that he has great knowledge of what he's teaching. Funny guy. his class is very structure. has lots of his own notes and methods. you clearly know what you expected to learn from each of his class. I am still taking ALL his office hours. He's been teaching LSAT for years, and he used to teach MCAT. I found that LR & RC are his strongest part of teaching. - Instructor Chris Whyte: 5 Stars. He and Dylan are the top 1 instructor at BP from my opinion. He's really good at LG and RC. really knows what he's talking about and well prepared for every office hours. - Instructor Kyle: hmmmm..... I took his office hours for digital LSAT 101 topic. His prep course and videos show why the right answers are right and how to know for sure and why the wrong answers are wrong and why for all lsat sections. You can always call him or email him with specific questions. He will get right back to you. You can chose from in class, online or private lsat prep course options. His course is reasonably priced I chose self study online and it was perfect for me a single full time working mommy of one. It provided me with the flexibility to start and come back on my own schedule. There's videos showing explanations for various questions for all four sections. I brought additional books and materials online from Amazon to focus on my weakest sections logic games and logic reasoning. Nathan is extremely helpful and supportive during my longgggg and challenging journey preparing for the lsat. My previous score went up six points the last time I took it in 2015. This time I expect an even bigger score increase especially where the games and logical reasoning sections are concerned. I started noticing patterns in the way the questions were asked on the lsat and learned how identify how to answer the question by focusing on what the question is asking in the logical reasoning section specifically. He also shows the best way to diagram the rules in the logic games and making inferences. That entails not wasting time diagraming unnecessarily and and certain rules you can hold in your head. That depends on the type of logical game your working on. I am more confident in crushing these sections after reading and practicing using the logical reasoning book and Logical reasoning playbook. I enjoyed the logical game playbook the most (never thought I would say that.) by the time I got to the second time practicing the game after reading the explanation I was crushing the games the second and third time around. It became fun especially when I could look at question after diagraming and doing inferences and knowing without a doubt which answer was right and why the others were wrong. I've been struggling with the logical games for quite some time and I can say I've conquered the fears and the doubts I once had. I'm very proud of myself! I took the lsat yesterday and kicked major butt! Practice over and over again. The lsat is a challenge but you will make it too!

Nathan is constantly arguing with the speaker and using profanity (which is hilarious, btw) to keep the class alive. Actually, I think he's just being himself which makes the otherwise dry material very entertaining. Nathan scored a 179 on the LSAT so it seems he can do most of these in his sleep if he wanted to. In addition to covering the LSAT section he does a 30 minute Q&A before every class (530pm-6pm) where you can ask him anything related to law school. He is always honest about the pros and cons of pursuing a legal career which I appreciated. He also did a great job of bringing in guest speakers to answer questions you may have. Nathan is always available to his students. You can always email him and he'll get back to you. If you have a question about applying, want to send him your personal statement or got stuck on a question he's your man. I admire how available he makes himself. You can tell he wants to help people succeed on the LSAT and get into the best possible law school they can. One thing I particularly appreciated is he allowed me to pay on a payment plan. This helped ease some of the financial burden of a $500 a month class. His prices are very reasonable and worth every cent but his flexibility was very much appreciated. Nathan also offered proctored tests on the weekends so you get to mimic test conditions. I found those valuable. Unless you're an outstanding test taker my advice would be to take the class for 1-2 months. At that point you start to see the patterns in some of the logic games and get a feel for how to set them up and you may be able to recognize certain types of questions throughout the test. I 100% unequivocally recommend Fox Test prep. I researched a couple of places before choosing Nathan's class and preferred to support a local business and I can guarantee Nathan is funnier and more effective than any of the big test prep services out there. Mavin was recommended to my younger brother for his college applications. I had my skepticism…read moreinitially because I've come across many tutoring, private and institutions, that made me feel like their main goal was to make money with little emphasis on the personal success of their students. However, the price Mavin offered to help my brother with his applications and his personal statements were definitely a draw-in, so I thought, why not? The boss and staff at Mavin definitely prioritize their students' success over all else; the moment my brother was signed up, they took note of how time sensitive his applications were and worked with him to rewrite and edit his statements countless number of times (meeting in person 1-on-1 and working on it together over the web / phone) within only a couple weeks. The end result? My brother only applied to UC schools and got into every single one of them - and no, his SAT scores weren't perfect. Although my brother was only there for college applications, I can also vouch for the effectiveness of the tutors at Mavin as well. The several times I've visited the institution to drop off / pick up my brother, many times I would overhear the other ecstatic parents revving about the improvements of their kid(s), especially for SATs.
