After going to sydney for 8 months, the past two haircuts have been absolutely terrible!! I really don't understand how a stylist can go from doing a really good job to the worst haircut ive received and suddenly the prices drastically increased ?!! At my appointment yesterday Sydney told me she supposedly couldn't honor my request to color my hair all over with the color she does my highlights. Then proceeded to tell me if she did she wouldn't have enough time to do so. Then she tells me that she gives me a discount on my haircut, and from the first of the year the haircuts went up from 33. to 66. In the salon?!! The final price I paid was a bit over 240.!!! I have a very short pixie cut!!! I started to have her shave the bottom of my hair, few months ago, as to have an undercut so it would last longer because her made up prices are ridiculous!! I moved from the east coast nearly two years ago. There I was consistently going to a stylist that charged me 75.00 for a much better quality cut and color I got here yesterday. My price never increased in over 8 years! Sydney also told me if I wanted toner in after she colored my blonde, it would be an extra charge?! Are you kidding me?! I've NEVER paid extra for toner!! I'm thoroughly disgusted in the choppy haircut I received and the price she charged me suddenly, just because I asked for highlights is beyond ridiculous!! You will NEVER see me in this salon again, and I definitely will tell everyone NOT to go here unless they'd like a below par and unprofessional haircut and also want to pay over 200 ish for a cut and color. Please check around because this salon and this stylist needs to check her attitude and customer service and maybe review what she REALLY should be charging!! read more

A friend of mine referred me to her stylist here. My hair was a hot mess. Previously bleached blond, I wanted a light color, but no bleach. Melissa did a great job with the cut, but the color came out darker than I had hoped. (The picture is deceptive because of the bright lights). Getting all of the colors blended and then doing an intensive conditioning treatment followed by a cut style and decent tip ran $300 and took 3 1/2 hours, but that's pretty much on par with what I would anywhere that is a quality salon. This is a Lanza salon. I really like Lanza products, but they tend to run a little more expensive. Cute, small salon. Busy on a Saturday, the stylists had clients of all ages. Handicap accessible and ample parking provided. All major credit cards accepted. read more

On a whim decided to try The Mane since Yelp offered good ratings and the shop was close by. Just needed a trim, but salons only cut these days. Was affordable and stylist was so sweet and was very delicate with my hair. She was a super good listener too, catching onto my passive comment of knotty wet hair. She proceeded to continuously analyze my hair while cutting, and concluded my issue was due to porous hair and my old highlights that have been colored over throughout the years. She offered hair care wisdom and suggestions, while giving me a great haircut. Bringing my daughter in for highlights soon because I felt this salon was affordably priced and welcoming to a variety of clients. Note: The salon is currently under renovations so don't pass judgement on it yet. I feel like I caught a glimpse of the vision and know that it will be amazing!! read more

I called them and made a consultation with Paige, she deeply explained everything and made an appointment. When I tell you she did such an amazing job she did, I wasn't even sure she could fix it but she did and did amazing job at it! I went in asking for a drastic change: going from faded black to bright blue! Melissa did an awesome job with my hair, which isn't easy to deal with. I have a tender scalp, and my hair is thick and long. Not only did she get the black out and the blue in, she did it without hurting me at all. I love my new hair color, and I'll definitely be back. Melissa is very good at her job, and she's friendly and professional as well. The salon was clean and bright, and everything seemed neat and orderly. Customers all appeared as happy as I was, and the hair stylists were all pleasant and polite. As someone with severe social anxiety, I have to say I felt welcomed and comfortable at the salon. Sarah is the best. She also does my sister-in-law's hair and it always looks fabulous so I started going here. She highlights the way I like all the way to the root and she recommended a flattering cut for my face. I have medium length hair around my collar bone. Not sure if she specializes in longer hair but she does a great job. She showed me how to curl it with a straightener which I prefer to the curling iron. Super friendly and easy to talk to, and she gives a great scalp massage when washing your hair. read more

Hands down the best salon in Thornton! These lovely stylist are amazing! I've been to so many different stylists but this team especially Maygen was amazing! I did a full color melt on my hair. I sat for some time but it was worth every second. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted it! So so in love with my new hair! My stylist Maygen took the time to explain to me the products she was using on my hair to achieve the color, and even showed me how to maintain the color, it was so informative. I had an appt with Renee. I showed her pictures of the style I like the last three times I was there. I did not this time, and she didn't ask. She did tell me she knew I like the back shorter stack. Two weeks and I feel like I didn't even get a hair cut. So I called her and she said she would have to charge me for a cut. I've been coming here off and on for a few years and it never fails to disappoint. The prices are very reasonable and I've never left with a bad cut. The only "problem" is that there seems to be a rotating staff quite frequently. Which, I guess isn't really a problem since the new folks they bring in are just as good as those that left. I've only been to Rocco's Family Hair Salon once, but I'm definitely planning on going back. I had the opportunity to get a "fix" haircut from Pam, one of the shop owners. Another place had done my hair, and not a good job, and instead of going back and hoping for a good fix, I asked a friend where she got her always-cute, really stylish hair done. Her recommendation led me to this salon, set back next to a grocery store up in Thornton. I was a bit dubious at first, but the moment Pam sat me down in her chair, hands flying Edward-Scissorhands style, I was in love! I can firmly say that she has the confidence to help someone out who says, "Yes, cut more!" And she has a great concept of how hair behaves. The best part about it all? The haircut was under $20, and I would have paid far more for it. read more

I went to victoria, who was supposedly one of their 'master stylist' and I came out with anything but what I was looking for! She was totally unprofessional and did what she thought I needed done to my hair, which was NO WHERE near what I had requested and I left horribly dissatisfied ! I still had to pay FULL price even though it was so far off frome the ok picture I brought in! She has absolutely no skills and should never be allowed behind the chair working on paying clients! At best she should stick to maybe washing hair if she can even do that! It made my time there miserable and the gossip she was talking about was completely unprofessional! I finally went and took a leap of faith and got my hair cut. I'm always so scared of the salons because I usually leave looking like little Orphan Annie(I have very curly red hair). Heather was very good with me. We tried a cut that I thought would work for me and we started off slow taking off a little at a time until I got the cut I was looking for. I ended up getting my usual style, but only because my hair is so difficult to work with. Heather was very patient and I left knowing I would go back. Another plus is the price. I used to get my hair done here all the time before one of my good friends went to cosmetology school herself. The staff is friendly, I particularly liked Candace and Amanda (Amanda especially if you're looking for volume!) The pricing was great (especially since I was a high school kid on a budget when I first started) I always ended up splurging for the wash/cut/style which was about $30 including tip. They always have a coupon available to print online, and they offer a punch card for frequent visitors. An added bonus is they have a tanning bed on site as well, so while I got my hair done I could bring a friend and she could do that. My friend is currently on hiatus so I may find myself returning soon after all :) read more

I had gone to this salon for several years with zero issues. After they changed ownership, the new owner did my hair one time & I decided I didn't like the color (she did a great job, it just wasn't what I wanted long term). I called and left a message with another stylist about using my touch-up appointment to take steps to lighten it back up. The new owner, Megan, returned my call and told me that she couldn't do my hair anymore but she could suggest someone else in the salon. After YEARS of faithful service and a TON of money invested in my hair... no way. I did not deserve to be made to feel like I was a bad client merely because I wanted something different. I won't say anything bad about service- the quality is good... but the way you get treated if someone decides they don't like you, is just garbage and unprofessional. It took a while but I found someone I can trust with my hair in the same area and am happy with results and she didn't make me feel like crap because I wanted to change. read more

I asked for a highlight lowlight combo, that was a chunky blonde brown look. I left there with black hair and a few blonde highlights that looks like I have gray hair. My shampoo, cut, and dry was $26 something and it was worth every penny of it. I called them up this morning and came in two hours later. I had an idea of what I wanted and my stylist helped me choose which look would best suit my needs (wash n' go). I had 8 inches cut off and plan to go back there when my hair gets long enough that it needs it cut again. When I can call to make an appt. they can usually get me right away. Everyone is super nice, they do an awesome job on my color and cut. I'm probably spoiled from my previous place (I didn't pay as much), but I know the prices are on par with everyone else. I wish the had FB specials every so often like most salons, but this place is not very techie that way. The website doesn't even have their hours or updated price list. I recently visited Colorado for my son's wedding. I had my nails done at another salon and they looked absolutely terrible. Later, a friend and I took my daughter to Rocco's for an appointment to get her hair done for the wedding. While we were there, my friend asked if the nail technician would be able to clean up my nails and reapply polish. Ariel was happy to fit me in and she did a beautiful job fixing my previous and unfortunate nail experience from the other salon. Her professionalism, skill, and positive attitude immediately made me feel better and my nails looked terrific. I should also mention that my daughter's hair looked beautiful. I wish I could remember the name of her stylist. She was delightful. The entire experience was enjoyable and we were so happy with the outcome.
