This is one of a few places to eat in Baker. It's a food truck with some covered seating. We had chicken street tacos. 2/3 kids really enjoyed them. The service is a bit slow but I suspect that's because it's made to order. Given the few options in town, this was our best food experience. read more

Sandra prepares excellent Mexican street food in a few minutes. It's reasonably priced and she accepts credit cards or cash, and maybe Venmo. You can sit on the covered porch and eat at a picnic table. During the off-season, November 5 today, this is now the only prepared food in town. She is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. If it says closed on the truck window, she may be gone just a bit to bring her kids home from school. Sandra also has several new lodging units for rent. read more

I was craving tacos after a day-long hike, and this was literally the only place in town. I ordered three street tacos (beef) and had to wait almost 30 minutes. I wish she had a helper because there was another batch of orders from a group of boys before me, so I guess that's why it took long. Anyways, the beef was good, taco sauce was tasty, tortilla was delicious and held its shape. However, the lettuce looked a day old (turned dark), and there was just a pinch of cilantro on one of them. read more

Came here after a day of hiking in Great Basin. Bless the person that was working; I know she was hustling. But the food was not great. We didn't mind waiting, as it was nice outside (~30 min wait). When the food came out, we didn't get the birria ordered, and it overall wasn't the best. Would not recommend the torta or quesabirria (the latter was just a quesadilla). Tacos are the way to go here to keep it simple. Our stomachs weren't super pleased that night. Wanted to love this. It did have good hours, but I'd be weary. read more

Staying in Baker tonight and I asked for recommendations on a place to eat. I was told the only place to get food is a food truck. Since this is a very small place I was not quite sure about it but was hungry. I was pleasantly surprised! The chicken tacos were pretty plain but they had great flavor. I would eat there again! What an amazing find driving through the little town of Baker! We had the quesabirria and pork burritos. Both came with salsa, fluffy Mexican rice and and lettuce/onion/cilantro. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the burrito with crispy cheese on one side. Will stop here next time we're in the area, highly recommend!! read more

Terrible! We had to wait more than one hour. The burritos we got were cold and tasteless. The lady of the foodtruck was also very unfriendly. DO NOT GO THERE. You can get delicious pizza slices in the general store where the service is quick and people are friendly. read more

The burrito I had was very delicious!! There were a few spots to sit not too much, but there was a nice little covered spot to sit I liked that the meat was cooked perfectly and not too spicy. Even with cilantro. With my better half being allergic to dairy, she was good at listening to his concerns and assured him that there would be no dairy. Good food. We were staying in town while visiting Great Basin and stopped here for dinner. Really the only option for dinner but I'd choose to go back here anytime! I was skeptical because it's Baker NV, but these were the best *beef* birria tacos I've ever had. I had to ask for the consommé with it, so be sure to do that if you get the birria or quesabirria tacos, but yeah it was damn good. The rest of the party was likewise impressed by their meals as well. Would have liked a rojo salsa in addition to the green but you take what you get when you're this remote. It was still terrific overall. Onions and cilantro were very fresh and tasty on the tacos, too, particularly for such a remote location. Highly recommend this spot. read more
