    First Take Photo Booths

    (15 reviews)

I've seen more than my fair share of photo booths in the Atlanta area. I didn't know First Take…read moreexisted until my friends used them for their wedding. While I can't say there was really anything that set First Take apart from the numerous other photo booths I've tried around town, I thought it was solid -- just like many of the others. This photo booth was open (as opposed to a closed photo booth with a curtain) and set up indoors inside a church. The setup was simple with a sparkly silver backdrop and a table full of the usual array of silly props such as oversized sunglasses, Hawaiian leis, viking helmets, crowns, a poop emoji plush, and funny signs (some of which were theme-appropriate). Some photo booths give you photo strip printouts, others don't. First Take printed out strips for our group, as many as we needed. Each photo booth session consisted of four photos and each strip had all four photos. The event name and date was printed on the bottom of each strip in a nice font. I think the photo booth could fit up to eight people in one photo comfortably. We might have been able to squeeze 10 people in a single photo if everyone stood in the correct place. Some people would have to squat. There were two attendants and they were helpful and friendly enough. I talked to one of them and he was booked from morning to night, from school functions in the morning to weddings in the afternoon and evening. Along with the printouts, a couple things I liked about First Take that not all other photo booths have are: (1) The photo booth actually tells you where to look. If people don't know where to look, they often end up looking at a screen and not at the actual camera itself. This can cause photos to turn out poorly since the people in the photos are looking at the wrong place (up, down; anywhere but straight). (2) You can enter your phone number on the photo booth's touchscreen and have your photos sent to you via text (MMS). I'm not sure if First Take offers any other send options like email (which I prefer because you can get higher resolution photos that way). All in all, I think First Take provides a fine photo booth.
