Great experience at this cafe after a long day of hiking. Very friendly staff. Good menu options…read more We got a round of milkshakes!! Delicious. They also have hand cut fries. Good portions and fair pricing. Plenty of seating. Quick service. Honestly better than a lot of the food in the area. Would come back here!

Review # 20 for 2025…read more For a cafe in the middle of nowhere at a National Park, this place was great and very reasonably priced!! It was a very pleasant surprise. We got to Great Basin early in the morning to try and get stand by tickets for the observatory tour and so we did not have time to get breakfast in the morning. We also had a cave tour that morning right after signing up for tickets. We did bring some food, but lunch meats type of lunch and I wanted to get some hot food for my baby boy as it was cold and raining on/off that day. They are open from 8am-5pm everyday. There was a good variety of food. I ended up getting the loaded breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were a bit overcooked but overall it tasted good. My baby sure loved it! It was topped with cheese and bacon and costs around $10. I also got an iced mocha and cold brew for the hubby. My husband liked his cold brew, I like my mocha a bit less sweet but it did the job for me. It does get really busy so expect a wait if it's busy as there is one person in the front and one in the back making the food. The lady taking my order was very nice and helpful. There are a handful of tables inside, as well as a handful of tables outside. There are also some park picnic tables if you walk around behind the building a bit. Would I come back here? If I was at Great Basin again I totally would! Other items I saw people ordered looked really good too!! The prices are very fair and I would definitely get some hot food here and not pack so much food next time around. I really wanted to try the chili!

We were so pleased that this place has excellent food, as it's the only restaurant in the area! We…read moreate there for two dinners and one breakfast while visiting GBNP. The servers were next-level friendly and prompt despite the dinner rush, they have some fun art, and it's a peaceful place. I really loved the green beans, and another favorite item was the apricot sorbet. They make a ton of items, which is very cool. I only wish they had a few more dairy-free items (especially for breakfast), but what they do offer is far better than expected for this remote location- it would stand up in any metro area. My husband raved about the root beer float, pasta, and pizza. Dinner is sit-down and if you go for breakfast or lunch, it's counter service. They have an extremely well-stocked bar- we didn't partake, but many around us did, and drinks looked excellent.

The owners are selling the restaurant so the great looking food on the website and in yelp pictures is no longer offered. The menu consisted of burgers, pizza, the saddest brisket ever, ravioli, and some salads. The ravioli and pizza were ok at best. The brisket was pretty awful. While there are some pretty neat old pictures inside, the rest of the restaurant decor seems really random. The lady that served us seemed nice and was on top of bringing us everything we ordered in a timely manner. We weren't able to try the homemade ice cream sandwiches as there seemed to be some kind of problem with the freezer. Will not return.
