I do not recommend. I went on the Hallmark Cruise. I'm hearing impaired, disclosed ahead of time, got a confirmation that they received my request for listening devices ahead of the cruise and that they recorded my allergies. Then once I was on the cruise - their employees straight out gaslit me for the first two days, one of them illegally questioned my disability as I "looked" abled. It was impossible the hear or see close enough to read lips due to the overcrowding, zero accessibility seating close enough and the crazy fans who were so excited that they left no space for anyone else to see what's going on. It took me leaving a Facebook post to get a response the following day, and that response came in the form of the employees still confused on what they could do to help me. I got mixed information from Laura and Alex. Finally was told by Alex it turned out that only the main movie was closed captioned and only one room in the whole ship had the ability to use a listening device. Even when on day 3 after we get back from going on shore, they had someone try to help me get closer to the stage on the main boat to read lips but that just led me to being pushed around and trampled by crazy abled Hallmark fans who have zero respect for personal space boundaries who saw me in that space and climbed over to get in front of me to block my view. So I basically only able to experience 3 events in the whole cruise. To add to the miserable time - the next morning I woke up early violently ill inspite wearing a scopolamine patch, feeling dizzy and I threw up 7 times. I dragged myself to the med bay, paid $284 to stop feeling like I was dying. They gave me some nausea meds, and I eventually went back to my room - slept away my 4th day. When I woke up I couldn't see close up anymore. My vision somehow went to complete shit after taking the meds - I had to keep taking my glasses on and off trying to see. My friend and I finally went out to the final event since it was moved indoors due to weather and the listening device worked in the theater. Which again made it one of three events I was able to attend and heard the whole trip - even tho now I could barely see. I found out once I got ashore from my doctor that it sounded like I had food poisoning from dinner the previous night and then the meds interacted to cause vision problems. It took 3 days to feel back to normal. But seriously. I do not recommend Sixthman cruises. The whole thing was a total disappointment for me. I was told by Sixthman Alex I did all I could to get the help I needed from them pre cruise - they just failed to get the accommodations in place. She tried to bribe me (said it wasn't a bribe but come on) to be ok with the fact I paid over 5k to barely enjoy the experience with a free meal on board - but I was so damn sick that last day - I never was able to even get that. So yeah - next to no accommodations, ship/event was way too overcrowded, the staff unprepared, the events not organized to allow even 1/5 of the the 2900 ppl on board to have a fair shot to enjoy most of them. Just a complete waste of money for me and I do not recommend for anyone else for when it happens next year. read more

Sixthman is a company owned by NCL since 2012, so when a couple hundred of us were left standing on the dock 3 hours after disembarkation from our music themed cruise last Friday and there were no buses to transport us to the airport, like we paid for, I COMPLAINED ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGES as people need to know that they cannot rely on the transportation provide. Two buses came and went during 3 hours. 1 returned full when they left a woman in a wheelchair sitting along the curb and it was the only bus that had a handicap lift. This was the second year in a row that a problem with the airport transfer has occurred so its obviously a recurring problem that needs to be fixed and travelers need to know about. Although 3 buses came reserved for the musicians, even some of them found themselves stuck at the port with no other bus to take them. Sixthman claimed no responsibility at all in spite of being the "booking agent and partner company", at first they denied having any ability to do anything, even though they are a subsidiary company owned by NCL until others called them out on that statement. The FB admin made excuses about traffic, accidents, etc all of which had absolutely nothing to do with it because the dozens of cabs, Ubers and private transports / shuttles didn't seem to have a problem getting there. Then they allowed online other people to attack those who complained and instead of removing the attackers posts, they removed the entire post so you can't see the complaint. The attacks continue under the admins post of "Be kind". Many people had to pay additional monies for cabs and Ubers to make their flights. Instead of blaming their company for it's failure they allowed everyone to blame those who booked the transfers for not taking private transportation, booking later flights (ours was at 4 pm, not sure how late we should make it disembarking at 8 am 7 miles away) or staying extra days overnight. Sixthman only wants to allow you to see the good things and god forbid you should know there are problems. NEVER trust a company that isn't transparent about problems and refuses to advocate on behalf of their clients. read more

I was on the Hallmark cruise for November 2025 it is poorly unorganized overrated the pictures and Philby that you see on the reviews are just the good parts they don't show you what really is happening behind the scenes overcrowding to bark on the boat. We barked at 4:30 when my call time was 1 o'clock. They kept us in a holding tank. There was at least 3000 people in the heat waiting to bark it was miserable. It was terrible. No one came out from six back to explain what was the holdup why we were waiting so long I am one and done. I will never do this again decorations could've been much better throughout the ship. I thought it was gonna be more of a Christmas feel yes the passengers were dressed very nicely and Christmas gear but throughout the ship no I expected to see more Christmas. There were some shows we went to see the speakers were working so they had to fix that. A lot of the shows are delayed anywhere from a 30 minute wait to over an hour to see a show not happy will never do it again. read more

They told me not to add the protection because the protection wouldn't help me because my disability that caused me not to be able to fly was pre existing and it would be a waste of money to add it on so I didn't and when I spoke to Norwegian they said I would have been able to get a credit if I would've gotten the insurance. My family and I spent a lot of money going on Sixthman cruises and I will never spend another dime with sixthman or Norwegian due to them not even trying to help me in the slightest. Sixthman Cruises are very unaccommodating to the consumer. We are unable to go on a cruise months away due to pregnancy. When I originally called, the supervisor said we can transfer our reservation to someone else for a fee (understandable). However, when I called again to find out the transfer procedure, the supervisor decided she didnt want to grant this transfer, and she can because it's "up to the discretion of the supervisor". Mind you, there are over 1000 people on a waitlist to get on this cruise, they would be able to find our replacement within minutes. Now, they get to keep my $1200 plus all the money from the next person to take my spot. I wonder how many other people they have done this to. One of our favorite moments: sitting down in your lounge chair on the Lido deck, only to find out you are right beside Edwin McCain and his family - and chit chatting the afternoon away till the afternoon music begins!!! Sixthman has made a business of 2 of my loves; music and cruising! If you are a fan of music, you should definitely check out the many artists that are playing on music cruises now. We decided in September to go on the KISS Kruise at the end of October. I went on the website and saw there were still rooms available. I called Sixthman to ask if I could reserve a room for a day or two but they said no. I contacted our cruise travel agent and she contacted them and was able to reserve a room for a week. Our travel agent got us a great balcony room, which we prefer. But for the music cruises, an inside room would be fine too as you aren't in the room too much with all the activity around! Before the cruise, we received emails from Sixthman with information about the KISS show onboard, photo, and how to keep it cool on the ship when seeing band members. They also had information about cruising on their website which would be helpful for first time cruisers. The boarding day, there was a Sixthman staff greeting us on board. They had a desk right beside the guest services desk and hours were listed in the dailies. Throughout the cruise, there were various activities (Halloween costume contest, haunted house, book reading, and pick throwing to name a few) with and without KISS and lots of shows with the other musicians. We were assigned the first KISS theatre show but we didn't have a seat and were standing room only at the back of the balcony. We lined up early to get in the theatre so we could stand along the glass and see the band better. I felt bad for those who came in later as they had to stand behind the seated people who were standing and it would not have been a good view of the stage. I don't know if they could see the band at all! For the next evening's show, they called our room and offered tickets to see the show from seats. We said yes as this was a very nice gesture. Before the show, we went to see the Sixthman staff and they printed us new seapass cards with our seat numbers on it. That was great that Sixthman offered seats to us and we got to see the show twice. But it's too bad they didn't have enough seats for everyone in the shows. They did offer $250 ship credit for those who wanted to give up their seat to the show. There was also an issue when we went to pick up our welcome package and it wasn't there. It was eventually delivered to our room a few days later but would have been nice if they were organized to have them for everyone. When we went to pick it up, there were at least 2 others who also didn't have their welcome package. The KISS photo was organized fairly well and we waited about 45 minutes until our photo. It's a very brief moment and they take one photo. Some people weren't happy about this, but when you have thousands of people taking photos with KISS and a few hours/day to do so, you have to work fast. I think the cameraman did the best he could with all the people that had to go through. We were happy with our photo that was posted online within a week after getting off the ship. A few glitches, but overall organized. I would sail again on a Sixthman organized cruise but hope it wouldn't be the same ship and cruise line as this one (please partner with RCCL!) read more

Had airfare and kiss kruise 9 booked and was bullied and trolled by fellow customers on event facebook page after weeks of being sworn at and called names, i snapped and lost it and went off on someone who swore at me. I have multiple witnesses that can attest that i was bullied. Sixthman canceled my cabin and put me in a corner and made me feel like i had no choice to agree with their decision. The media might still get involved with this because i lost hundreds on airfare. They used to be a great company ! I'm sorry to say as a customet service professional for many years, sixthman do not fairly deal with paying customers. I wont go on anymore of their events because of this awful experience. Perfect experience with the best "travel agents" ever! Sixthman is responsible for making the 311 Cruise on the Norwegian Jade, the vacation of a lifetime! Booking - These are "festival cruises," so expect to pay at least $500 more than if it were a traditional cruise. Also prepare for multiple concerts in a short trip. This particular cruise line up included: 311, Rebelution, Reel Big Fish, Stick Figure, Ballyhoo!, RDGLDGRN, Ill Communication, the Unity Allstars, Los Stellarians, Dj Soulman, Dj Trichrome, comedians Doug Benson and Nick Swardson, Headphone Disco, and People Under the Stairs (replaced last minute by Pharoahe Monch). Booking was so easy! They were available on the phone during my assigned booking time. They answered all 100 of my questions in a friendly and professional manner. Cruise prep - they made announcements online, and sent emails regularly to ensure that we were ready. We received the event schedule a couple weeks prior to sailing. Plus, any questions were a quick phone call away or Sixthman Alex was on Facebook. The website took a little time getting used to but did the job. On board - Crew members were available to answer questions during designated times at the guest services desk, and made announcements during the cruise. We were never unaware of schedule changes or events taking place. Every cruiser received a lanyard necklace and mini-schedule, making it super convenient to carry around all day. The schedule itself was pretty well done. Many events overlapped but I never felt shortchanged. The only thing we couldn't find time to do was try a restaurant. The buffet was a lot quicker. I felt going to shows right after Cozumel was really tough...That would've been prime time for low key activities. Plus, a number of cruisers stayed on the ship all day just to secure a place in front of the stage. We cut our excursion a little short so we could make it back in time. Also on board, great music played throughout the interior of the ship 24/7! The games were entertaining and well-produced. Family Feud with Tim and P-Nut, and Name That Tune with Nick, were especially fun to watch. Sixthman crew even gave out lemon drop shots for the "sail way toast" and in Mexico. They hooked up cruisers with a super cheap *cruiser exclusive* excursion option - access to either Mr. Sanchos or Playa Mia beach clubs, with unlimited drinks and buffet for just $30 per person! Have I really gone all this time without ever reviewing Sixthman? How did I let that happen? Seriously, if you've never been on a Sixthman cruise then you're missing out on an amazing experience. Others have described some of the events. I've personally been on 4 Rock Boats and a VH1 Best Cruise Ever, and it really is the best vacation I could ever ask for. The only way for someone to NOT have a good time on any of these events is if they either don't like music or don't like cruising. There's no way I could do these folks justice in a review on Yelp!, but there's a reason why, with only 5 vacations under my belt, I'm far behind some of my friends who have taken 10 to 15 in the last 10 years. Sixthman, if you haven't had experience with them is an organization that connects musicians with their fans through various events. Primarily, they schedule cruises with groups of musicians and allow fans to book a vacation on the cruise. You get to spend the entire time on the cruise, both relaxing, enjoying a vacation, and seeing your favorite bands (and some new ones) perform. As well, you have several chances to spend time wtih the band members as they are also on vacationing on the cruise with you. Several of the bands that have been featured on Sixthman Cruises are: Barenaked Ladies Guster Great Big Sea Gaelic Storm John Mayer Lynyrd Skynyrd And MANY MORE. Now, all of these bands aren't together - for instance, BNL has their own cruise, which for the last two years featured Guster and other bands - that cruise is known as Ships and Dip. John Mayer has his own cruise, known as Mayer Craft, and the others have their own cruise. If you have never been on a cruise, this is a great way to break in your cruising experience. I for one attended Ships and Dip and spent time with several members of both Barenaked Ladies and Guster. It was an incredible time. I choose to go on a Sixthman cruise for my very first cruise experience and boy do they deliver. Went on the Sail Across the Sun cruise Feb 2014 to Grand Cayman. I'm now hooked on cruising and wonder how anything will measure up to the fun I had cruising the Caribbean with Train, Matt Nathanson, Michael Franti and so much more. Can't wait to go again. Because 1 is the lowest rating I can give them. Sixthman have been the single worst customer service experience of my entire life. My Wife and I sailed with them 2 years, bought nice staterooms and spent a lot on the boats, didnt sneak on booze or drugs like many do and to be fair we had a great time on the boats. I expressed concearns with some of their managment of a facebook group and on the last day of our 2nd cruise we were uncerimoniously told we should "take a year off" of their cruises because we had been "negative" the only example Anthony (COO of Sixthman) would provide was comments they said we made at one event that they didnt like. We didnt make the comments and the person who did came forward. For months Anthony and Andy (CEO of Sixthman) Told us they were "reviewing" or "discussing" and then just before our cruise went onsale this year and only because WE called them they said they would not change their mind. They both refused to give any reason what so ever! After we began to tell our friends what had happened they freaked out and said because we had told people they were banning us for life! Sixthman has tried to make nice. A month later. I guess better late than never. I'm posting the letter that I received. What is super disappointing is the lack of apology. This will never change my opinion of the company. The letter talks about how the staff should be better at treating people like humans...well, part of that is knowing when to apologize. After getting out of the hospital, being laid up and in excruciating pain, and then being told I have to miss out on a vacation with my best friends seeing one of my favorite bands was horrible enough but then being talked down to by a bunch punk kids was the icing on the cake. After receiving the email today, I had to call to let them know the correct address to send the refund check for my excursion and fees. I stated my correct address and that was it. Again, no apology. No questions like, "does this make us good?" Nothing. Just a simple, "I'm sorry you were treated poorly" or "I apologize the staff acted like a bunch of a**holes" would have totally softened my opinion of them. Anyhow, here is the letter: Dear Kara, Thank you for your recent feedback on our Yelp page. I realize that it was written over a month ago and do apologize that it was not brought to my attention until today or else I would have responded sooner. After reading the account of your attempt to cancel yourself from the reservation and after talking to the staff involved I do agree that there were multiple missed opportunities here and deeply regret that this was your only interaction with our company. Like any other company we do have set policies which are there for a reason, but unlike every other company we do foster an environment which allows our team to treat guests with empathy and understanding. I'm sure the last word you want to hear from me is "insurance," and I don't blame you. What my team could have made more clear when invoking that word is that a full refund to a guest who did not purchase insurance is not fair to those who did. As you mentioned, we have definitiely found oppurtunities where it was the appropriate and "right" thing to do to bend or make an exception to a policy. This would be on a case by case basis where we take into account extenuating circumstances. For a variety of reasons it does become more difficult to make exceptions as we get closer to sailing. I tell you this to give you background not because it's anything that you should have or could have known. Your experience is unique to you and I think we could have done a better job here of remembering that instead of making assumptions that you were just someone else trying to "bend the rules" and failing to connect with you on a more human level. To thank you for helping to make us a better company and as a token of goodwill I'd like to refund your $20 Shore Excursion and $215 taxes and fees payment. I do not expect you to take down your original review, nor do I want you to. I just thank you for giving me the opportunity to address your experience head on. I know I should have been more vigilant about making sure there was insurance on the trip. My bad. My opinion of these guys has not changed one bit. If I could give Sixthman zero stars, I would. My husband and I were booked to go on a cruise in February of 2019. Due to financial reasons, we decided we could no longer go. I want to stress that we cancelled 7 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. We DID purchase the trip insurance. Well, wouldn't you guess it, the insurance doesn't cover financial situations. Only in the event of a DEATH or an documented illness. So we paid for the trip insurance for nothing. The insurance is useless. I spoke to Kristy first. Ultimately, after I requested she speak to a supervisor, we were given a one time exception for our July payment to be refunded along with a cancellation. This is unacceptable. Between my husband and I, we've paid a total of $1159.78 (excluding the $238 we paid for travel insurance = totaling $1397.78), and only received $396.37 of that back. I find this to be quite sickening and unsettling that $1001.41 dollars is literally just being put in the "garbage". I spoke to Bear the next day and asked what happens to our money once the room is sold, and he stated, and I quote, "Your money is forfeit". I've kept a copy of this particular transcript for reference because I couldn't quite grasp what I was reading. There reasoning behind the strict "no refund" policy is because there's "no guarantee this room will be sold". Which is complete and utter nonsense. I know FOR A FACT, they will flip the room immediately. The cruise we are going on is sold out with a lengthy waiting list. I am 100% CERTAIN that Sixthman will have no issues booking this room (if it hasn't already been since we've cancelled). I feel as though we've been robbed. I can deal parting with the travel insurance costs, but the $763.41 being "forfeited" is EXTREMELY hard to swallow. I've e-mailed the CEO, to which of course, I receive no response. I've also contacted a Chicago news station with the issue. I will tell anyone that listens at this point because it is UNACCEPTABLE. They are more than capable of returning my money to me, but they simply will not. I will never do business with Sixthman again and I will make sure to advise against doing business with them to anyone. They preach so highly on their website about values and customer care, but I had the exact opposite experience. read more
