We have cruised many of the Sixthman fests- Kid Rock, Outlaw Country, Boots on the Water, Jay &…read moreSilent Bob, This Cruise is important (I call it the 'Workaholics' cruise) & Summer of 99. I want to try the Chefs cruise but finding a person to go with me is my issue. lol. We are also booked on Sublime and 311 (finally). Very excited for those 2. (Some artists - I won't say names - do not always remain on the ship. So having a "happen stance" moment is not always likely). I will say-ASKING IF A PARTICULAR ARTIST OR GROUP will be cruising on the actual ship is a must - to avoid being 'shattered' by them not being there - later. (For example - not a Sixthman fest - but RILEY GREEN is not cruising on his own cruise in 2027! Save your money on that one ppl!) Signing up for pre-sale is a necessity especially if you know it is a cruise that religiously sells out. Sometimes even being part of the pre-sale doesn't get u a shot a room (like on 311). I tried for the last 5 cruises & missed out four times. That is one cruise they could do 2 ships of and likely fill with no problem. (Creed not so much anymore). However, over the years of the Creed cruise they have expanded it to '& beyond' and we really enjoy some of the '& beyond' bands that sixthman has tracked down for that cruise. I'm just not a fan of the change in ships they r using now for that one. I understand it holds more ppl but the set up as far as theatre is not as good for me as an ADA attendee. The other ship had this nice 'perch' and it was great! I miss that perch but I can hope that next yr may be different and I will love it too. (It's a learning curve for all of us). We don't buy the ins b cuz on a completely diff venture (a diff cruise line) we did buy the ins. It is IMO a waste of money b cuz there r so many stipulations on do u have this or do this and maybe u will be reimbursed, to find out no. It's just this simple, if u book, b ready to cruise or have a back up person who will buy it from u or yes, u lose your money. However, i have never ckd into the "double dipping" thing so im not sure how many reviews say they kept their $ and sold it again. I would consult an atty or at the very least try to address the matter with mgmt at sixthman. Buying ins usually only loses u more money-the price of that ins. We have had our share (& then some) of issues on a few cruises. It is usually an NCL problem and NCL usually points the finger at sixthman (in my cases). However, Sixthman handled the matter for me and I was totally happy with the outcome. I can say that remembering these ppl are exactly that - PEOPLE! A lil kindness goes a long way in getting to the bottom of things. As it happened to be for me, that day, the person with whom I needed to speak with was standing right next to me speaking to a sixthman CSR. Mr Jeff Cuellar, current CEO of Sixthman, actually sails on these! I was shocked and impressed all at the same time. He listened to my concern and notated my request for resolution. He seemed attentive while I was speaking and was kind in his return. I realize he is a busy man and I hated taking up his time but I was so happy he took the time to hear me out. As for other sixthman staff on the ship or on chat, email or the phone-I have had great and pleasant interactions with - especially from Dave, Catherine, Shelby and Caroline. If a Sixthman staff couldn't help - they directed me to who could. We like that Sixthman orchestrates a meet for guests with most of the artists (that will participate) on the cruises and we feel they do a pretty good job at setting it all up. It would be nice tho - if they had an ADA designated elevator at each hub so that we wouldn't have to wait 30-40 mins to get an elevator that would allow room for us. Many walking ppl don't care that I'm sitting in the middle waiting for first available to stay out of the way. Overall, we love sixthman. U just have to know what is expected, follow their instructions and regs (read ALL print) and make the best of ur vacation. (A lot of stuff that goes on is on the NCL side). Pls don't hate on Sixthman - just, like many things - know b4 u go! Ask questions and be courteous.

the cruise itself was fun but the customer service is horrid!! we made the mistake of buying into…read moretheir next credits. they weren't explained well and everyone you talk to now wants to pass the buck DONT BUY THEM!!
