We are incredibly lucky to have worked with Ashley Baber. We began planning our wedding mid-2019 and chose to postpone due to COVID the following year. Not only did she fully support our decision to do so, she went above and beyond in helping us plan a last minute elopement for 2020. We adored every vendor she suggested, and both weddings went off without a hitch. She had all emergencies covered. Forgot the flower girl baskets at the hotel with the ceremony 5 minutes out? No problem! She had extras in her car. My dog getting muddy paw prints all over my dress? Ashley had special wipes that made everything look good as new. Ashley Baber was the best money we spent throughout our entire wedding planning process. Planning a wedding for 200 people is one of the most stressful things we have ever done, but Ashley kept us sane and focused on the joy of the day. We could only afford to hire her as a day of coordinator, but she went above and beyond to help us through every phase. She quickly understood what our vision was for the event was and did everything in her power to make it a reality. She is decisive (when you can't be), ready with a trusted vendor recommendation (when you need it), extremely professional and has a good eye for what's hot (and what's not). She also has a wickedly good sense of humor. She is also fabulous at negotiating prices with vendors so I suggest you get that package if you can swing the cost. We couldn't, but Ashley still helped us get a good price with certain vendors and even came to my dress fitting although I'd already used up the consultations included in my package. In response to the other reviewer: it may take her a little while to respond to emails because she has other clients with weddings taking place before yours. But she always got back to us in less than 48 hours with very detailed responses and her response time was even faster--mere hours--during the last month of the planning. I cannot imagine what the planning would have been without such wealth of information just an email away. Unlike some other planners I've heard stories about, Ashley worked behind the scenes on our wedding day to make everything ran smoothly and only came to us with questions when it was absolutely necessary. You have no idea how important this is. We got to spend time with our family, friends and each other instead of worrying about the small stuff. As a result, the entire event was a success and everyone is still raving that it was the most fun and beautiful wedding they have ever been to. We had a blast too! As much as I'd like to think that planning and putting on a wedding was something my mom and I could do ourselves, the truth is that we never would have been able to pull it off without Amanda and Ashley from Ashley Baber Weddings. From vendor recommendations to timeline and reception layout logistics to making sure everything was where it needed to be before and after the reception, they did an amazing job! We couldn't have been in better hands on my wedding day. Ashley worked with us throughout the planning process and set us up with her associate Amanda Dana, who was with us on the day of the wedding. Amanda is so much fun, and definitely knows when to get down to business and make things happen if they're for some reason not happening. My mom and I had a great time working with both Ashley and Amanda. They understood right away what sort of event we wanted, and steered us toward excellent vendors when we needed suggestions and otherwise provided lots of support and helped to work out the many logistical puzzles that a wedding entails. The value of what they do is extraordinary -- my parents didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding and neither did I, which frankly is something you can't put a price on. There were a few last-minute scheduling snafus that were quickly worked out, and Amanda even made an extra trip to my parents' house on the morning of the wedding to pick up a few extra things that needed to go to the reception site before we would get there. My parents told me that, after they sent us off at the end of the reception, Amanda handed them their car keys and said everything was ready to go. She'd already loaded in the gifts, leftover favors, and anything else they needed to take with them, and they didn't even need to go back inside the venue. Such service! Speaking of value, I don't think you'll find a better deal on wedding coordination, regardless of what level package you get with ABW. It's a totally reasonable price, and they could easily charge more if they wanted. I'm thrilled that they were within my budget and recommend them to anyone who is planning a wedding in Atlanta (or anywhere else they'll go, for that matter). They are so well connected in the industry, and, more important, they are a total blast to work with! read more

Ashley from Ashley Baber Weddings was my wedding planner, up until a couple of months before our wedding. Ashley was originally recommended to me by The Biltmore, so I figured she must be good! This company offers three levels of service ranging from full blown planning to only day-of service. We chose the middle level, which was basically day of plus unlimited calls/emails throughout the planning process, along with the consultant attending several of our vendor meetings. For every vendor I needed, Ashley gave me a list of recommendations (usually about 3) to pick from. She had already worked with these guys before, so I felt comfortable with any choice I made, but it let me pick the best vendor for our wedding. A couple of months before the wedding we changed to one of Ashley's associates, Tijen, due to a scheduling conflict. This could have been a huge transition, but both the associates (and my husband and I!) handled it beautifully. Tijen assisted the day of the wedding and did a phenomenal job of keeping the day moving and didn't even seem to break a sweat! BTW, I highly recommend a day-of coordinator, even if you have no other help at any other time in the planning process. So many things come up you'll never even think of! The only concern I had with them (and this seemed to be a common theme among the wedding vendors) is that I felt it took a little too long sometimes to answer emails. There is a LOT of correspondence that goes on between the bride and the consultant, and a lot of times, the bride will feel VERY antsy for an answer soon, at least by the next day. Just keep this in mind brides when shooting out those emails with tons of questions! I think any associate with this company will do an excellent job. Ashley Baber Weddings is becoming well known in the wedding industry and earning the respect this company deserves. When I got engaged, literally every married couple I know told me that the one thing that was a must have in the whole wedding process was a planner. After making infamous comments about how hard could it possibly be that were bound to come back and haunt me, I found myself frantically googling wedding planners a few weeks after the engagement. I had heard through the grapevine that Ashley was a must have and since my wedding is on a holiday weekend and involves in-laws from france I thought the sooner I had a pillar of strength the better. Ashley, despite being very successful, was warm and very kind. I felt immediately relaxed when she talked me through the whole process and different types of services she offered. So far she's guided me in the right direction, from alterations to how to reserve a block of hotel rooms to DJ's she understands the type of wedding I want and the best vendors to match those needs. I'll definitely update this once the whole wedding goes down, but wanted to give brides looking for a superwoman a nudge in the right direction! read more

I think everyone needs an Ashley. Initially, I justified hiring a wedding planner because I was planning an Atlanta wedding from Brooklyn. However I don't think it matters if you are near or far. Ashley is invaluable. Planning your wedding is overwhelming. There are so many choices, considerations, and questions. Ashley reduced some of the noise by recommending great vendors and talking us through the steps. She asked questions that really helped us visualize the wedding and how we wanted to craft it. She made a timeline for us that we could send out to all our vendors. Most valuable was Ashley at the rehearsal and day of the wedding. She was so calm and professional. She totally made it happen. We had a ton of handmade details that needed to be placed and staged during the wedding. While we were getting ready and taking pictures she was overseeing all of those details with the vendors to perfection. She helped us and our family actually enjoy our wedding without having to worry what step was next. I can't imagine doing our wedding without her and I'm a huge d.i.y. person. I can't recommend her enough. If you are near or far- plan your wedding with Ashley. She rocks! read more

Ashley is awesome! I have no idea what I would have done without her. She personally took the time to do so much for us leading up to and during our big day. From the rehearsal to the final send off - everything went off without a hitch. She was great with our guests and family going above and beyond to make sure things were perfect - Ashley even personally drove one of our guests to the emergency room when they drunkenly fell. To address a previous review about her communication - just like any busy person these days, email is not always the best to get your questions answered! I had no issue communicating with Ashley, every time I called she either answered immediately or called me back within 30 minutes. If you have a question, you have to take the initiative to pick up the phone!! Overall I couldn't recommend Ashley more. Ashley Baber (and company - yes, Courtney - you) exceeded our expectations! My husband did not think we needed a wedding planner. I guess he thought everything would take care of itself. Well, I convinced him it would be money well spent. And, yes, guys, he is a convert! He has said many times that she made things come together. Everything went smoothly and seamlessly. Neill and I got married in a small town in rural North Carolina. There were not many vendors to choose from. She intruduced us to Dina - our florist. Yes, she had to drive from Atlanta, but she hit the nail on the head. Our flowers were perfect! When I had dress issues, Ashley made an appointment with the seamstress and the next day she met me at my fitting. Problem solved. Let's face it. We only get married once. Ashley has been there a thousand times. She knows what we are forgetting and has creative and thoughful suggestions to help personalize your day. I met with Ashley to discuss some of the options if I were to hire her. She was really personable and fun to chat with about different options and seemed to have tons of resources at her disposal. Her office and the little house it is in is so incredibly cute. When I started talking about our vision for the wedding she seemed to totally get the idea and made lots of suggestions. I grew up in the midwest where wedding planners aren't very common for people without rockstar budgets. I was worried that she would scoff at our budget when she realized we wouldn't be spending the Atlanta average of $35,000 but there was clearly no reason to worry over that. She was great at suggesting packages and options that fit our budget and didn't try to talk us into packages that really weren't a good fit for our budget or needs. Overall I was impressed with her level of enthusiasm and overall style but a few things left me a little disappointed. First of all, she was late for our appointment. Her office is in a building that was locked and when no one showed up by the time our appointment should have begun I called her. She answered and apologized and said she was on her way and just running late. I would have preferred if she had called me before I had a chance to call her if she was running late but she apologized several times and everyone runs late once in a while. I think punctuality is just one of my pet peeves, especially from someone who is trying to convince me they are organized enough to plan and direct my wedding. Second, I never heard from her again. I expected to hear from her a week or so later just to check back and see if we were interested in hiring her. Perhaps this just isn't an industry standard and lots of people meet for the consultation and are then never heard from again. I could just be picky but I think when you are trying to sell me on your service and attention to detail, checking back with potential clients would be nice. The place on the top of our list right now includes someone to direct the day of the wedding and does most of the work for us but if we don't go with them and end up hiring Ashley I will definitely update my review. read more

Of all the vendors we used for my daugher's wedding, Ashley is the only one I would not re-book. I've waited several months to post this review in an effort to let the dust settle and write a fair review. Only Ashley's vendor connections keep me from giving her a one star review. You hire a wedding planner to be in charge, to handle details, and to use her experience to anticipate trouble spots. We could not have been more clear with her what our expectations were and upgraded to a more expensive package to purchase more time. We hired Ashley primarily because she positions herself as handling every detail. This is just not the case. The one and only fight my daughter and I had during the engagement was due to the way Ashley handled the run through that was supposed to finalize all details and loose ends. Just thinking of the list of things she sidestepped and left undone at that point is making my head hurt. Here's one example. It was Ashley's job to make sure all the gifts from the reception are packed in one of our cars at the end of the night. She delegated it to one of the bartenders from the catering company and left the reception. The next day when we realized the gifts, including some checks, were still at the reception venue I called Ashley. She told me I could call the venue on Tuesday when they re-opened and make arrangements to pick up the gifts then. There's more to that story but my head is hurting again. The last thing I wanted in hiring a (not-inexpensive) wedding planner was to have to manage her too. When I held her accountable for things that were falling short her mantras were "This happens all the time." "This is very common at weddings." or, in one case, heaving a sigh in front of a vendor and saying "Do it that way." Very dismissive and patronizing. The positives were her list of vendor connections and the broad price ranges she could access. I was happy with the florist she recommended and she felt that Ashley would do her best to find a quality vendor in the price range you could afford. In short, it was not a pleasant experience, I defintely don't think I got my money's worth. She caused more stress than she handled and I would not recommend using her. read more

Personable, attentive, and on-top-of-it! That's what I was looking for in a wedding planner, and Ashley embodies it all. I interviewed 3 other planners prior to hiring her, and none of them seemed like the right fit. From first impression to the end of the wedding, Ashley was professional and always several steps ahead of us. Her know-how and the number of contacts she has in the industry is astounding. If one vendor wasn't working for me, she could send me several more to choose from, but it wasn't hard. She understood the style we were going for, and it was a matter of me simply getting in touch with the vendor. Everyone she recommended was great, they were able to give the same high-level service Ashley offered. We hired her for the day of planning, but she went so above and beyond all of that. I maxed out our number of meetings (3), just because I really valued her opinion. This woman does not hesitate. She knows what's right for you and is always looking out for you. She's simply the expert! The day of the wedding went without a single hitch. I was relaxed and calm, none of those butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling at all. I knew I had hired the best and had nothing to worry about (even the little bit of rain we got right before the ceremony!) The wedding and reception were fantastic, and I've gotten so many compliments about everything. We really wanted people to have fun, and they absolutely had a blast. Ashley is every bride's dream come true. She helped me find vendors, negotiate deals when I needed then and all the traditional stuff a bride needs help with. Most importantly, though, is that I completely trusted her and knew that if I asked her to do something or she offered to do it, it would be taken care of and I didn't have to worry at all. My husband felt exactly the same way about her after only a few meetings. When I was so tired at the rehearsal I was ready to have a meltdown, he talked to her and made sure that all questions from the church ladies were directed away from me. From that moment on I didn't have a care in the world. Our wedding and reception went off without a hitch. Everyone there thought it was fantastic, but no one though so more than us. Worth every penny is an understatement for Ashley. She is the most amazing wedding planner a girl could EVER ask for. Our wedding was about a month ago in my parents backyard, 5/14/11 and I still miss her! She made everything go smoothly from the second we met her and made me feel as if nothing was an outragious request- and let me tell you- I had a lot :). Ashley is just one of those determined people who has everything under control but yet at the same time you feel you have known her for years. Ashley Baber is an absolute rockstar! My mom actually first reached out to Ashley the night my husband and I got engaged because my mom knew we couldn't do it on our own and she was right! We had never planned a wedding before, didn't know a realistic budget for what we wanted, didn't know all of the vendors we needed or where to look and Ashley helped us with everything! We had a meeting that week to talk vision, planning, budgets, and life. Ashley was so prepared and fun at vendor meetings. She always had great ideas for looks. Ashley Baber was my day of wedding coordinator for my wedding in June. Like Blissful G., both my husband and I agree, she was the best money we spent on our wedding. We interviewed with five other planning firms and Ashley was by far the best! We clicked immediately. It felt like she was a friend and truly invested in the success of our wedding and marriage. Plus, I was so impressed that she had such knowledge of the wedding industry with her different backgrounds: working at a high end bridal boutique, working at an actual catering company, her hospitality background. It was comforting to know that she had been on the other side of the fence, so to speak. But nothing could compare to all the work and overtime effort she put into our wedding. Eight days before our wedding, the reception site we had chosen 18 months prior, closed it's doors due to the current economic conditions. I was temporarily crushed. Heartbroken. But all was not lost because I had Ashley! She spent the next eight days helping us completely re-plan our wedding. It was quite the task finding a new reception site eight days out, but somehow, she managed to make it all work. And beautifully. All her contacts and experience in the wedding industry really helped us out. It was great to see the wedding community come together to help me and my husband say out vows and live happily ever after. I honestly don't know if I would have been able to look back and have sweet memories of our wedding day if it weren't for Ashley.
