The constant changes in teachers, cancellations, and scheduling challenges made it nearly impossible to establish any continuity or momentum in my child's SAT preparation. SAT tutoring is time-sensitive, and consistency is critical. Instead, we were left feeling that neither my child's education nor our family's time was valued. What makes this even more frustrating is the mandatory nine-session commitment. Do yourself a favor and think twice before signing up for the required nine sessions. I deeply regret making that commitment. For a service that is supposed to help students prepare for such an important exam, I expected far more professionalism, reliability, and accountability. An awful experience for our family and a huge disappointment all around. I would not recommend this tutoring school.

I searched high and low (including online tutoring sites that let you choose your tutor) the outcome was fruitless.  Tutors who swore to have years of experience either were not as familiar with the material as they claimed or could not eloquently TEACH it. Also, the companies that charged ridiculous amounts like $150/hr did not show much for it. I know this because when trying Tutor Me LA, I also hired another tutor from a high-end tutoring company and Tutor Me LA's tutor was not only cheaper but MUCH MORE proficient.  We needed a few tutors - A gmat tutor, LSAT tutor, and a Math tutor. EVERY SINGLE tutor Tutor Me LA sent over was great. Their Guarantee took any hesitancy we had about scheduling a session and now I see why. His rates get more expensive closer to finals time because everyone and their mothers suddenly decide to step it up (I've been a victim of this too..), so seriously do yourself a favor and just start with him from the beginning! Yes, Marshall does hire some students to tutor in Bridge Hall for free but it's pretty useless because they only go over homework rather than concepts. Anyways, parking is readily available right out front or in the back of the complex and is not too far from campus. Easy peasy!

The bootcamp definitely kicked my video editing skills up several notches! I wish I had taken the class much sooner haha! That being said, I'm glad I had already worked with Premiere Pro bc the bootcamp made a lot more sense. The software can be complicated, especially if you're just starting out, and the bootcamp moves fast...so it can be hard to keep up. BUT Training Connection gives you one free repeat!! You can come back and take the same class again once more - how awesome is that?? Kristian is an absolutely FANTASTIC teacher!!
