Tasty sandwiches! Had BLTCH and the other folks in my party had the Island Time and the Brisket. All were great. Well worth the visit!

I went with the breakfast crepe, which was good, but honestly couldn't compete with that pita. Renee even makes her own verde hot sauce, which was a really nice touch! For something sweet, we tried the Boston cream crepe and the peach cottage crepe. Both were delicious, but the Boston cream crepe was easily my favorite. If you haven't been to Renee's yet, you're seriously missing out--it makes brunch feel fun and special!

She made sure to let me know there were specials written on the wall in chalk. I ordered the Hawaiian pizza crepe, but instead of ham and bacon, how it's originally made, I had just pepperoni. I would have added onion, but I thought a $1 upcharge for onion was far too much, so i didn't add it on principle alone. The crepe came out pretty quickly! It was very good, my only "gripe" is that the cheese and pepperoni didn't get a lil burn to it, like a pizza would have. I love burnt cheese and a lil char on my pepperoni! My sweet crepe, I got apples, sweetened condensed milk, walnuts and whipped cream. This was also very good! Not too sweet, just sweet enough! The apples retain their heat a bit, though, and i burnt me mouth, but that's my own fault. I will definitely be coming back, probably alone again, as it's a rather tiny establishment. This is definitely a hidden gem in fxb!

It was empty inside and it took us a while to order only because everything looked so good...and there was A LOT to choose from. I chose the special fig, goat cheese, prosciutto crepe. This was delish! Daughter chose to make her own with chipotle sauce, cheeses and prosciutto. This was good, but we all decided that the chipotle sauce needed a kick. It got lost with the rest of the crepe. Sister chose a sweet crepe with ice cream and this was amazing. We all choose to share the sour cherry crepe with creme fraise and cream. Wonderful. Great food. The ladies behind the counter making the crepes weren't very welcoming though. They didn't say one word to us...the whole time we were there and we were the only ones inside. I took off a star because of the unwelcoming service.

I ordered a vegetarian crepe, and my friend got an Oreo crepe. Both were decent, but honestly pretty underwhelming. The flavors were fine, just not memorable, and definitely not something I'd go out of my way to get again. I also tried a vanilla chai latte, which was the same story--good, but nothing special. The biggest downside for me was the value. I ended up spending around $17, and it just didn't feel worth it. Between the portion size and the overall taste, it felt like something I could've easily made at home for a fraction of the price. Service was okay. The woman working there had a more straightforward, no-frills personality--not particularly warm or welcoming, but not rude either. Just very to-the-point. The space itself is also pretty small, with limited seating. It's probably best suited for quick stops or takeout rather than sitting and hanging out for a while. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't give me a strong reason to come back. If you're nearby and curious, it might be worth trying once--but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I got the build your own savory crepe option with two fried eggs, Gruyère cheese, extra goat cheese, spinach, extra tomatoes, and dill creama to put on top. The crepe instead of a tortilla option was definitely unique, but tasted light and went well with the ingredients I had chosen, not overpowering it at all but being the nice burrito casing it should be. The veggies were all fresh and the tomatoes were red and they actually gave me extra which was nice...most places won't add extra when you ask for it. The eggs were cooked well, though I wish they had another way of cooking them as an option for the build your own crepe, as they have scrambled eggs available for one other savory crepe. The service was great as they also added extra goat cheese inside my crepe as well as adding the two sides I paid extra for. Most places won't look at the notes and so I ordered two sides just in case, but I didn't end up needing them. They were quite generous with their extras. The creama dill sauce topped off the crepe quite well, and was a tangy, creamy addition to the meal. Their sauces had pretty decent portions, so even those like me who love their extra sauce will find one enough. You are definitely getting value for your money as the crepe was as long as my fork and super wide. IT WAS HUGE! I had to save half for later, so it was like getting two meals in one. TLDR: I highly recommend going to Clifton Cafe for your brunch needs! The food is fresh, delicious and has enormous portions, which will have you taking home a to go bag. Their take on food is unique and a refreshing change for breakfast, or brunch. I will be coming back to try more dishes!
