House of Bash is the absolute best! We used them for our wedding this past March of 2024, which was at the Four Seasons in Atlanta. They coordinated everything from start to finish - everything from our venue search, contract negotiations, decor & florals, timelines, and every detail in between. My fiancé and I have told everyone that hiring House of Bash was the best decision we made during wedding planning. Wedding planning can be stressful but not with House of Bash :)

LT Townson is a Goddess amongst wedding planners! She is patient, calm, well-informed and knowledgeable when it comes to planning a wedding. In the wedding business it's important to remember you get what you pay for. This has been the best money spent in all of my wedding expenses, so far. Bash came HIGHLY-RECOMMENDED thru about 6 different websites, so I reached out to LT, and made arrangements to meet with her. I fell in love the minute I met her, and signed her immediately. There isn't anything LT won't do in the best way possible, to make this day amazing. She's planning it all, including the rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch, blocking rooms, hiring vendors, booking formal wear appointments, monitoring our budget, monitoring our wedding Web site, save-the-dates, invitations, the list goes on and on and on. I don't know how she keeps it all together, and looking effortless! To date, she has schlepped us to numerous wedding venues, catering tastings, vendor appointments, kept me from melting down numerous times in the midst of planning my wedding, is on-track with all of my whacky requests and handles my micro-managing with absolute grace, stays in constant e - mail contact with me, and is definitely the calm in the storm. I still have 9 months until my wedding, and without LT and Bash, I'd be lost and probably in a mental home by now. I will most definitely update my review once our wedding is over, but for now, I'm here to tell you that Bash Event Planning, and LT are AMAZING!!! I owe this wonderful woman a fishbowl-sized cocktail when this is all over. ;) read more

I wish I could write a glowing review, but my experience with House of BASH fell far short of what I expected from a professional wedding coordinator. A wedding is one of the most important days of a couple's life, and the reason we hired a coordinator was so that we could be present and enjoy the day rather than manage it ourselves. Unfortunately, my family, friends, and vendors ended up stepping into many of the responsibilities we specifically hired House of BASH to handle. What makes this especially disappointing is that the written scope of our $1,800 "Something Old" package explicitly included vendor management, master timeline creation, rehearsal coordination, guest direction, reception flow, troubleshooting, and two experienced House of BASH coordinators. The sales process vs. the reality When I first inquired with LT, she was extremely upbeat and confident on the phone and described everything House of BASH could provide. I initially planned to use her for both coordination and floral/design services. The design process was one of the first places where I became concerned. I provided a Pinterest board with the aesthetic and ideas I wanted, and the resulting proposal largely consisted of images from that board rather than a developed design presentation showing how those ideas would be translated into our wedding. The proposal itself was difficult for me to follow and did not give me confidence in moving forward with the additional design services. I ultimately decided not to continue with those additional services and lost $300 associated with the design process. At that point, I decided to handle much of the design myself. Communication and professionalism Once we moved into the planning process, my experience was very different from the initial sales call. Communication with LT was often blunt and made me uncomfortable asking questions. I was told things were "unusual" or "not what [she] experienced in years in the industry" when I asked questions or made decisions differently from how she typically runs weddings. I also worked primarily with an assistant throughout much of the planning process. When we had our venue walkthrough about a week before the wedding, the assistant asked questions about details we had already discussed, including linens and cocktail stirs, even though we had already confirmed we were not doing those items. More importantly, the questions that mattered most to the actual flow of our wedding were not discussed in the level of detail I expected from a coordinator. The package we purchased specifically included vendor management, master timeline creation, and two experienced House of BASH coordinators, so I expected the team executing our wedding to be very familiar with our plans. Timeline and preparation I chose to build our master timeline around our photographer's schedule because photography was extremely important to us. LT repeatedly described my approach as "unusual," and I felt pressured to follow her preferred way of doing things. Ultimately, I stayed with the timeline that worked for our photographer, and I am grateful I did because it allowed us to get the photographs that were important to us. The bigger issue was that I felt I had to prepare extensively for the coordinator rather than the coordinator preparing us. We created our own comprehensive wedding binder containing our timeline, vendor information, ceremony music, meal assignments, substitutions, and day-of instructions. We printed copies and distributed them to our wedding party and family because we wanted everyone to have access to the information. Despite that, even in the week leading up to the wedding, the coordination team was still asking questions about details such as ceremony music that were already clearly documented. The rehearsal Our rehearsal was scheduled for 11:00 AM. My wedding party and I were there on time, but LT arrived at approximately 11:08 AM. Eight minutes may not sound significant, but the package specifically included rehearsal coordination and leading the ceremony rehearsal so the wedding party would know where to be and when. I had not been given a clear answer beforehand about which coordinator would be present, so I personally had to call and text to figure out who was coming. That experience did not give me confidence going into the wedding day. Wedding-day coordination and vendor management This is where the difference between what we purchased and what we experienced became most apparent. Our package specifically included vendor management, oversight of vendor setup, coordination with catering, management of the day's timeline, guest direction, reception flow, and troubleshooting. Unfortunately, my family and I ended up stepping into several of these responsibilities. I had a fantastic experience with HOB for my wedding day this summer! We used them for month of coordination as well as wedding decor set up services. LT and team were extremely detail oriented, helpful, and I truly don't think the day could have gone better thanks to them. Worst experience ever and I would not recommend this company or LT. While they did coordinate the day of well, this is what I experienced throughout the entire time working with them (and I doubled check with my husband who read through the emails to make sure it wasn't just me): -unnecessary and continual gaslighting of "you're not trusting the process" when I ask simple logistics questions when confused such as "who should I be paying?" -no follow up 2-3 months prior to wedding after booking 6 months prior- when reaching to ask when they would be follow up I again get a "you need to trust the process" -sending inaccurate invoice payments and unorganized charges. I got 5 different charges (in which some did not have labels). When asked if these could be compiled, I get a defensive comment. When asked about the extra $1000 in subtotal, LT said it was labour cost. When asked if she could correct it, she simply stated "I can't and I don't know why its not showing up" without any resolve -Wedding planner not showing up to walk through and with no explanation -VERY inappropriate accusations & defensive statements of "As my assistant told you I had family emergency (as to why she didn't show up)" -this is our first time ever hearing an explanation -Followed up with inappropriate photos & statements of sending us photos of her son in the hospital & stating "my son is more important" (this literally came out of somewhere) The flowers listed in LT's list included sky blue delphiniums, because my theme was blue and green. They presented not only white flowers, but and humongous bouquet that covered half my body knowing that I am a petite size and that I would only have one hand to hold the bouquet. I had to ask 3 times to get it continually resized. Others in the party agreed that the bouquet was not an appropriate size for a bride to be carrying in general -Lastly, while the day of wedding coordinator was cordial (and I only met her day before wedding) she did not give off a kind impression & I honestly expected a kinder manner for something as big as a wedding It got so bad I have documented all the inappropriate emails. We used House of Bash to coordinate my daughter's Day of Wedding only. They were very thorough and professional and the reception went very smoothly. My daughter wanted me to enjoy the day, and not worry about vendors and setting up tables. I was skeptical beforehand, because we had booked all our own vendors, but the closer the day arrived, I was extremely thankful for LT and HOB taking over the reception. The venue only gave us 3 hours for set up, and when I arrived with a van full of decor, they hustled to unload it all and set everything up exactly as we had discussed. I didn't have to lift a finger. They also coordinated with our vendors to make sure everything was delivered on time, and followed up when the cake delivery was running late. After the reception, they also put everything back in boxes and loaded my van. My husband and I could never have done it all by ourselves, and we would not have been able to enjoy the reception if I had to worry about all the details and setup. HOB was well worth the extra money so that we could relax and just enjoy the reception. The month prior to the wedding, It seemed like we filled out pages and pages of info. We did not talk on the phone much, everything was communicated via email, and we had to get used to that process. I guess that makes sense, so that there are no miscommunications, but in the end, it was all worth it. I would definitely recommend them for the Day of Wedding services. read more

I hired House of Bash as the coordinator and florist for my wedding on 9/30/23 at the Fox Theatre, and I can't recommend them enough! The flowers at my wedding were so beautiful. And the coordination services were great - they helped create such a flawless wedding day for me. I never had to worry about coordinating all of my vendors before or on the wedding day. They created and communicated the timeline to everyone and ensured that everything went smoothly the day of. Even when our caterers were running behind, LT was able to catch us back up so we could open the dance floor on time. I had my dream wedding day, and House of Bash played a big role in that. If you're thinking about hiring them for florals or coordination, DO IT!! read more

So my experience with House of Bash. Had a great interview call and decided LT was the most organized and on top of day-of coordination though a little more than I wanted to spend (which included basic organization vendor coordination About 4-6 weeks before the wedding date, 1 walkthrough date, 1 hour of rehearsal, and with my plan 8 hours of day-of coordination with 2 planners). I signed the contract and paid for all fees on the deadline. We met to also discuss floral and decor and for the wedding & reception- the ideas were great but very very expensive. I had a budget in the meeting and the proposal I got back was more than DOUBLE that number with an email saying she "forgot" what my budget was. Fortunately, I am very observant and know she wrote our budget down on her pad plus know- budget should always be within reason in this business not over double. I decided to go with another floral/decor company that fit my vision and worked with my budget and was amazing. I feel that unless you go with both their planning and floral/decor you won't get their 100%. I know I wasn't the easiest- But it's because I knew what I wanted and I expected House of Bash to take the planning. I expected LT to be there as I was led to believe but I didn't get what I paid for. They were great and organized with their online portal which was extremely helpful. I used that in coordination with my DJ/ MC's online portal. I will also say this- I had my wedding planned for a while- so I had details planned, I knew what I wanted. I am also a "former" certified wedding planner (it expires)- so I had known what needed to be done. I signed the contract understanding LT, the planner I met with, would be my wedding planner. Unfortunately, come the wedding weekend, her assistant and another person I had no contact with were in charge of our wedding. I chose LT because she knew what she was doing and was strong and could handle a rowdy wedding party (as ours was) but didn't get that. On the day of, I basically had to guide the day and guide my wedding planners as to what to do. I had an awesome wedding day but I did hire House of Bash in hopes that I wouldn't have to line up the wedding party myself. My suggestion- if you hire House of Bash and only talk to LT, make sure you're getting her as your actual day of planner. I was disappointed in Ida and her assistant's performance when I expected to get LT which is what I paid for. I didn't get what I paid for. read more

Do not let House of BASH trick you into providing free hard-working labor for them during the midst of interviewing for an Assistant Wedding Coordinator role like they did me. As part of my interview process, I was asked to participate in a trial day at a wedding with the owner, LT, and another assistant. I worked 12.5+ hours during the trial at a very intense wedding, but I was unaware that my work was being volunteered. The clients were unaware that I was there on a trial basis, and I doubt they know that I was not ultimately paid for the services I provided them that day. I had asked specifically about compensation for the trial day on a prep phone call and was told that the owner would be in follow-up with me afterwards and that she handled all compensation matters. I had to email them twice over the course of a week to find out clarification about compensation for the trial day. This is what their response was: "In terms of the trial day, it is non-paid. The trial day is equivalent to a second round of your interview and gives us the opportunity to see if you are a good fit for the company but also allows you to see if you will be able to commit to working as a House Of BASH employee." My main issue is that there was ample opportunity to tell me this beforehand, and that they did not respect my time enough to pay me anything at all after dedicating 12.5+ hard working hours to them. They ultimately offered me the position and said I would be paid $150 for working a wedding and $175 for working a wedding/rehearsal dinner in the future. They did not consider my request to be paid some sort of compensation for the trial day. Be cautious that they do not take advantage of you like they did me during the interview process. read more

Omg LT and her team are INCREDIBLE! I literally could not imagine having a wedding without this rockstar team. They are organized, efficient, super responsive and just there to make your day stress free and smooth. Her whole team was so kind and hardworking throughout my wedding day and everything went perfectly. They responded to my endless emails quickly and kept me informed about the timing of everything. If I had the opportunity to select a day-of wedding coordinator again, I would NOT go with this group again. We had to postpone our wedding a month before our date due to the Coronavirus, and this group, who was meant to be providing me with day-of coordination services, refused to refund me any more than 15% of the total value paid, even though they had not put in anywhere near 85% of the work yet. When I tried to reschedule, their lack of availability made it impossible to also coordinate with my many other venues and vendors, in part because other brides postponing due to the virus were rescheduling for the same time. Every other vendor and venue I've interacted with and every other business people around me are working through are making concessions and are being flexible with this virus. House of Bash even refused to give back money I gave them TWO DAYS before I cancelled that was meant to go towards 1.5 additional hours of service on the DAY OF THE WEDDING. They had done nothing yet for it and refused to give it back. With everything we have had to go through in postponing this wedding, we expected more from this vendor and we were very disappointed with their response to the situation. They've now refused to give back the 15% refund they promised because I had the audacity to share my experience online. In other words, they would only give me back the measly 15%, when I'm owed at least 50%, because I chose to tell other people about my experience. Thank goodness for my freedom of speech and for Yelp's platform to share the truth with other consumers. read more

We hired LT for our day-of coordinator. When we met her in person, she was by far the most organized and well-prepared! She had personalized folders and brochures, with all of the different packages, their costs, and what services are included in them. We were impressed! LT offered to help with a few things in advance of the wedding, but was pretty clear that services were for day-of, which meant she entered the picture about a month and a half before the wedding. Before that, she offered a wedding portal to help organize vendors, contact information, and payment schedules. These do not send you reminders of payments, but they are listed on the main page. Unless you are checking it, the website is not really that helpful for the couple, but is helpful when LT starts to reach out to vendors in advance. I think that is where there was a lot of "behind the scenes" action of which my husband and I were unaware. For the walk-through, LT was again very prepared. She arrived with her assistant, who was very friendly. She took copious notes of what we expected and worked very well with the venue coordinator. During our wedding weekend (rehearsal, ceremony, and reception), they were both very attentive, organized, professional, and on time! They even drove my husband personally from the hotel to the venue to ensure he arrived on time!! All vendors arrived on time and everything was set up perfectly! There were several items that LT placed herself that we didn't specify and they were gorgeous and well-planned. The wedding day went off without a hitch, as far as we knew! The only snafu that I really knew of was the underlayer of my dress not staying bustled. TWICE it came undone and each time LT was right there with various tools to fix it! Everyone had a fantastic time! We couldn't have done it without her. read more

Unfortunately LT was not present for most of my wedding. We saw her there for maybe a total of ten minutes. Without asking my permission, she sent two young associates who were unfamiliar with the event in her place. There were not very many tasks for them to handle as day of coordinator for our small, simple wedding, but nothing was done to even a basic level of satisfaction. My vendors were upset because even though all the details were provided to LT months in advance, LT procrastinated until the last week to provide the timeline, which was also very stressful for me since by that time I was quite busy. The timeline was incorrect and required several requests to correct errors. Even the last moment of my wedding, the sparkler send off was ruined. LT's associates insisted that we wait until their cue to exit the building. They waited far too long until all the sparklers had fizzled out to have us exit. My sisters managed to pass around a couple extra sparklers but only enough for a few people. How they could mess up something so simple is hard to understand. Maybe if LT had showed up for the wedding it would have been a little better, but somehow I doubt it. I have considered suing but I don't want to relive the negative experience. read more

LT made our day the most wonderful day ever. She honestly exceeded our expectations. My husband and I had a clear picture of what we wanted our day to look like and LT made every wish come true. We had some wacky requests at times (like shots before the ceremony lol, or cars that had to drive to whole wedding party to Piedmont Park), but everything went so smoothly and LT seemed like she had everything under control the whole day! No question or request or change of idea was too much for her. She was professional, friendly and on point!!! Honestly, LT was the best investment of the whole wedding, our day would not have been as amazing without her. If I can give anyone advice when it comes to wedding planning, invest in your planner/coordinator, its worth it!!!! And well, if you are lucky enough to book LT, your wedding will be flawless. read more

LT lived up to her reputation. I hired her for day-of coordination, which includes doing all of the vendor coordination in the couple of months leading up to the wedding. Now I understand why other brides who don't hire coordinators are stressed out close to the date - they have to do that themselves. I didn't have to lift a finger when it came to confirming the vendors would show up, what time they would show up, what parking validations they'd need, meals they'd need, summarizing their contact info for the vendors, etc. All of those tiny details, LT handled effortlessly (from my purview!) I couldn't have been happier with my choice of coordinators. I also had a few last minute (day of!) changes in the guest list, and she and her assistant Brittany took care of all of the downstream effects. I also hired LT for her floral design services and while I provided the overall vision from my pinterest pics, again, the tiny details like size and shape of vases, number of candles per table, table setting.... she and the florist executed the design to my desires with very little input from me! Exactly what I was looking for. read more
