It's difficult to put into words how much Historic Naylor Hall means to me. Endless positive adjectives can be used to describe the experience, people, and place that helped us have our fairytale of a day. From the minute my then fiancé and I met with owner Sunny Bailey, we were treated with such kindness, genuine care, and professionalism. It took us but an hour to agree to have our wedding there. The house is beautiful. It's what initially drawls you in with it's beautiful old charm mixed with modern touches, but what get's you to stay are the people. Every interaction with Sunny and her right hand lady, Abbey, are warm, caring, and genuine. Although this is their place of business, they'll make the bride, groom, and family make sure their wedding is as close to perfection as possible. My husband and I went with the package that Naylor Hall offers and we did not regret it! With him working 60 hours a week, me working 40 along with getting my masters degree, it's a route any couple will appreciate to help in easing the stress of wedding planning. Naylor Hall has partnered with amazing vendors that will bring your perfect wedding vision come to life. I suggest every couple get married at Naylor Hall! You'll feel like royalty and receive the most absolute loving, fun, happy time of your life!

I cannot think of enough great things to say about Sunny, Abbey and all of the staff at Naylor Hall. From the moment we stepped into Naylor Hall for the first time, we knew it was where we wanted to have our April 2019 wedding. The location and breathtaking venue speak for itself, but what truly makes Naylor Hall stand out from other venues is the seamless experience Abbey and Sunny provide. They know exactly what they are doing when it comes to venue setup, wedding day timeline, vendor suggestions to name a few. We(like many others) needed help and suggestions envisioning how our day would flow. Not only did Sunny and Abbey provide great, detailed suggestions, they executed what they said they would do perfectly on our wedding day! Not to mention, Naylor's perfect location on Canton street allows plenty of options for guests to walk around, eat, drink, and explore before or after your event! My best advice to couples considering Naylor Hall for their wedding is to trust Sunny and Abbey with what they suggest. They are truly experts at what they do, they are some of the nicest and most genuine ladies I've ever worked with, and they made us feel truly special on our big day. If you believe Naylor Hall is the venue for you, look no further!!

Today marks 25 years since we said, "I do." (July 1, 1995). Sunny and her team at Naylor Hall have become part of our life story. Our wedding was the best wedding we have ever attended! Sunny anticipated every need, handled every little detail and made our day exactly what we wanted. I wish I could explain to young brides how often you will lean back into the magic of this day as you grow as a couple in your marriage year after year. In times of struggle, my husband and I have this day to look back on and remember how in love and how LOVED we were. I can still smell the flowers, taste the cake, hear the laughter of my loved ones...all of it remains a clear memory of our start together. Trusting Sunny with the details allowed me to focus on my husband and my family and friends. When we look back on our photos now we have such a feeling of home - from the planning sessions, to the event, to the little basket of food and bottle of champagne she sent with us in the Limo as we drove away, Sunny answered every call, calmed my nerves, and took such good care of us. I called her today to say thank you...to tell her what a lasting blessing Naylor Hall and her team have been in our lives. She remembered us! After 25 years of weddings, she recalled details from our event. What a gift...bride to be, this is an amazing place to start your adventure. Our family and friends STILL talk about our wedding day 25 years later. NO REGRETS. I would book Naylor Hall again TOMORROW to be remarried to this man I love in the place that made our memory of this day a lasting day of celebration!

I recently visited Naylor Hall for a wedding, and as soon as I stepped foot on the property, I nearly instantaneously fell in love. From the hall itself, a beautiful southern mansion, to the service and food, Naylor Hall was practically perfect.

Sunny and her team at Naylor have hosted 3 events that I have either helped to plan or attended as a guest over the past year and a half. They were all absolutely flawless events. Her attention to detail is almost criminal! Two specific examples: rather than just have generic roses as gifts for our guests, she worked to find a whole seller who would get us gorgeous roses, clean them (take off the thorns), and 'plump' them so that they appeared bright and full. She got us those roses at cost and they were better than anything we could have found on her own. Another example came when I attended a Derby Party as a guest-- from the names of the drinks to the twinkle lights to the carriage rides around town-- no detail was too trivial or small. She has the ability to transform Naylor Hall to whatever the event demands. It is remarkable! In terms of vendors like food, etc, she has a preferred list (folks she has worked with before and who know the kitchen, for example) but was open to other vendors as long as she had the opportunity to meet with and vet them beforehand. Considering the unique location and needs around that, it makes sense that she needs to be sure each vendor understands the gem that is Naylor Hall. As someone who hadn't needed caterers in that area before, I really appreciated having a 'short list' of caterers to choose from. We landed on one that we LOVED and there were vendors in every price range to help us find the right fit. We've done our luncheons inside for the most part, but we're already brainstorming how we can utilize the gorgeous lawn space next year. If you're looking for southern charm, a creative genius, the queen of check-lists, and a venue that is truly memorable, look no further than Naylor Hall!

The food was also incredibly good and the bar even took the steps to serve modified Old Fashioneds (no simple syrup). However, their customer service ahead of and at the end of the wedding (and even how they treat their staff) was well below expectations. And as you will see in their response below, they continue to argue with customers (and in this case their guests after the fact). It's quite surprising to see a vendor argue with someone in a public place. A bit about my background, I led a $2B business selling to a major retailer - and in my career, I never argued back with that customer because it seemed dumb to argue with folks keeping us in business. So, the response below (and now in a picture) is shocking to see on a $30k+ per transaction business. It also seems to imply that 'pushy attitude' is written in their contract and they will not flex from what's in the contract. Example, the venue had no booking during the day and so opening early, seemed possible [maybe they bill for 1-2 people to be there from the venue itself?]. Their actions and sometimes lack of - led to a higher than expected stress level for the bride and family. All of these things seem easy to remedy on their part. However, if you decide to get married here - it seems critical to have everything you expect of them spelled out in the contract (down to requiring the demeanor of the management to be polite, consistent, and responsive). As I understand it, many commitments were made by the venue ahead of the big day - only to be told over email at 1 AM, two nights before, were not included. This is after leading up to the event never being able to have a consistent contact person - perhaps, requiring the event sales rep to give their cell # to customers is a good idea? One example, was saying last minute they would not provide vases for the flowers on tables. In a last stitch effort, vases were rented from the florist. Day of, the venue was insistent that those coming to decorate could not be in Ivy Hall any sooner than 4pm for a 6pm start. At the end of the night, the staff quickly broke down the tables and expected those of us packing up the gifts, vases, flowers, signs, etc to be extremely quick. Amidst that chaos, there were candles and plastic domes around them sitting next to other things that were the wedding party's. We started packing the white candles and the manager came over and said "Those aren't yours! And great, you messed them up!" She then proceeded to chastise the bar tender for not paying attention to us stealing things. Why would we want 10-20 used candles? And, my girlfriend overheard them loudly say 'we're trying to get them out of the bridal suite' - when they were packing up the bride's things. As an aside, it takes me back a little to have the management call the bride's family "vendors" in her response (see picture) as we were the ones setting up and taking down decorations. Great venue, good food, bad service. A well spelled out contract defining your (not just theirs as the management states in their comment) expectations is a must-have if you do a wedding or other event at Ivy Hall. You only get one wedding, venues do many of them - might consider elsewhere if you are seeking guidance from the venue's experts throughout this once in a lifetime event for you.

The person who answered stated they couldn't book the reservation themselves but assured him someone would call back shortly to confirm. Unfortunately, no one ever called back. After that, no one answered the phone for the rest of Tuesday, Wednesday, or most of Thursday. When he finally reached someone right before closing on Thursday, he was told they were completely booked. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing due to the lack of communication and follow-up. We understand places get busy, but not returning calls and then suddenly being fully booked after initially confirming availability is poor customer service. Their reservation system also clearly needs improvement. An online reservation model would make much more sense because the current phone-based process is not working effectively. Although I've enjoyed tea here on a couple of different occasions, the experience is not astonishing enough to return after this reservation experience.
