Still great but like many places these days a little understaffed. Try the noodle soups and Pho. All great on a cold day.

We stopped by here because they had a giant bowl of noodles on the outside. And when we got in, we found it to be delicious. The staff was very friendly. We ordered 2 appetizers. One was the golden pouch, and the other was shrimp Spring rolls. They were both delicious. I ordered the asparagus lovers with chicken. Lots of asparagus and mushrooms with a brown gravy that was very flavorful. My partner ordered the giant noodle bowl with chicken. It was hugh and delicious. They were both very flavourful, and fresh ingredients were used.

*** Review is during COVID-19 *** The people here are very nice... and everyone I saw was wearing a mask. Even other customers (other than those currently eating inside) came in with masks on! People were seated a socially distanced amount from each other. I ordered ahead by calling and placing the order on my phone. I came around the time they gave and didn't have to wait too long before I had my food, paid, and was out the door. From being in there for a short while, I did like the atmosphere... kind of dark and mood-light-y in a peaceful way. They actually have a pretty large menu! That always makes me happy to have lots of different choices. I ordered the Panang Curry, which I have had at a few different restaurants. It was very good and flavorful. I didn't realize until as I was eating it though, that they never asked me about spice level like I'm used to. I'm not sure if it was just a forgotten question due to takeout ordering via the phone, or if they just don't do that here. I love spicy food and have a pretty high tolerance for heat, so I probably would have gotten it a level or two higher, but I think a lot of people would consider it spicy. Even for me, it had enough of a kick to be satisfying on the spicy front. I got mine with chicken, which was good. They gave a decent amount of it but not a ton. As usual, the curry also came with rice, which was pretty standard. Fortune cookies were in a bucket at the front desk, and I'm glad I noticed them there as I was waiting for my food. The fortunes inside were actually better than most I've gotten in a while... so good job with choosing a good company to get your fortune cookies from, too.

Good food that keeps me coming back for more! I love their soups - sukiyaki when I have an appetite or wonton soup if I just want something small. Their side dishes are also delectable and are fun to share in groups. I've never had a bad experience with the service in the past 3 years of coming here(not sure why other people have had that issue)... but sometimes they can be slow if they are busy. It's worth the wait though once the food comes out!

Food is okay, service okay, but they would get more business if they were friendlier ..... I wanted to order off the regular menu but he threw down the lunch menu and walked off ....

Clear noodles with chicken and shrimp- Idk what the dish is called but it was yummy.

No, Joplin is not the go-to city for delicious food but it does have some hidden gems and this place is one of them. I've been here twice and I've been satisfied every time. The food is delicious and filling with a great price tag. The last time I went, I got some type of clear noodles with chicken and shrimp. Whatever the dish is called, I recommend it (see attached picture). The service and the setting are not that great but don't let that stop you from going!

Thai Time was one of the only places that wasn't fast food that was open around 9 PM. The restaurant is very small and I think most people pick up takeout from the drive-thru (Most Thai places in California are sit-down, so experiencing drive-thru Thai was very novel to me), but we dined in. We ordered a peanut-sauce chicken that came with steamed veggies and rice (Rama chicken), as well as a Singapore-style curry noodle with stir-fried celery, pepper, and carrots (Lion City noodles). They were alright--nothing really to write home about, but something that my body appreciated after days of brisket and burnt ends (lol). The chicken dish would have been extremely bland without the peanut sauce, and the curry vermicelli was on the salty side. For fast food Thai, our dinner wasn't cheap, either. I think we paid around $37-40 (including tip) for two dishes. I'm still giving this place a 4/5 because service was fast and friendly, the food was okay, and I always like to support local Asian businesses.

Prices were not too bad as it was $16.99, but soft drinks are not included and you have to pay extra. They have a good assortment of food and they tell you the recipe to make some of the sauces. I ended up having a bowl full of vegetables and meat the first shot. Then, I ended up getting some noodles and making my own version of a supreme pizza which did not taste bad at all. If it does get busy, beware that it does take some time to cook the meal. If you give the cooks a tip, they do a song of some sort like at Cold Stone. Service was good and our server was friendly as they cleared out the tables fast. Even though the receipt says an extra charge, she did not charge us for it and we ended up giving more tip.

Like many restaurants in Joplin, the outside is often nothing to get excited about and as someone who works in graphic design and advertising I'm heavily influenced by presentation and packaging. Don't judge this book by the cover! The inside looks really cute, upscale and trendy with an Asian vibe but not over the top or kitschy. This is a palce I would be happy bringing clients, friends or a date night dinner. The inside would fit right in San Francisco, LA or Chicago. The menu is shorter but still has plenty of choices. I highly recommend trying the soups as they serve several traditional Thai and Vietnamese along with the typical Chinese-American soups. My wife had a beef fried rice dish and I had the beef and meatball Pho. Sort of my starter test, if they do well on the Pho I will come back and try them again. The Pho was simpler than others I've had but still very good. I thought it was a bit mild, not in a spicy hot way, but in seasoning. If your looking for a comforting warm broth on a cold day this would hit the spot. Adding a little balck sauce (always on the table) was just enough added flavor. However I felt the Pho needed more vegetables; carrots, cabbage, bok choy, onion etc. It may just be their still but although very good it was basically broth, meat, sprouts (which I love) and sweet basil (instead of cilantro). Again, it was still very good but why I only gave them four stars. My wife's dish was elegant, and I'd even say fancy. Instead of dumping everything in a big bowl and calling it fried rice each element was presented seperately and generiously. Her dish was far more flavorful and complex than mine. She honestly had made a better selection and perhaps I ordered something that was not their best dish. I think my wife would have rated them five stars. Last we also ordered the fresh translucent spring rolls with the peanuty dipping sauce. It was perfect, fresh, cool, crisp and always fun to see through the translucent wrap. The sauce was so good we wanted to eat it with a spoon after the spring rolls were consumed.
