We hosted my family reunion with many diverse eaters including children and everyone raved about the food AND went back for more! The smoked pulled pork was not overly saucy or sweet, and incredibly moist. The brioche buns were a perfect compliment. But ohhh the beer brined chicken thighs were perfection! Moist, flavorful and practically falling off the bone..no knife needed! Sides of creamy Mac & cheese, decadent beans loaded with flavor and bacon and not dripping with sauce letting the beans shine, and the salt potatoes that came with a creamy cheese sauce that not overly rich to drizzle on and with bacon pieces to top them. We have a potato farmer in the family and his family said the best salt potatoes they have eaten so high praise! Everyone was asking who did this amazing catering and couldn't sing their praises enough! I loved how wonderfully everything was packaged and wrapped when I picked up my order, and how easy and creative they are to work Thank you again for making such a huge impression on our family with your culinary skill and attention to detail! I stopped in at Annette's for breakfast recently. The place was steady with several groups of diners arriving for Sunday breakfast. Annette's seems like the place to be for locals from Constantia and Cleveland. I took a seat at an open table and the waitress arrived with menu. They had a few specials posted on the board and I ordered the Country Omelet Special ($9.99) and a glass of ice water. The food arrived hot 15 minutes later. The portion of food was filling, which was comprised of a folded soft egg sheet filled with shredded hash brown potatoes, sliced ham, onions, and topped with melted cheese (I chose pepper jack) and two thick slices of homemade buttered wheat toast, mixed fruit jam packets on the table. We ordered the steak tips main and the chicken riggies main. Each came with a salad and a small loaf of bread for the whole table to share. Salads were fresh and crunchy. Bread was fresh and soft. Portions were massive and the riggies were a bit hit. The steak was overdone, but ok. The gravy on top however was an odd color and texture without much flavor other than a slight sour tang. The dish would have been better served without the gravy. In any case, we were too full for dessert.
