Recently, we had a groundhog dig up our lawn, under the front porch. We were living comfortably with our own very friendly Punxsutawney Sam, but a foxy fox took down our poor groundhog and took up residence in his burrows. Unfortunately, foxes carry the diseases of rabies and mange, so we had to discourage our new unwanted house guest from his new digs. We called in Mark, who was super knowledgeable on how to humanely trap a fox. Did you know they like rotisserie chicken? Lol. : ) Well, our fox outfoxed us, by getting food out of the cage and getting away. He was one smart fox, but we took the cage away and kept filling his burrows. Unfortunately, to date, my foxy fox is still hanging out front. But, I must give Mark a lot of credit. He continues to come out, put in fox repellent, and refill our critters holes. He has suggested putting a fence down below the house. But, $800 is out of my budget. So, we continue to have this fox-trot-tango-#1 interventions. I applaud Mark for continuing to help discourage my unwanted guest. Hopefully, we will win back my front porch. Mark is a really nice person and is very service oriented. While Jacob is a nice man, however what he charged and what he did at my home there is a disconnect. Jacob arrived and the first thing he did was to use my bathroom for #2. Then proceeds to take a look for 5 minutes in my finished basement and does nothing in terms of patching or any other solution. Doesn't bother to look again at the exact spot the snake previously was. When asked if there are the possibilities for others was summarily dismissed. He chose not to inspect the upstairs for penetration points or the attic if other snakes would be present. We proceed outside, points out a very obvious hole between the brick and a joint for the deck. Then walks around points out the possibility of entering where wires from the AC unit run, but does nothing to address. Walks around and gets "distracted" by fruit trees 50 ft away from the house and says "yeah i get distracted easy" Then proceeds to tell me to patch the hole and to call him back if anything enters. All of this in under 20 min. Went with him based on yelp reviews but did not get anywhere near value for a inspection/setup fee. read more

While my husband & I got rid of the first batch of squirrels by trapping them in our attic, we had no idea how they were getting in. Jacob inspected our home and set a trap near the the first place he identified on the roof where he thought they might be getting in. Sure enough, the next night he caught a pregnant female flying squirrel next to that spot. We were anxious about having the problem resolved as we were about to leave on a trip, and did not want to return to a houseful of squirrels. After a few days in which we heard no more noise in our ceiling or attic, Jacob patched the hole in the roof, and we have had no more problems. While I was a bit hesitant about calling a company with a sole worker, Jacob arrived within about 2 days of my call, and the plan he proposed was reasonable. I suspected that I had a squirrel in my attic and I wanted to get it out safely. I was looking for someone to help so I called the Master Trapper. Jacob came early the next morning, he was very friendly and professional. He climbed into the attic and found baby squirrels and a mom. The babies were so little he wrapped them in a warm towel, in a box (which he carries with him) and took them to a nearby animal hospital. Then he scared the mom squirrel out and patched up the whole in the roof so she we would not get more squirrels in the attic. I was very satisfied. Beware of Animal trapper Mike Moyer .His methods of removing animals are not humane. Maryland law requires that you don't allow squirrels to die during the removal process. He allowed a squirrel to freeze to death on a roof trap even though I reminded him an animal was trapped in there before 4 PM. I told him snow was expected and he needs to come asap. He could have have also kept the cage closer to the edge so I could have accessed it from my sun room roof which is not as high for me to get to. He broke Maryland law by being inhumane. read more
