We hired Wedding Bug to do our photography and DJ part of our wedding. I was skeptical of what would happen but they were within our budget and have wonderful references from past clients. When we received the names and contact information for both we were excited to meet them after speaking with both on the phone and giving them details about what our expectations were and how we wanted our wedding to go. Our photographer delivered everything we asked of him and he did a great job for us. Reggie was low key but got all the key shots we wanted and expected. I was never uncomfortable and everyone very much enjoyed his presence. T-Bone our DJ delivered everything we asked of him and kept the music at a respectable level for us and our guest as we asked. We didn't want to have to scream across the table to our guest and not be able to hear the next day. I suffer from tennitus and I am not able to have loud music blaring in my head. We had a vast variety of ages at our wedding and the DJ did a great job of playing a variety for everyone. The Photography experience with Wedding Bug and our assigned photographer, Julie, was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. From the beginning, I was VERY clear about one specific photo we wanted: a full-length shot of our first dance with the dry ice when it was at it highest, which featured the illusion that we were dancing on a cloud. I brought this up several times in advance and the day off. I emphasized that this was the one shot I truly cared about- everything else was secondary. What we received was two cropped photos from the waist up, and one when the dry ice was nearly gone, completely missing the intended effect. During our first dance, instead of focusing on us, Julie was taking photos of guests--including the children playing with the dry ice. To make matters worse, she captured twenty nearly identical photos of my in-laws putting on their flowers, yet couldn't get the one moment we specifically discussed multiple times. When I called to express my frustration, Julie casually suggested we could try editing the fog into the photo. If I wanted an artificial effect, I wouldn't have spent $500 on a dry ice machine. She never offered an apology or took any accountability. When I spoke with a supervisor, I was offered a free photo--as if that could make up for the once-in-a-lifetime image I'll never have for our living room wall. Beyond the missed moment, the overall quality of the photos was poor. Many were off-center, heads chopped off and our wedding party shots looked sloppy--especially the groomsmen, who were all doing something different in nearly every photo. It looked unorganized and unprofessional. I would absolutely NOT recommend Wedding Bug or Julie to anyone. Unless you want photos that look like a toddler took them, with no regard for your clearly expressed wishes, I'd look elsewhere. This experience left me not only disappointed but heartbroken that the most important image of our day was never captured. read more

WEDDINGBUG was contracted to get a photographer for our son's wedding in November, 2024. She was absolutely terrible. The pictures were taken without any thought about the lighting or the background (a red exit sign above the bride and groom for the first dance). There was no direction given, as to placement of people in the formal pictures. She didn't use an appropriate flash for the venue, so in group photos, one subject is very light, and the rest are in the shadows. The pictures were out of focus, and not centered. In the formal of the bride and groom, the groom is stepping on the bride's dress. The website to order albums and prints is terrible. I just received my album (+ $450) and the pictures are not retouched, and out of focus. Some of the photos that I wanted are not included, while others that I did not add to the album, are included. They are printed on inexpensive paper and the album does not even have a title or the date of the wedding. What an enormous disappointment for a once in a lifetime event. DO NOT EVER WORK WITH THEM!!! They quoted me all of these great prices and then tried to charge me hundreds of dollars more after they promised us everything we wanted and the wedding consultant was at fault. We would also get spam calls and texts that almost lost me my job. After asking for a new consultant, one could stay consistent and every time I thought they were going to sort it out they tried to take advantage even more. One person promised we could pick our photographer and videographer, then I found out later, that wasn't an option for us. Then when they said they would try and make it work, they took off discounts they were offering to others and charged us more. It was honestly such a mess and at this point we've found an amazing local company to work with that I feel is genuinely excited for our wedding. The thing that was really too much for me was how little Greg, who claimed to be the owner, cared about how he had ruined this for us. He was cold on the phone and said he couldn't help us. I was sobbing on the phone feeling hopeless that we couldn't get an affordable photographer and videographer. Why get into this business if you don't care and don't want to provide a service on such a special day? Not everyone has thousands of dollars to spend on their wedding, but we still deserve to have the most beautiful day. Happy with our choice to go elsewhere. UPDATE...I'm honestly not sure why this has continued on as long as it has. Maybe if the CEO spent as much time arguing with me over my reviews as he did in his company, they may have better reviews. I'm writing this review with severe mixed feelings. STAY CLEAR OF WEDDING BUG!! We used Wedding bug for a 4 hour photographer for our small wedding in September 2021. We ended up loving our photographer and the experience on our wedding day, however, everything that followed has been a terrible experience, resulting in lots of upset crying while looking at our wedding photos. I paid for the upgraded package with extra edits and the photo book. When I requested only color edits of my photos, I received my images back where my body was changed, waist brought in, chest made bigger, birthmarks removed, chin made pointy. All body edits made only to the bride! What a terrible way to remember your special day.. seeing how someone thinks you should have looked! I was very clear in my edit request asking for "color correction." When I asked customer service if I could have them redone, they apologized and said there must have been a misunderstanding with my request because it was made without talking to me. Which is ridiculous. I asked to be given a different editor and have them redone. Instead they gave it back to the same editor who corrected a couple pictures, but sent back over half of them still with major issues and edits to my body and appearance rather than color edits only. The response when I told them this was still not acceptable was that they suggest I have them edited somewhere else. This has been the worst customer service and gaslighting experience of my life, with the company giving the impression like the edits to the pictures looked good when the pictures don't even look like me and the edit lines throughout are very obvious. They should be embarrassed of what this editor submitted as finished work and correct it. They offered a refund of my extra edit fee to keep me from being "more upset", however, this is hardly enough for my heart ache over this experience, hours spent looking at pictures that make me upset and now all of this has caused self-esteem issues. I can't wait to never think about weddingbug again, and eventually when we look at our pictures remember our amazing day rather than this experience. Looking back I wish I paid for the whole night to be caught on video. We did the four hour package. I suggest the whole night if your going to do video. That's all I would change. Do not hire this business, this company had no information on name of photographer when we contacted them, and and when we contacted them to cancel after we booked them 2 months after they still harrassed us 3 months before the wedding about paying the bill non stop via text. They even managed to threaten us that are obligated to show up on the day of because photographer have bills to pay. Every time we talk to one of the staff, they could never get the story straight who we contacted, we were never in informed what services we signed up for, and no contracts signed and they kept claiming we did when the links don't work. After I told her what we were looking for and that it didn't seem that their services/packages would be within our budget, she was condescending and said I would have a hard time finding a videographer that would be willing to come out for just the ceremony, and that I should reach back out to her if I change my mind. I don't appreciate a company persistently disrespecting a communicated budget. Especially when I was very polite in saying that I didn't think their company was the right fit but thanked her for her time. I understand there are probably commissions and things involved for booking, but maybe train your sales associates to politely accept rejections and not to pressure people into spending more money than they're comfortable with. read more

Literally terrible. Do not hire them. I am the easiest person to please, but everything from day 1 has been a nightmare! I never got any payment confirmations to start, which I was told I would get, then they said I needed to make payments that I could prove I already made. Then, I provided my videographer with the itinerary for the wedding day and a list of contact people for the day of so I wouldn't need to be bothered with phone calls on my special day. I am not joking, this videographer called me, the BRIDE, 18 times to ask where he should be and what he needed to be doing when I already sent him the extremely detailed itinerary months in advance!!!! Then when he was told where he should be, he was "off getting coffee" or "grabbing something to eat" or "at the gas station"...no joke, these were the texts we were getting on my special day. I eventually just gave my phone to one of my bridesmaids to handle this crap because I was getting so annoyed with everything. They literally made me 45 minutes late to my own wedding because we were waiting for them to come and film us getting ready in the hotel because they were at the gas station..then we finally get everything together and get to the wedding and the videographers decided to hit on my married photographer most of the night. Very unprofessional from day 1. Now, over a year later, the only thing I really truly wanted from our special day is my 5 minute mashup video. STILL DON'T HAVE IT!!!! I've contacted them at LEAST 55 times about this and they will not make the edits I am asking for. Literally asked for 3 small parts to be changed in this video. My husband and I got married in November last year. We booked a videographer and photographer. The two men we worked with were very professional. We went with a basic video package, but we realized once we received the footage that was a mistake. I highly recommend going with the upgraded high definition film and edited short film option. We were able to add on a short film after we received our original film. The short film turned out very nice! The pictures also turned out beautiful. They captured some very special moments! We also were able to print them off at home and give our family and friends login information so they could do the same. read more

Everything seemed fine. We had two preparation calls with our videographer. He talked us through everything and submitted all the needed paper work to our venue a few days before. He made us feel at ease and like everything was good to go. UNTIL THEY JUST DIDNT SHOW UP ON OUR WEDDING DAY . At all. We didn't hear a thing from them at all day off. In fact, we had to contact them and couldn't get ahold of them. There were certain events on our wedding timeline we were waiting on the videographer to be apart of. So since they didn't come, and we couldn't get ahold of them, we were behind. Once we finally got the company to call us back, they informed us that they had double booked our wedding and they didn't intend on coming at all. So not only did they double book, but once they realized they double booked, they did absolutely nothing in hopes of fixing the problem. I truly enjoyed this company. I used their videographey for our wedding, they came in way significantly lower cost then others in my area for 2 videographers. I worked with Lynn on my quotes and she was always very responsive and informational, any issue (mostly confusion on my end) she would address instantly and help me to understand. Great customer service on her end! For the videographers, we still had our wedding it was at a private location and we were able to follow covid quidelines, they were great to work with, I got calls from both of them a couple weeks before they asked me for my view and if I had any questions on what to expect. During the wedding and even the raw footage I got they hit every aspect I wanted. Since covid I was not able to have everyone attend, I choose videographey to send a video to family / friends who where not there to witness it on their own. Still waiting on the edited video, my only helpful hint would be for the editing to be a little faster! Only because I'm anxious to send the video out for everyone to see! It took 3 tries to get our event rescheduled and then when we ended up having to cancel because our venue shut down, they couldn't give us a refund because they have an incredibly limiting policy of no refunds a week after the first payment. I found out after the wedding that he had my husband and bridesmaids, groomsmen, mom and other people say a little speech or message into the microphone for our video which I think is awesome! It took me 4 years to write this review because I am still so ANGRY at the fact that I used wedding bug! Its better to just pay more and get what you really want. I didnt find out who the photographer or videographer was till like a 2 weeks before. I tried reaching out to them several times and they would not get back to me. The quality of the pictures is not good. More then half of my pictures were never given to me because they said they were overexposed or did not come out correctly. How does an experienced photographer like they claimed ruin more then half the wedding pictures. I still do not have a picture of my wedding hanging anywhere in my home because I cannot find a decent one to enlarge. The photographer is suppose to know what they are doing and be creative. I had to tell them ideas. Also the photographer was not friendly, she was very rude and rushing us the whole time. I dont even have enough pictures of my husband and myself alone. The sound of the video is horrible! He missed many things of the wedding and the reception. I couldn't even see in pictures or video our first look. My husband cant an entrance speech and you can even understand it because of the horrible sound, the mic they used was horrible. Just writing about it reminds me that one of the most important things of my wedding day are the pictures and video because that is your memory forever of that special day and mine was a disaster. POOR Communication, POOR customer service. They might contact you from 'your' wedding website...but then you have no idea who you are speaking to or working with. Sometimes it's the consultant, sometimes it's 'wedding bug'. You get e-mails; texts; and phone from both--way too cumbersome to keep track of. --You'll be lucky if your consultant actually gives you any information, without interrupting and speaking over you--AND if you have a genuine concern, she may just dismiss you and take it personally. --Then supposedly when you reserve, they make you a website 'link' (w/o your permission)--with your info on it--would'a been nice to know. --They say they send links, but it's the generic 'bug' page, and you can't find anything. I still don't have a login--9 days out--but I have forms to fill out. I booked DJ only services. --when I contacted wedding bug via web form, I got an generic e-mail saying they received my request and will get back to me. Though the 'new' consultant I spoke with insists they sent me the DJ's information. --You'll be lucky if your consultant actually gives you any information, without interrupting and speaking over you. --the 'checklist' for day of event is poorly formatted and not editable. --I didn't find out until 9 days out that the DJ's brings all their own stuff. I received so much junk mail from this vendor that I finally clicked on a link to find out who they were/what they did and to see if I should unsubscribe. Initially, everything seemed fine. I even built a package, then decided not to move forward once I saw I'd have to put down a nearly $500 deposit towards vendors which (at that early stage) didn't exist yet. See, they take your money, THEN they match you with vendors. And from other reviews I've read, I may not meet said vendors until the day of the wedding. I was not cool with that, and during the research on vendors I've done so far I've been able to find comparable pricing, too, so I closed out the website and went about my day. Imagine my surprise when, 3-4 hours later, my phone rings and it's someone from Wedding Bug calling to follow up on my visit to their site! I did not create an account with them nor did I provide them with my phone number or authorize them to contact me in any way (remember, they were sending me junk mail after getting my email address from god-knows-what-wedding-show-or-shady-vendor; I didn't seek them out). I asked how she received my number and she said that they are a partner with David's Bridal (David's, you little sneak! I blame you for everything!) and got my information from them. So David's (you'll get yours, my pretty) gave out all my info to them and they somehow *knew* when I was on their website, despite the fact that I was at my work computer and not my cellular device or home device. CIA has nothing on these dirty wedding vendors. They have to get some stars for responsiveness; they knew I was looking then immediately followed up. Problem is, I didn't want the follow up. I was at work and if I wanted to chat with this Magoo or had questions, I would've contacted them. I let them know I didn't want to be contacted and guess what? This morning I get an email asking me to complete a survey and review their services on Wedding Wire! Your wish is my command, o Bug of Weddings! And as you've disputed my review on weddingwire.com, I'll make sure I get the word out using a forum you don't have a partnership with :) Bonus: the fact that I can't uncheck "text" under my phone # as I'm trying to unsubscribe is borderline criminal. I don't authorize you to text me. EVER. I can show a screenshot of the fact that I can't completely unsubscribe and even *trying* to update that info somehow authorizes you to contact me again. We are very disappointed in WeddingBug.com. We were initially excited to get a good deal on a photographer. I believe 4 hours with the photographer was less than $500. A few weeks went by, and after some initial conversations with the company, I thought I would give them a call to check in. Good thing I did, because I would have lost my deposit on that very day if I did not pay the balance. I misunderstood and thought the balance was due at the wedding. Is it too much to ask for a courtesy call to pay the remaining balance? Although the value was descent, their technology constantly failed and professionalism was unacceptable. Our wedding consultant was very nice at first- unit there was a problem with downloading our pictures. Instead of following through and helping is, she just shuffled us to someone else who didn't know what was going on. The app to view our pictures simply did NOT work for my guests and we wound up with hundreds of confused people. No pictures. Nothing. Blank screen on the android app, apple, and on the computer. We emailed Weddingbug.com and they acted like they did not believe us and kept resending the horrible app. They were defensive. Why not just be polite to the customer, listen, and solve the problem? How hard is that? After several weeks and hours and hours of frustration, someone finally emails and tells us to use Chrome instead of IE. Well, that would have been nice to know in the first place! It is true you "own" the rights to the pics but the website forces you to download them individually. It is not fun to download 1000+ pics individually. Our photographer was descent but he kept asking us if he wanted us to stay longer and asking for more money. It was uncomfortable. This company is simply not good. Our pictures turned out ok, but I wish I researched the company more. They are unprofessional and the technology is a disaster. Buyer beware! read more

This company is a scam. Please never deal with this company. Yes their prices are cheap but they don't follow through. I was told in the beginning, October of 2017, that I could update my contract up until the wedding day. Knowing that, my consultant, Lynne should have been checking up on my contract constantly. Nope. Never looked at it once. I never changed my contract. From day one I had put save the dates on the contract. We weren't informed that when you order save the dates, you automatically have an engagement shoot included. Not knowing this, we did our engagement shoot. It was done in November because my fiancé was going to be deployed from December to September. He wouldn't be back until a month before our wedding. February 2018 came by and I wondered why I hadn't been asked about save the dates. I called Lynne and she said I never had save the dates. She told me we still had time to schedule a photo shoot after I had already told her several times that he was deployed and it was too late for a photo shoot. Finally once she got the fact I had pictures of my own, she told me the save the dates would come in 2 weeks. They came in 3. The date on the save the dates were wrong. February 18. Which was the day I ordered them. They were supposed to say October 26. Now why would someone make save the dates for a wedding that has supposedly already happened? I contacted Lynne, who said it was because family member kept logging in? What? Clearly Lynne wasn't doing her job so I contacted another consultant, Shirley, and asked for another one. After telling her all the details...she even told me that we could still reschedule for a photo shoot. They don't listen at all. She told me I was "griping" and that "Lynne was one of the best". The next day Lynne called me and said she thought the photo shoot was on February 18 which doesn't answer why the date was wrong. She was very unprofessional and kept saying "I don't know why I did that", "I forgot that I did this". I was fed up and wanted to end the contract. So I sent an email to the corporate of the website explaining everything. When they called, we were told by another person that we still had time to do another photo shoot! After telling one person several times, telling another person twice, and sending a lengthy email...they still never got the fact we couldn't do the photo shoot. They refused to give us our deposit back. Speaking of that they only accept a certain payment so it can't be tracked back to them. After arguing for a while, we were finally told we wouldn't have to deal with them again and that we would get our deposit back. read more

I was extremely disappointed in the video footage that I received from Wedding Bug as I expected the videographer to record the wedding party as they were entering the church as this was the primary purpose of having it recorded because I knew I wouldn't be able to see the wedding processional! What bothered me even more is that he didn't even capture me walking down the isle which was totally beyond my understanding!!! I thought this would have been common knowledge; he spent too much time interviewing people of irrelevance when he should have been focusing on the wedding itself. In addition to poor footage, it took over 2 months to even receive the video, this was after requesting a refund and several emails to inquire about why it was taking so long. I was very disappointed by the lack of quality of this company and would not recommend their services to anyone! I can't get back those special moments of my wedding and regret the day that I ever decided to give this company a chance to cover such a special occasion in my life! Ask about special rates or discounts to help bring down the cost. I worked with Amy R. and she provided a lot of needed info, but not actual details of what you would receive. I was told that I would receive approximately 600 photos, but I received a little over half the photos that were taken. The explanation was that I was only to receive 1 photo per minute ( 4 hr. service). Never heard of that prior to hiring them and it's not stated in the contract. The contract states that client would receive ALL photos. The company picks out what photos they think you should have and they left out some of the most special moments captured. A lot of the pics selected looked to be duplicates of the same shot. Had I known that I would not receive all of the photos taken at my wedding, or at least allowed to select the photos I preferred, I would not have used this company. The photographer, Maverick L., was great and is very good at what he does, so definitely no complaints about him. read more
