THE PIZZA GETS ALL 5 STARS... My expectations were low, very low...But it was better than most chains... THAT IS ALL

The market will quickly become your go to place when you're at wintergreen. The market is located on the wintergreen property just down the hill from the mountain inn where you check in. It serves the resort community and local residents. You don't need any proof of staying at the resort to shop there. The market has a variety of things. Firstly, it has gas and not at an exorbitant price either. The price of gas matched what was at the bottom of the mountain. The market has the toiletries, home products, food and drink - all that you could need. It is a micro grocery store. I was able to find what I needed there. The food was actually really good, so good that I bought lunch and dinner there one day. I highly recommend the the three ridges sandwich if you like Italian sandwiches. The pizza was also really delicious. I ordered pizzas for dinner when I stopped in to get lunch. You're able to time request your order and pick up times. They only have one size of pizza, 16". Two pizzas were PLENTY to feed four people. The only drawback to me are the hours. When you're out doing activities, rushing to be back to visit the store at a certain time is tough. All the other food places at the resort were sit down and if you just wanted a grab and go place for food, the market is really your only option. If the hours for the store and the food counter could extend, I think that would suit the needs of the visitors better. Overall, great place!

I've been coming to Wintergreen for almost 20 years, including stops by The Market for gas or groceries. But only a few weeks back did I get a sandwich there. Man have I been missing out. Had the turkey Ruben Saturday, the Eagle Swoop (roast chicken breast, smoked Gouda, pepper dressing in ciabatta) Sunday, and the Rodeo Ruben today. Freshly made, generously proportioned, and delicious. The pizza is made before your eyes, is slightly buttery, no sugar in the sauce, and tasty as can be. This place is a hidden gem. If you come to WtG without eating here, your missing out.

Fattiest most disgusting chicken salad ever and that's about the easiest thing to make. Rude staff.

Horrible food. Very expensive and we got a case of water for 15$ that's insane. Don't think this place is worth it at all.

I had been excited to visit this restaurant since hearing such great things about it - it did not disappoint! The menu changes daily so check the website to ensure you like what's being offered. Most often you will. All entrées are served with a salad and bread, and the same sides of a starch and vegetable. This Saturday night I had the yellowfin tuna and it was so tender and cooked perfectly. M husband had the chicken, and while he does not prefer chicken thighs he really enjoyed his meal. We enjoyed a glass each of "house" Pinot noir and since wine is what they do very well it was a great choice since we didn't want a whole bottle. The ambience is country comfort and the service was charming and welcoming. This is after all a small town; the food quality was fresh and delicious. Will be back, and next time with friends.

Food (5/5): Best grilled cheese! We always split one and get the daily soup. We've not been disappointed. If you get a bottle of wine you pay a corkage fee. Service (5/5): Always nice service here! Ambiance (4/5): This reminds me of being in an eclectic country house. The rustic decor reminds me of a grandma- perfect for the country grandma vibe!

This location is close to Wintergreen and lots of rental cabins so if you need something you'll probably find it here. And then she won't call the woman in front or behind me mam, when she's clearly 65 years old, or just clearly looks older than me. It's a shame, but women are some of the biggest misogynists and they show their ugly selves most often in customer service. As a woman who's been told how incredibly beautiful I am my whole life, I see it most now. Infantile, disrespectful, envious sad souls that make themselves feel better about the fact that they could never be as beautiful as I am in 1 million lifetimes, by trying to tear me down as a customer at the register. It's pathetic and they can all take all their negative energy and absorb it right back into their own bodies and disrespectful minds, hearts and souls. Women like me know that you stay beautiful from a clear conscience, and that doesn't come from tearing other women down as a clerk in the store, whenever you feel mad and jealous. On top of the horribly misogynist disrespectful employees, they have two registers that are meant to be run by a clerk, and only one is ever open. They have one self check out that is never open as well. I've waited in that store for up to 40 minutes in line before because of this. They've stopped carrying all their decent products, it is just full of unhealthy junk, processed frozen, canned or boxed food. If you go in at a slow time, most often when you go to the register, nobody's there and you either have to wait or try to go find the person. They constantly close down on days they're supposed to be open, which is a direct violation of consumer law. It is a garbage shopping experience every time you go in that store except for 2 employees
