Adorable spot! Came to town for a court hearing and had to pop in. A short walk from the Justice Center and across from the library. Great service, interesting menu, and cozy setting. Variety of seating options including outside, bright space, and interesting menu. Drinks were quickly prepared and excellent. Also tried the breakfast burrito - yummy but could have used a veggie or two. Overall a wonderful spot. Absolutely worth a trip! read more

Ever since I moved to Cynthiana, I've been wishing they had a cute coffee shop. And honestly, I had just planned to look into doing it myself in a few years if no one else did. Thankfully, The Main Cup is now here! The Main Cup is everything I wished for and everything Cynthiana needed. Adorable house turned into a simple coffee shop with small tables, couches, delicious drinks, and yummy pastries. Husband and I came in here one morning a couple weeks ago and loved it. He ordered a hot chocolate and I opted for a Dirty Chai -- a chai tea with a shot of espresso. This can be kind of a tricky drink to make but they nailed it! It was the best Dirty Chai I've ever had! I'm hoping this place is here to stay. read more

Visited here today and loved it! They have really unique baked goods (I bought a Carmel Apple muffin with cream cheese frosting), and the coffee was great. This is owned by the Presbyterian church next door and love that concept. They have a good bit of seating available in different rooms, books on the walls you can read, and even a small kids play area. They were super quick getting our order and they have a nice bathroom available if you need to make a pit stop here. We were just passing through but I enjoyed it so much I had to write a review about it! Next time, I want to try the bourbon brownies they had in the case. Did I mention they have lunch foods? During a recent stop in Cynthiana I asked a few friends for coffee shop recommendations. The reply was...there's one so I drove to The Main Cup. There was roadside parking available in front of a transformed house. The baristas were extremely nice and welcoming and they serve coffee from a local toaster - Nate's. While talking with them I learned that they are a non profit who donate all proceeds to a clean water initiative. Knowing I was getting local coffee while also supporting a great cause is awesome! This is the cutest little coffee shop ever! The employees are friendly and give the place a nice hometown feel. I really like the quiche and chicken salad. So far I have bought a different kind of coffee every visit and haven't found one I didn't like yet! Be sure to get a rewards card to get a punch towards a free coffee with each purchase. It's a great place to go when you want to talk to someone or if you need time to work or study. The rooms are cozy and there is a little library in the back with books you can read there or trade for. I only wish they were open longer! read more
