The stunning room with antique wood floors, gorgeous tall windows and exposed brick on the first floor accommodated the 70+ guests we had over the course of the evening very well. The programming included a raffle, vendors, bands, performances, discussions and film screenings. It was a successful evening and guests commented on the beauty and warm of the space and event. I would highly recommend this space for special events. I overheard guests commenting how they'd love to host their wedding in the gorgeous space. I would love to host another event here in the future.

Walked in on a Saturday morning probably an hour after opening. They were already pretty busy and…read morehad a big children's party coming. Luckily there was space for myself and 2 gfs. Process is simple. You pick your already made ceramic piece off the shelf and someone sits down with you before you start painting. They explain all the dos and don'ts and show you samples of a good painting job and what happens when you don't later enough paint. Then you go and create your masterpiece! You're free to use whatever brushes you want and all the paint that you need. There also is no time limit of how long you sit and paint. I think my gfs and I took about 2.5 hours? All pieces are priced differently. They're very helpful if you have any questions so don't hesitate to ask! The only thing that my gfs and I didn't realize is that it takes about a week for the pieces to be "glazed". So if you're not from around the area it might be a pain to come back and get it. If you fail to pick up your pieces I believe after 3 months, they donate them. I came back at exactly the 7 day mark and they just finished glazing that morning. Thank god, because I would've been really disappointed if I had gone all that way for nothing. They also have a sign that says no need to call to ask if your piece is ready as it SHOULD be ready within a week.

We were so impressed we bought a year membership so the whole family can participate together. You come in, choose your piece, get a bit of instruction and then you are off to the races. We attended a performance at the first Ontario concert Hall over the weekend and had a really good…read moreexperience. The venue is much bigger than I thought it would be and it fits so many people. The seats were incredible and we had a fantastic view of the stage from the left centre orchestra. When I looked up, I was surprised to see that the hall appeared bigger than the TSO. There were multiple decks of seats and many people could fit into the venue. The employees were all very friendly and the beverages were well priced. We found it challenging to park in the area due to all of the traffic and one way streets but once we found the entrance to the hall (we first went in the wrong door) it was a pleasant experience to the very end. I noticed people dressed up more for the symphony here than they do in Toronto, which is an interesting observation. Would we return? Absolutely!

As a wedding venue (I've been to two weddings here now), it is ideal. First of all the bar is as long as the room is wide so there is no chance of a backlog at the bar. There are probably 10+ stalls in the bathrooms so plenty of room there and the sound system and DJ booth are all very professional. The venue holds up to 350 people, so it's big. The head table is raised up quite high with an elegant curtain backdrop and stage lighting which makes everyone extra beautiful for photographs. The speeches are also done on the stage so you can always see the speaker. Both weddings we've been to we've been very impressed with the food and service. I believe we had chicken cordon bleu and a prime rib at both. The food really was tender, juicy and flavourful. More than I can say about many wedding venues I've been to. They have a hot table for serving things like a poutine bar or an appetizer table with warm foods. The staff also comes around with hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. They have a 3rd level balcony that overlooks the dance floor for bigger parties (like the student events I've been to here). Another perk to the venue: The residences that are just steps away can house guests for much cheaper than any of the local hotels.
