While there, I didn't have high hopes of finding quality coffee in this beautiful but tiny one traffic light town. I was wrong. Way wrong. As a coffee snob, I can fully recommend this gem of a mom and pop business. The menu is great. The food menu is great. The staff is awesome. And my high school friend from California lives in beaver and knows the owner. Small world. Go. Get some real coffee.

I was a little disappointed in the lack of matcha flavor it offered. It was also heavy on the milk flavor rather than matcha. The croissant was good with a slight flakiness and buttery flavor. It was a little more bready than with those great flaky layers. My friend said his Mexican hot chocolate was good and had a subtle spiciness. The service was friendly enough. They offer a very good amount of inside seating. There's a variety of house baked goods available. It's a busy place.

For bonus points, their drink station is well stocked - they have vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, and other powders to doctor up your drink, plus simple syrup, honey, agave, and more. The attention to detail here was great. They also have a little free library area as well as branded stickers for sale to remember your visit to the area.

The Cowgirl Fire Water was so good that I went back a second time to order it again. It's a mocha with toasted marshmallow! The Pink Starburst Lotus was absolutely delicious, I wish I could have it every day. Get a Kolache while you're at it, such a cool thing to pair with the yummy drinks! And before we know it, food came in like less than 5 minutes, which was oddly strange, since to cook all this food it should ideally take at 10-15 minutes at least. First thing we wanted to eat was our rare steak that we picked this restaurant for. But instead we got the steak that was more of than well done which was very leathery to eat. We couldn't even finish rest of the food since it felt like microwaved food coming out from the kitchen. On top of that when we mentioned about the steak, they said they will discount the price and we thought since we didn't got what we asked for it won't be charged but we had to pay for the price of steak which was not honest at all. If you don't know how make a proper steak then don't serve it or don't ask ' how would you like your steak'. Calling it a steakhouse is not justified, when you're not serving people what they asked for and still have to pay for it. I would never go back again. Worst service we got. If the place couldn't take us for food they should've told us and we could have gone somewhere else to eat. Very very disappointed.
